The Hampton In Nashville/Vanderbilt is in the perfect location. We could easily walk to The Row; Winners, Losers (on Division St.); and Hattie B's. There is a shuttle that will take you to "downtown" Nashville or any other place within a 2 mile radius that runs all day, every day until 11p. (All the great bars on Broadway are 1.3 miles from the hotel.) This beats paying over $35 for parking for 4 or more hours. The breakfast buffet is typical of a hot buffet. Area was very clean and kept well stocked during breakfast hours. The queen bed was a little uncomfortable but that may be because we are used to a king. The room was very dark...could have used more overhead lights or brighter bulbs in the lamps. There is a refrigerator which was nice and plently of storage for folded and hanging clothing. Free parking at the hotel was definitely a plus!

breakfast was good, was all so close to bars and food.

That it is close to the strip where all the bars are at thankssssssssss $sssssssssssssssssssssssssss

The location was great. The courtesy shuttle was very helpful

Location, I thought it was closer than it was to downtown; that said the shuttle service was excellent.

Overall, we had a nice stay at this hotel. Positives: - It was within walking distance of Vanderbilt, Centennial Park, and was next door to the cathedral. - The free coffee in the lobby was also great! - Overall, it was clean and the beds were quite comfy. Negatives: - One of the male managers working at the front check in desk was quite unfriendly to us, one other guest, and to his fellow coworkers. The other two female front desk workers were very warm and pleasant. - The noise coming from the cleaning staff was very loud in the morning. Lots of banging doors.

Enjoyed the free shuttle; best part of staying here. Breakfast was adequate

Great staff & location. Little work to find breakfast Tommy, but worth the effort

Main elevators door panel had a shake that seemed to be ready to come off

Would have been nice to have a microwave. Otherwise, nice hotel and good location.

Complimentary internet service is terrible. Almost unusable!!

nice hotel, walking distance to Vanderbilt, restaurants, Centennial Park

Very friendly staff. Complimentary breakfast was an added bonus.

I had a great time. Great room. Great service. I was there for only a few days, but I had not problems while I was there.

Comfortable, clean. Staff was great, especially the shuttle drivers.

When we arrived it seemed as if the staff was going to be friendly. The hotel itself is fine nothing amazing. They seem very proud of themselves at $214/ night. We picked a room with easiest access to unload car. That was fine until the door did not work and we had to go up and across the hotel. The staff down at the breakfast area were rude. Only time smiles were on their faces were Sat. When it was announced it was someone’s birthday. Sounded as if they were having a blast behind the service door. Also, when I was carefully trying to get to elevator and had to step on floor woman was mopping, she blessed me with a heavy sigh and eye roll. That was the only way for me to get to elevator. That was the day that a call was made to the front about the horrible banging noice. The response was incredulous as if this was being made up. The manager did come down and then apologized as yes, there is a noice. It was the handy man fixing a soap dish in the room next door. Finally, Sunday, at 10 am on the dot, coffee cup in hand, reaching to fill said up, the pot was almost pulled away. When asked if I could get the coffee there was a heavy sigh and ,” you need to hurry up. I’m fitten (not sure on spelling of this word) to take it upstairs”. The conversation that followed was just as illuminating.

My girlfriend and I did a girls trip to Nashville and stayed here. We were so impressed by how welcoming everyone was from the minute we stepped in the front door. We got there way before check in and they held our luggage and since it before breakfast was over they welcomed us to eat. The rooms were clean and the stuff was pleasant. The ladies that served the breakfast were so sweet and helped letting us know where to go in our adventures. Everyone made our first visit to Nashville a great experience that I would definitely return and recommend.

One of our better stays in recent past. Good free breakfast, comfy bed, extra pillows, fridge, easy free parking. Free shuttle to nearby sites (other than Sunday =only major complaint: should run later and on Sunday). Staff helpful. Good location, far enough from noisy tourist area, close enough for 1.3 Mile walk or quick shuttle ride downtown, and near several restaurants. Only other issue: replace the cheep, hard to use toilet paper holders.
