Not impressed at all.Next time, i will book somewhere else.
The parking garage is absolutely horrible. I drive a Ford Edge and when to the back to open it the top hit the concrete of the garage roof. Fortunately, my rear windshield wiper stuck out a bit further and prevented any damage. The hotel is attached to an indoor food court. This was absolutely wonderful. There is also a grocery store inside the food court
Staff was friendly Room was comfortable Funny noise — elevator?
The location is good as it's near enough to walk to Old Montreal, several restaurants and close to the Metro. In the courtyard across the street was Jardins Gamelin for the summer with food, drinks and different events going on every day. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and we had a nice view. However, the rooms were very rundown. For the price we paid for our stay, $530 USD for 4 nights, we expected the rooms to be much nicer. There was clearly visible wear on all the room's furniture, the bathroom, and places where the wallpaper was peeling. The lamps looked like they were from the 1980's. There were very few outlets in the room, and the outlets themselves were all loose and pulling out of the walls a bit. The lamp on one of the bedside tables wasn't even plugged in and we couldn't even find an outlet close enough to plug it in. The staff was nice upon check in and check out. I was extremely disappointed though when we asked for assistance with mailing some post cards. They do not have postage available for purchase and were not even sure where to direct us to get some, or willing to put our cards in their outgoing mail once we found postage at a nearby pharmacy. They couldn't even tell us where the nearest post office is. I really expect those working in a hotel to at least be familiar with the area. We did not eat in the restaurant on sight as we felt it was pricey for what it is. You're better off picking something up in the grocery store on sight.
I liked that the property was close to the metro and the many sites I wanted to see and visit.
Convenient location. Next to underground subway system.
Very good location, close to subway station. The property itself and the room furnishing are very old. Desperately need renovation.
First, the room was appropriately clean. That said, it was very old and shabby (visible stains on carpet, tub was discolored). The biggest down was that despite leaving the room by 9AM and not coming back until after 6PM they never cleaned the room, the beds were unmade and the bathroom wasnt done. Also the elevator was out the whole morning we left and we had to carry our bags downstairs. They were clearly understaffed. There was always a line at the desk, there was no concierge and I tried calling reception from the room and was put on hold for over 5 minutes. The gym was threadbare. The lock didn’t work w the room keys and you had to call to be allowed in. They had a TV but didn’t leave the remote so you couldn’t control the volume or change the station. There was a water cooler but it didn’t work one of the days. The neighborhood was convenient and centrally located but seedy. I am from NYC and hardly squeamish but the hotel is directly across the street from a park where there were a lot of homeless and St Catherine’s which is closed for traffic was also full of homeless people.
location was good but the property needs updates. Room was in need of repairs. Sink was chipped, shades on windows had holes, carpet had stains and a hair was found in sink.
Location was good, but the bathroom had mold growing all over the ceiling. Bathroom needs a serious update.
Good location- close to restaurants and cultural activities.
Overall good location. Good for the price, but it was dated. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would stay here again, but it needs some renovation.
Excessive noise in the hallways at all hours of the night. Drunk, rowdy guests
