Everything was excellent. Great location. ........................................................................................

We stayed in 2 queen bedroom with living room, dining and small kitchen. Our toddler loves walking inside the spacious room. The room attendant did a good job cleaning the room. Staff are helpful. Location is excellent! Only downside is the parking is expensive, but I guess hotels in the area have expensive parking fees.

Upon arrival we were given an upgrade from a studio to an executive suite but the beds were downsized from our requested queens to double beds which led to a poor night sleep. The second night we changed back to a studio with queens but were moved to a floor full of rowdy college students that kept us up most of the night. The hotel sent security at least twice but could not control the situation. They hotel offered to switch us again so we moved to an executive suite with a king bed. Very nice room. However, in the morning we discovered the shower head sprayed all over the bathroom, soaking the floor and most everything in the room. The hotel was very accommodating in changing our rooms, however, in the spirit of good customer service, I would have liked more than apologies. A small token of something like a free breakfast would have been appreciated. I recommend NOT booking non-refundable rooms through Orbitz and pay attention to extra charges for additional guests. If you run into trouble it's not worth the little money you save. This hotel was a stickler when it came to the non-refundable policy. We brought our son to college where he would stay with us 2 of the 3 nights booked. Orbitz doesn't provide an option for selecting the # of nights for your additional guest. To get a refund the hotel sent us back to Orbitz which took two attempts before finally allowing a refund after they got approval from the hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded. The room was large and spotless, beds were very comfortable and although we didn't do any cooking, it was nice to have a fully stocked kitchen. Everyone we met was professional and helpful. We will definitely stay at The Hotel Cantlie the next time we visit Montreal. Merci!

Overall, the hotel was very nice. We just got unlucky because they were doing construction on the hotel every day from 8am to 7pm. The lobby/restaurant was beautiful. The room was very spacious. However, the pull out bed in the living room area reeked of urine. Other than the horrendous smelling pull out bed, the rest of the room was great.

Really disappointed with my experience here. I came up to Montreal for a get away with my boyfriend and it was such a trying experience. The room they gave us was a disaster. The bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke, the bathtub didn't drain, the knobs were coming off and was fairly in poor condition (mildew etc). Then the bed was so lumpy that I had to sleep in the middle of the bed. It seemed as if the bed had been slept in for years, but were informed they were new. The front desk staff on duty was very nice and accommodating and immediately changed our room and gave us an upgrade. The room seemed great. But the bathroom vanity wasn't that clean, and the shower went from freezing to burning in a split second. The people next to us were constantly noisy, through the night during the week and there were young guys slamming doors and screaming at night while walking through the halls in their underwear, no shirts, pants or shoes. I tried to talk to the front desk about it but everything continued to persist. It was difficult to sleep. Just a weird crowd with thin walls that made the evenings less than relaxing. Upon leaving, I was asked how my stay was and was literally shrugged off when I expressed my disappointment. If they didn't want to know my thoughts, then the question shouldn't have been asked. The one bright spot was the valet and bellhop service. Those guys are great and are really friendly and wonderful to work with.

The hotels location was perfect, within walking distance of old Montreal, Mount Royal and the underground city. It's also within 2 blocks of the metro, which you can take to the biodome and Olympic stadium. There is also a plethora of great resturants close by. My only compliants are the shower and the breakfast buffet. The shower is a small trickle of a stream, forget trying to wash shampoo out of your hair with that. Now the breakfast buffet, it was not included in the price of your room and was rather expensive $18 per person, for low quality food. We got there early about 8am, and there was no food left. It took 30 mins to just get some eggs and once got the food, it was unimpressive. You can easily walk to A nearby restaurant and get better food for cheaper. The funny thing was that this only happened with breakfast, we ate dinner at the hotel resturant and were happy with the price and quality of food.

This hotel is located in downtown Montreal and is in walking distance to a number of shops, bars and restaurants. The staff was friendly and the space was well maintained. I would stay again.

This was our second stay with the kids. We love the roof-top pool and on-site parking.

Great location, clean hotel, great food nearby. Enjoyed it very much. Rooftop pool was a nice addon and had a great time in it in early August.

Great staff, very friendly. Within walking distance to all the great shopping and restaurants.

This is a great location as it is near great shopping, Mount Royal, and the Peel St. Metro. We had our car valeted when we arrived, and we didn't use it again until we left Montreal. The front desk staff was very helpful with touristy questions we had, and the beds were comfy. We enjoyed the rooftop with the pool and great views of the city. We had the buffet breakfast there once, and it was good, but I recommend the Universal Cafe across the street on Peel for mega choices and portions. My only complaints are that the gym could use some more working cardio equipment. With only one working treadmill, it was hard to get on. Also, when you have 4 to a room, you should get 4 washclothes, and we only got 2 every day. Those complaints aside, I would stay here again.

A group of us stayed one night as a birthday get-a-way. Room was very comfortable and location close yo shops, bars and restaurants, Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

Short stay but felt at home. will go back as often as I need to.

Comfortable experience, no issues at all. Would recommend.

I have stayed at Le Cantlie many times and always think that it is good. It is not exactly luxurious, but it is very nice and it is close to downtown. The staff us also very friendly.

Great stay as always. I have stayed here often over the years and am always pleased by the room and staff. It is also a great location.

Great location and views, good food and friendly staff. Suitable for business and family travellers

It was a short but enjoyable stay, as always at Le Cantlie Suites. I use this hotel always in Montreal. The kitchen is what makes this hotel quite different and better than others.
