This hotel is conveniently located just outside The Village. The staff were fantastic! The only thing I didn't like was the shower. Besides being very small, with no place to put your shampoo and soap, the water temperature fluctuated from super hot to super cold. If they could fix this, I'd have no complaints.

This is a quaint hotel a couple of blocks away from the metro. It's very clean and the breakfast was good and the staff at the restaurant was friendly. The fact that it's centrally located made it easy to get to all major attractions.

Great location, comfortable cozy. The rooms are small and the walls thin, but the staff and cleanlines more than made up for the mild inconveniences. Thank you.

The room was clean and though small, it was perfect for sleeping and showering as most of my time was spent out and about Montreal. I would recommend this hotel, and I would stay here again.

All of the staff members I met were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has wonderful character, both outside and in. I particularly enjoyed the balcony attached to my room! The room itself was a bit small by American standards, but had plenty of room for me. Most importantly, it was clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is only three blocks from a Metro station, making it a perfect base for exploring the city. The only potential drawback is that it is accessed by a rather steep staircase out front. Not a problem for me, but it might be an issue for older guests or those with limited mobility.

Even in good location, this is a very old hotel, the included breakfast is not good. the parking does not exist. Noisily and uncomfortable room.

The hotel was a pretty good last resort. I was disappointed with the heating of the place and there could've been more amenities and updated electronics. The T.V. was really old.

Enjoyed staying close to downtown, all walking distance, would stay there again.

The annex room we were put in had paper thin walls, doors slammed all night, there was no air conditioning-guests smoked in the courtyard so open windows was not an option. No drinking glasses, ice, or shampoo. The TV was small and had a terrible picture, no phone and no chance of me ever returning especially for 250.00 US dollars a night!

My friend and I reserved the Executive Suite. The Executive Suite has two rooms; a common room with a kitchenette and a bed room with the bathroom attached. Unbeknown to us when we reserved the room, the common room has a fold down bed. This room scenario made it easy for both our dogs to have their own space. However, it is important that I note that both our dogs are well trained. The staff was extremely accommodating. And the cleaning staff did a great job of keeping the room kept in order. The hotel structure itself is from a time past and has little to no sound insulation between rooms. The floors are hard wood and there isn't anything on the walls to absorb sound. Fortunately we didn't have any issues, but you may run into noisy neighboring travelers. I can imagine that some people may have trouble with the beds. These beds are very firm. It wasn't much better than it would be to sleep on a carpeted floor.

If all you need is a place to be.This is the place. I must admit it has a great location if your a walker. However, if you don't walk,or are unable to, it's a lot hilly.I would go back again .It was a quick getaway.

The exterior and decor of the building is simply beautiful. This is an old building with a lot of character. However, the budget rooms are very small, simple, and plain. Don't stay here if you are planning to spend alot of time in the room, this will be very cramped and uncomfortable. Do stay here if you are just looking for a place to sleep at the end of your day of travels. If you intend to watch tv, it is very small and English only speakers be forewarned that there are only a handful of non-French channels available. Also, be warned that the complimentary breakfast is a croissant or muffin, a small scoop of fruit, and coffee or tea. If you are planning to get a hearty breakfast, you will need to do so elsewhere. Also, the off street parking is limited to ONLY 5 spots and is on a first come first serve basis (and is NOT free). If you are not lucky enough to get one, you will need to find a nearby garage as the street parking is alternating and can only be paid for in 2 hour increments. That being said, if you are traveling on a budget, this is a decent place to stay so that you can see the absolutely beautiful city of Montreal. Both the museum/shopping district on Sherbrooke and Old Montreal are about a half hour walk away, plus there are many forms of public transit available.

This hotel is located well within walking distance of tons of wonderful bars and restaurants, as well as the metro. It's price was quite reasonable, and the room was adequate. We got a full size bed instead of a double to save money, but it was still fine to sleep on. The room was tiny, but it's so close to everything, why would you want to stay in your hotel room!? The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

While the location was very good and the staff were helpful, the room accommodations were like staying at a youth hostel with your own bathroom. The air conditioner was loud and not effective, the room was tiny, the bed was rather uncomfortable. I did like the breakfast next door, but be sure to ask the front desk for your tickets before you go over there. Although the price is good, be aware of the kind of place you'll be staying at.

The Hotel de PARIS WAS A GOOD DEAL FOR THE MONEY. vERY CLEAN WITH A GOOD LOCATION AND A FRESH CROISSANT WITH A GOOD CUP OF COFFEE FOR BREAKFAST. THE ROOM IS SMALL , GOOD FOR ONE PERSON OR WITH A SPOUSE. MANY GOOD RESTAURANTS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE.

Overall a fine, economical place to stay. It is within walkable distances to many nice restaurants and shops. Getting to downtown is a bit farther.
