Historic building in a great location in Old Montreal. Charm plus modern amenities.

Excellent location. Delightful, boutique hotel. Staff was superb, would return in a heart beat.

We were only for a short stay. The room had a nice view on the St-Laurent river. Located in the hearth of the Old Montreal, the hotel has lots of charm. From there, you can easily go to nice restaurants, museums, or walk to down town to do some shopping.

great location. breakfast not included when reserving through orbitz

My check in was a little rough. I called ahead to let them know I would be in around 1-2am and they stated that would be fine and that they would have someone watching for me. When I arrived the front doors were locked and no one was sitting at the front desk, 30 minutes of knocking later I realized there was a doorbell on the very front of the building. It would have been nice to at least know about the doorbell and/or have someone at the front desk that could see me. The staff member working that night did not seem happy about my late arrival either. Beyond the first night the hotel was beautiful and staff very helpful. It is centrally located in old Montreal and easy to access on the front or back side of the hotel. Wifi is horrendously slow and this apparently cannot be helped. Elevator is also ancient so I highly recommend being comfortable taking the stairs.

Awesome roofdeck bar. Rooms had hardwood floors and brick walls. Great location in old Montreal.

Beautiful room overlooking river. Was able to sleep with windows open. Great location. Charming!

This historic hotel is right on the river on one side and Rue St Paul on the other with everything in walking distance. We valeted the car when we arrived and didn't get it out in the 3 days we were at this hotel. The hotel is well equiped and even had a well stocked mini bar in the room. There is very chic roof bar too for cocktails. You probably wont spend too much time in the hotel because there is so much to do nearby.

Comfortable bed soft sheets great staff. Made brunch reservations and suggested things to do when we got there

This hotel was beautiful and the room was perfection. Comfortable bed, gorgeous wood and brick detailing, and a beautiful bathroom. We had a shower and giant jetted tub and both were spacious and lovely. Very romantic as a couple's getaway. The hotel staff was also wonderful and accommodating. Overall a lovely stay, a beautiful hotel in a beautiful city.

The hotel and our room were beautiful. Very comfortable, friendly and knowledgeable staff, great service. Tavern attached was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back.

Friendly and attentive staff! Very clean room as well!

Only stayed one night because we were travelling. Really enjoyed the rooftop terrace - beautiful view. Also, breakfast was excellent!! Very convenient to walking around Old Montreal and the waterfront area.

Comfortable and quaint hotel with old European looking charm in the heart of old city. I love the hard wood floors and brick walls.

We were very happy with our stay here. I was worried it would be noisy but we stayed on the St. Paul side and it was perfectly quiet in the room. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was nice to have a room with exposed brick and a hotel that wasn't a cookie cutter like the big chains. The breakfast was good although sometimes took a long time.

We were here for a couple of days - had dinner and breakfast at Gaston's both were very good, room very nice and easy walk to museums, quai's or metro.

Beautiful hotel and great location. The staff was also extremely helpful, I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Bonjour Dear Guest, We appreciate you sharing your comments on here and thank you once again for staying at the Auberge. You can always enjoy the " a la carte" breakfast that's served every morning and charge it to your room. We do get a lot of great feedback about it and hope that you'll be back very soon to try it.

Bonjour S, Truly, we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience on here. I do would like to apologize on behalf of the night employee and would like to reassure you that it's never the intention to make a Guest feel that we're not happy to see them. As for the elevator, because of the age of the building that's from the 1800's we're a little limited on the size of the motor to make it go faster. We stay hopeful that you'll be back to stay with us, I insist on you contacting me directly so we can look into making sure on some things to make you always have an excellent memory of the Auberge du Vieux Port.
