Big thanks to Matthew Hulsey at the Front Desk for arranging a nice surprise for my friends. He was knowledgeable, accommodating, and supremely hospitable! It always starts from the top, so hotel management must be on point.
Modern well designed hotel reminiscent of the Marriott Marquis in NYC with its huge central ceiling with glass elevators traveling up it. Excellent valet parking. Room was modern with excellent king mattress. Huge, long bar in lobby with billiards table & lounge. Concierge is only on duty 10-6 so get your questions in then. My only wish was that it was a few blocks closer to Broadway.
We visited Nashville for a business meeting Sunday-Tuesday in March. Our room was clean and well appointed. Overall a very nice room, comfortable bed and nice pillows. The staff were pleasant, and service was solid - it never was great, but was good. For our business meeting, the elevators would get backed up during breaks and lunches, often taking 20 minutes to get one - I think this was due to one of them being out of service. The interior decor was interesting but not particularly appealing (my opinion). Overall it felt a bit like a bland chain hotel - good but nothing to remember.
This may not be the newest hotel in Nashville, however, this Sheraton has the most efficient and friendliest staff you'll find. The cleanliness of the hotel outstanding. I will definitely stay there every time I go to Nashville Congratulations!
We visited Nashville the weekend of the April 8 (very long weekend) and we were celebrating my birthday and our belated Anniversary. The person who checked us in was absolutely careless and on the verge of being rude. We looked around and saw her colleagues who were very polite and nice to guests. She didn't register our car for the valet parking and didn't get my SPG points although I provided the information. She was just ready to get rid of us. This created an issue for us the day after when we needed our car. We had to wait 55 minutes for the valet to bring the car because they could not find it in the system. To add insult to injury, we had the same person for the check-out!!! Same attitude and same behavior. She even made a mistake on the invoice. Do you think she apologized when I pointed it out? I heard a lot about the southern hospitality; however, this experience had me thinking. Hope this is an isolated event.
I just checked out of the Sheraton Grand in Downtown Nashville. The hotel interior is beautiful. This was a business trip that fell on my birthday. In my room, hotel management had set up a bottle of wine and beautiful desert just waiting for my arrival. I felt very special. Thank you Dan, hotel manager and staff for making my experience a 10 (excellent). Thank you Melvin in the Club Lounge for assisting me with a container to place my beautiful desert so that I could carry it home. The hotel location, the customer experience, excellent. As a platinum elite with Ambassador status, it doesn't get better than this. B. Jackson
Stayed here for 3 nights in April with my wife and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is excellent. Very impressive lobby. Only a short walk (5 minutes) to Broadway which is a crazy street at the weekend! Not far from the main attractions such as Country Music Hall of Fame, Johnny Cash Museuem and the Ryman auditorium. Would recommend visits to all of them as they are all really interesting and great to walk round. The rooms in the hotel are bright, spacious and elegantly decorated. Parking was pricey but worth it to be in such a great location. We loved Nashville.
Celebrated a bachelorette here for 4 days with six girls. The hotel lobby will take your breath away. The rooms were just prefect, spacious and very clean. We had adjoining rooms, which was amazing for all of us to spend time together leaving the doors open. The location is right where you want to be!
You can't help but stare when you walk into the lobby of the Sheraton Grand in Downtown Nashville. The elevators and the lighting are ultra modern and a wonder. Check-in was fast and efficient - we were able to check-in early, which rarely happens even when requested. Because we were on a club-level, we had access to the 24-hour lounge which provides a hot breakfast in the mornings, hors d'oeuvres in the evenings, and beverages and light snacks 24 hours a day. Well worth the additional cost - the food was good! The room was large and well-equipped. In keeping with the current trends, the linens were all white cotton and very clean. The free wi-fi worked great, well enough to stream movies, which is not always the case with free wi-fi. The location is an easy walk to Broadway, and a longer walk to the Gulch - but still do-able in nicer weather. Despite its centralized location, the block the hotel is located on was quiet and removed, so you're sure to have a good night's sleep. The elevators were a constant source of fascination for every guests we encountered. They are glass and run up the outside of the wall, so from the lobby it appears as though it's some sort of futuristic space pod shooting up into the sky. It never failed to amuse us every time we took a ride. Those with a fear of heights should keep their eyes closed! Given the location, amenities, service, and price, I would highly recommend the Sheraton Grand for any Nashville visit.
Stayed in Nashville at the Sheraton. It was right in the middle of all bars and restaurants that were on our hit list. Huge hotel and staff was great. The Palm restaurant is right there as well. Overall a comfortable stay
