The room was surprisingly spacious and clean, far more than I imagined from the entrance. The separate bathtub and shower stall made for a relaxing experience. There are restaurants nearby, but you'll need to walk a bit to reach them.

We choose this property primarily as our family lived within walking distance. An elevator would have been beneficial as the stairs were steep and could have been too much of a challenge for some. It’s a very busy area overall.

Tranquility and Friendly Service

My partner and I had a lovely albeit short stay at this beautiful property. Our overall vacation included Montreal and Quebec City, but truth be told this was my favorite part of the entire trip. Just being out in nature where everything felt so peaceful and serene and the stars at night were so visible--perfection. We stayed in one of the condos overlooking Lac Bienvenue, and we both heard and saw loons out on the lake both days--so cool! We also enjoyed seeing and hearing other birds around the lake including a downy woodpecker, great blue heron, song sparrow, and many blue jays of course. On land, we were delighted by the adorable groundhogs chilling in the lawn and got pretty close to them for photos. We appreciated the variety of available activities, and took full advantage of the pool/sauna/steam room/hot tub in the aquatic center. We also rented a pedal boat and took it out on Lac Eau Claire for about an hour. We weren't staying long enough to do the special of any 4 activities for $30 per person, but $15 was a great price for the pedal boat in our opinion. They provided towels and life jackets for this activity. You can also rent canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, and motorboats. We got dinner two nights at the lodge, and enjoyed the delicious vegetarian chili. I will note that for vegetarians there aren't many entree options but we were ok with that as we brought our own food too. Lovely, friendly service all around and very nice accommodations. A++++++

I chose to stay here based on all the wonderful reviews and it exceeded my expectations. The property is immaculate and my room on the second floor had contemporary furnishings, hardwood floors and a window with a view to the park across the street. Queen size bed was quite comfortable, bathrobes provided, a small refrigerator and coffee pot. Location was important to me as I did not want to stay where tourists stay, but rather in a vibrant diverse neighborhood. The Plateau was just that, and was the perfect base for my explorations. I stayed mostly on foot but between Uber, Metro and Bixi it’s easy to get around. Some reviews complained about the lack of an elevator but at 73 I had no problem sprinting up to the second or third floors. I travel light, so if you like to bring big giant trunks of clothes it may be difficult without muscles and youth.

Great place, great location, great staff. My only criticism is that the AC is not controllable in the room - on the 3rd floor in the summer it was warm at night, and cooled off by morning. It would be nice to keep the room cooler at night - there’s certainly no need for the thick duvet.

Older building and room but everything else was great. Many local places to eat, for shopping, and across the street from a park. I'd recommend if you are not one looking for pampering in your hotel. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious.
