This is a very pleasant place to stay, near the main shopping district near the McGill metro stop. The rooms have high ceilings and big columns. I particularly enjoyed the kitchen facilities including a full-sized refrigerator, and the ability to smoke a cigar on their rooftop terrace.

Beautiful hotel, right on St. Catherine, nice breakfast o

The hotel is excellent. The staff is very helpful and courteous. My wife and I went to the Bell Centre to see a hockey game. The Bell Centre is about a 15 minute walk. I highly recommend this hotel!

Absolutely 5 star Hotel!!! Love it. Very friendy staff.

Excellent staff, great location downtown. Breakfast is basically a continental breakfast.

Enjoyed our stay at Le Square Phillips. The room was large and very quiet and the staff was friendly. The bus from the airport dropped us off just 1 1/2 blocks away. Most sights were within walking distance. The continental breakfast was the same limited items everyday, but adequate.

Clean modern room, walking distance in the city. Bed was a little hard but otherwise a quiet comfortable stay with great staff.

I think three stars for this hotel are not enough, it should be four. We stayed here for three nights recently after completing a cruise. Debarkation from our ship was early in the morning and we took a taxi to the hotel, which wasn't far. We left our luggage in the hotel's luggage room and met Concierge Marc in the lobby to ask questions and directions. He was extremely helpful by writing and circling locations on our map. This hotel is close enough for walking to Old Town, which we did and enjoyed the vibe of several streets closed to vehicles with many restaurant patios and shops, and seeing the beautiful architecture. We also toured the Basilica that day on our walk, a must see in Montreal. There are many restaurants around the hotel, too, including Trattoria Zia's next door which was very good, although service was slow. We were guided by the concierge's desk the next morning to the start of the Hop On Hop Off bus tour, a 10 minute walk. The hotel is also about a 10 minute walk to the subway/train station where we took the train to the Montreal Botanical Gardens. The day pass for the train also included bus fare for the express bus to the airport later that day and the bus stop was one half block from the hotel.

Location of the hotel is excellent and we only need to drive our car one day while we walk around the area on the 2nd day. Parking is $25/day and its in & out as well but you have to valet parking.

Great hotel, central location, within walking distance to everything downtown Montreal has to offer. Rooftop pool was great for doing laps. Continental breakfast was fine. Breads, muffins, waffles, cereals, hardboiled eggs, yogurts, juices, and coffee. Hotel staff was super friendly. My French is embarrassingly rusty, but turned out not to be a problem. The whole city was friendly, inviting, gracious hosts. Really was a good trip.

Close to shopping, restaurants, old Montreal, McGill University.

Love this hotel which is why I keep returning Convenient to shopping & Old Montreal Clean, friendly, pool & fitness center It deserves my 5 stars!!

Location was the best. Everything was walkable. I would definitely stay here again.

What more can you ask for Great location, Full Kitchen Free continental breakfast and reasonably priced !!!!

I booked a studio suite and it was huge. Nice facility. The only negatives were swimming pool and breakfast. Pool is small and no jacuzzi. Breakfast had no scrambled eggs or omelette. Lot of muffins, crossaints and bread.

I had a great time. I will recommend this place to all my friends and family.

We had a great experience at this hotel during our first trip to Montreal. We traveled with 2 small children and stayed in a family room which was huge and consisted of a traditional bedroom with king bed, a full kitchen with a table, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and stove/ oven and pots/ pans, dishes, etc, a large bathroom, a sitting area, and an "alcove" with a double bed. Thoughtful touches included a rubber shoe/boot tray and 3 closets. Also there was an in room safe which I thought was standard but was not in other hotels I looked at. The location could not be beat as it was central both to the trendy downtown area full of shopping and restaurants as well as to old Montreal and the port. We walked everywhere with the stroller and had no issues. Also close by were a pharmacy and supermarket (IGA) as well as wine store and a gourmet grocery Although the breakfast was mostly pastries/ cereals as others mentioned, there was fresh fruit, milk, coffee, and hard boiled eggs which was plenty considering many hotels do not offer any included breakfast. The exercise room was clean and sufficient and the pool was nice and clean. The rooftop was beautiful. The concierge and valet/ bellhop were all so friendly and made great suggestions. All in all, we loved our stay and would stay again if we return to Montreal

The hotel is clean, staff is friendly & helpful, needs more variety for breakfast, but it was adequate, I will definitely stay again, and recommend to others.

Beautiful room, right in the heart of downtown. Could not have asked for a better stay.
