The room was clean. We had a problem with the front desk staff and manager. They gave us a hard time because my Expedia confirmation had my married last name but the ID I have has my maiden name. Every other ID has my married last name. Apparently Montreal states that both need to match. That’s fine, but if I provide a confirmation number and I show you my Visa with the matching last name and they have taken my money in advance, why are you not allowing me to check in. Then you don’t provide a solution until I ask you what can I do. It was an aggravating situation at 10:30 at night after travelling for 7 hours by car.

Only one complaint but it's a big one and I want to warn others because this is a notorious problem that hotels need to stop doing. Reserved a room with two "queen" beds, officially sleeps 4. They were not queen beds. They were full sized. There were three of us and I cannot share a full sized bed. It took a bit of haggling before they switched us to a king with a sofabed without me having to go through Expedia because I "booked with a third party" or them charging me extra, but they ultimately made the switch for me. The rest of the stay was lovely- room was very nice and spacious. Location was optimal (we walked to old Montreal every day, sometimes more than once), indoor rooftop pool and hot tub were a wonderful bonus and open 7-11. Would stay again.

The staff were unprofessional. When we were told our Expedia information did not match our driver license, they didn’t provide a solution until I asked what we were to do since it was 10:30pm and Expedia offices are closed. It wasn’t busy at all. The rooms were basic. Clean. No city view as was stated on my Expedia booking.

Overall our stay was very good. However, as we have seen in other hotels at times, it seemed as though perhaps the carpets in the rooms hadn't been vacuumed. On the carpet in front of the chair in the corner of the room, we saw skin that had been peeled off someone's foot.

The location was great for both sight seeing old Montreal and shopping plus dining and entertainment. The staff at front desk and housekeeping are very helpful. The only issue is that the hotel seems to supply 3 sets of towels when 4 guests are registered at check-in? I have to call front desk to send extra towels which arrived quickly. Also the sink was very slow draining. Shower gel ran out during the middle of our stay. When we requested housekeeping, just 3 sets of towel are provided (again not 4 sets based on number of guests who checked in) and shower gel not refilled. So no shower gel was provided and we have to use shampoo in place of shower gel.😪 Otherwise, our stay at this hotel was good.

Must steam room

My only complaint is the steam room in women’s washroom smells musty and does not work properly. Other than that would stay here again!
