EVEN Hotel Times Square South

4.0 out of 5.0

While NYC tends to be gritty (ok the place really could use a powerwash) this hotel is a nice oasis. Lots of restaurants and safe location with the police station a few buildings down.

I stayed at EVEN with my friend for 3 nights. Everything is good, especially the location. The only downside is the noise from the street, but after all it is New York.

Was great for us, my wife wanted to be in the Garment District, and it was an easy walk from Penn Station (flew in /out of Newark). Lots of good local food and bars, very clean and new looking. In- room exercise equipment even got some use!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting NYC. Great location and clean comfortable accommodations. If you find this hotel for under $350 it's a definite deal.

Most hotels on orbitz state if there is construction or at least inform guest but I was alarmed with a bunch of construction workers starring through my window.

Great place to stay near MSG. Very clean, great staff but slow elevators.

the room was small but clean. hotel wasn't spectacular in any way. the ac was not working in our room when we got there, but they fixed it. on the way out one elevator was broken and it was a pain to go up and down 10 floors.

Pretty cool hotel in the 30's. Nice touches like automated lighting and curtains in room. Provided yoga mat, resistance bands, etc, were a smart touch. Rooms were very clean, pergo flooring much better than standard carpet. Id stay here again for sure.

I booked 1 night at Even. The rooms are nice: a big surprise was that the floors were covered in faux wood, instead of wall-to-wall carpet, which is unusual for hotels but something I wished more hotels did, since carpets can get nasty. The bed was comfortable, shower was hot/good water pressure, the overall room was clean and modern. However, I was startled awake on several occasions. Mainly, there was an unruly group of guests who were wasted and I could hear every word, including saying some scary stuff (calling the in-hotel bartender, who apparently called their room to tell them they didn't pay their bill, a bunch of expletives. Yes, I got this much detail because these people were literally having a screaming drunk conversation to each other). In addition to this, the elevator door makes a ding sound every time the door opens. And every time that happened, me and my husband woke up. Even with ear plugs provided by the hotel, I could still hear the ding every single time. What this means: the hotel room walls are not well-insulated. I've stayed in a lot of hotels - even a hotel with a bunch of ComicCon teenagers - and didn't hear a peep. My suggestion: if you are a light sleeper, get some medical grade earplugs for this place. It's loud!

Hotel was a wonderful surprise. Not realizing it was a wellness hotel. We are very much into wellness. So to our surprise when we open the door and so are all the exercise equipment we were delighted. The bedding, The shower gels, the lighting were fabulous. We did eat breakfast at the Cork and kale. It was delicious but a little on the pricey side. I would highly recommend this hotel. . I hope they will be opening more of this type of hotel around the world.
