It's near the metro and next to the pedestrian street St. Catherine. There were also free concerts in the park in front of the hotel. Unfortunately, like in many big cities, there were a lot of homeless people wandering around.

Reserved connecting rooms and arrived late at night with my children and were disappointed that the rooms were not reserved. Front desk staff were not helpful and dismissive. Fridge was leaking (fridge was replaced but still faulty) and AC was faulty. We had to insist to change rooms the next day. Breakfast was very basic compared to other hotels we stayed in. Recommend that microwaves should be put on specific floors rather than at the lobby. I thought this was ridiculous and tacky for such a so called high end hotel. Honestly, I'd never stay in this hotel again.

The central air was definitely broken. Ths room was very humid, smelled a bit of cigarettes despite being smoke free and the air conditioner didn’t really get cool. The surrounding area wasn’t great. Would not stay here again unfortunately.

From check in to check out, the staff was not friendly or accommodating the room smelled like cigarette I ask if we could be move to another room I was told the there were rooms available. The price I paid I was expecting exceptional service and an excellent room well that was not the case. I definitely won’t be back to this location. Some advice teach your team to treat guess the way they would want to be treated no matter there race, I did not feel welcome at all I came all the way from Toronto trying to support our people I guess the don’t need my support.

Had a great stay at Hyatt Place Montreal Downtown. The room was clean, modern and the bed was comfortable. The gym was adequate and the indoor pool was a nice feature. The breakfast in the morning was pretty average, wish there was a bit more variety or a cook-to-order egg station, but the price was very reasonable compared to breakfast buffets of other hotels. Perhaps that was to compensate for the lack of a large variety or the egg station. All in all, I'll be back to Hyatt Place again next year when I visit Montreal again.

Location was good, but our room was dirty especially the bathroom. We were very disappointed from this aspect. The hotel is located across from a park where a lot of homeless reside and drug use is in constant view. Not really the experience you want with children. We would not stay here again or recommend.
