I stayed here as a park and fly package. The hotel is dark and in disrepair, and the neighbourhood is intimidating. They made us sign an additional waiver that stated we knew Montreal Police had identified this area as a high car theft / car crime area. Happily, our car was still there, untouched when we returned but the return shuttle took over an hour and 4 phone calls before it arrived. The hotel is only 5 minutes away. the front desk and the driver each gave me 2 apologetic stories for the delay, blaming each other, all of which were contradicting and full of holes.

I have stayed at this Choice Hotel on several occasions. Mainly I parked my car to fly out of Montreal. This last time June 2017 as usual, made reservations Park and Fly. When I got to the hotel, they told me that many vehicle have been broken into and things stolen. Strongly suggested indoor parking at an additional fee of $80 dollars for the week. In the past I never had a problem, even the Manager a Moraccan gentlemen said the same as the desk clerk...robberies - car break ins etc.This along with having to walk a very very long corridor to my room was not a pleasant stay.

This seems to be the place for people who have been bumped or dumped by their airline or locals who choose the "stay and park" option. For us, our flight out of Montreal was cancelled and with few other rooms available, this is what was "found" for us. We were lucky to get a voucher for the flight cancellation, as it was due to bad weather and not mechanical. We didn't get meal vouchers, but that was okay. We crammed into a van from the airport and arrived at this hotel about 8:00 p.m. The front desk was a bit overwhelmed with the flood of new arrivals. We got our room card and stepped into a very, very small elevator and ,upon reaching our floor, exited to journey down a very narrow and somewhat unsettling hallway. If someone was exiting their room they would almost certainly "crashed" into the person walking in front of their door; that's a bit creepy. The air in the room was still and had a musty scent. We immediately went for the air conditioner and realized that this monster of a machine would be churning all night with drapes flapping over the outtake vents. The wakeup call didn't arrive as asked; that's why I always travel with my own clock and use the front desk as my backup. In this instance, my clock was the primary and backup! However, staff was friendly and courteous! We had dinner in the restaurant. No air conditioning, only a fan to circulate the air. It was hot and sticky and several of the patrons were wiping away sweat. Almost anything can taste good when you haven't eaten in nearly 10 hours, so I'll have to admit that the food was better than the room. The server was kind, very thoughtful and understood our inconvenience; she got a good tip! Shuttle service in the morning, very early - 4:30 a.m. - worked! Just as we were crammed arriving the night before, the sardines all jammed back into the can for a return trip to the Montreal airport. The only people who should be paying to stay are those who have have chosen to stay overnight and take advantage of the longterm parking, or the airline that ponies up a voucher.

First off, the hotel looks like it's falling apart from the outside parking lot. It needs a paint job and repairs to the balconies which are crumbling. Inside, you would not notice it. Nice interior. Check in was swift and efficient thanks to Carla. Upon entering the room, it was not what we requested. We called reception and it was fixed up right away. Thanks Carla. The room was very large with an empty spot in the middle of the room. Was it missing something? Not a problem. Clean, comfortable, quiet except for ourselves. So far so good. Went to sleep. With a do not disturb sign on my door, housekeeping walks in. I guess they can't read. realizing that I am "sleeping" they leave. Hours later, they walk in again, asking me when I am checking out. I am TRYING to sleep with DO NOT DISTURB on my door and they are asking me a question? Come on. The breakfast buffet is as simple as they come and the waitresses look unhappy. Aside from the stellar service from Carla, I would give this a pass. Housekeeping ruined it for me.

I like the room setup and the bed is conformable, but i had a lot of issues. 1) I had issues with the shower, the water keep changing from cold to hot and hot again, then cold, i could not enjoy my shower, i stayed for 11 days, two times during my shower the water stopped, so i had to wait 10-20 sec. to have the water again (where are we still leaving) !. 2) They have renovation, the worker started at 6:30 am !!, come on this is a hotel for people to sleep and be comfortable, such work should not start before 8 am. 3) They have a lot of problem in internet connection, one night i could not make a connection at all, when i call the reception, yes we are working on it, yes we are working on it, at 11 Pm, the reception with very cold blood told why do not you come and work here at our business center ! 4) Adding to all, when you go out to the parking to take your car, you will find it painted with birdsshit, so you have to spend 5 min. in cleaning it to be able to use it. When I complained about the above 3 point to the reception, she went to tell the manager, he said OK we will talk to the workers, and did not to talk or apologies to me on anything, it's great way to retain customers. *Bottom line it was not a pleasant stay, and i would not stay at Quality Hotel Dorval Aeroport again.

We use to stay here a few years back for a night before or after our vacation to get the 7 day parking. We preferred to pay extra for indoor parking. A few years back the hotel was showing signs of being old and dumpy and they no longer had the indoor parking so we stopped going there. This time we called and were told the indoor parking was back in service and the rooms are being redone. We booked and stayed in a new room and used their indoor parking and it was wonderful. Very nice room. The check in staff was nice even in the middle of the night! Our car was safe and sound in the indoor parking. The only complaint we had was the breakfast room was not clean or organized when we used it and they had no fruit?! Plus the view from our new beautiful room showed piles of old tires next door and garbage all over the place. The outside area really needs to be cleaned up. But all in all it worked for our needs.

If you like being lied to and cheated, this is the place for you. They will waste your time, take your money and yell at you. Don't waste your time until they dump their ways. Never again will I be taken by their scam on parking.

I have stayed at this hotel primarily for convenience and value with parking for holiday flights out. There was a time (4-5 years ago) when the service was outstanding and managment was really working hard to grow the business; and they succeeded. However probably a change in ownership and perhaps pooled investor funding buyout has resulted in poor onsite management and simply stupidity at the desk and in the breakfast restaurant.I returned from south in winter to find car impossible to retrieve due to a one week past snow fall. no help and no snow shovels to get out. Rooms have undergone some improvement but service has gone the opposite direction. Breakfast is simply not worth a second glance; empty bins with host standing like a statue doing nothing. Would love to see former management back. I think they probably were owner managers and actually knew what was going on and cared.

We had a terrible experience here! We checked in around 4:00 and was given a room on the first floor, check in is on the second floor. The first floor is cold, damp and dark not a good first impression. As we walked to our room we walked down a long hall and saw no other customers, but did see the hall lined with garbage bags and dirty laundry bags. We entered our 17 degree cold room and turned the heat up on full and went under the blankets for 2 hours to wait till it warmed up. It warmed to a balmy 19 degrees and wouldn't warm up any more. I called the front desk to complain. They sent the manager down with a heat dish style heater to try to fix the problem. My husband asked "Why can't we move to another room?" They then offer to move us no problem. It's beyond me why they would put a customer in the "basement" if there were other rooms available. The room we were moved to was nice, clean, and warm. I believe the language barrier was the problem because I'm from Ontario and only speak English!

Stayed here using a stay and fly package while we went south for a week. After booking i noticed a lot of negative comments regarding this hotel, but seeing as we had stayed here several years ago without a problem, figured we would'nt have a problem. We were 6 in our group and each couple were given clean rooms which seemed recently renovated. Everything was functional and staff were curtious and efficient. We used the hotels shuttle service to and from the airport which went without a hitch. Breackfast was included and was ok for starting the day. So in regard as to all the negative reviews, this customer was more than satified with the quality of accomadations and service recieved.
