We are easy going travelers but this hotel was an Absolute Nightmare!!! 1st: Hotel was unable to check us in on time. Room not until 4:30 pm on Check In Day (this was not the end of the world but inconvenient as we had been up since 3:00 am). 2nd: Hours after checking in, Water flooded the bathroom from several floors above, spilling into the room. The property had to move us to a new room. We paid extra for the original room that we were in and the new room wasn't as nice. 3rd: NO HOT WATER the next morning. The Cold shower in the morning was the icing on the cake! This hotel is an absolute disaster! We requested a credit or discount due to all of the issues and I believe we should have received some credit for part of the stay. The hotel refused. Sometimes apologies aren't enough. The Sofitel brand has lost my business forever. 5 Star hotel unable to provide the basics and too cheap to make it up to a customer. I am very disappointed and will make my feelings known to their corporate office.

Location is good (but not in old Montreal) and the staff is very helpful. The gym is small and without windows.

Doesn't seem to be a 5 stars hotel with very basic amenities and very little staff nothing in our room was working like tv remote or lights or the phone in the room to call reception. We were there for just 3 days and the first day I was lockdown in the elevator and I was scared to death because the elevator was not working After I pointed out the issues to the receptionists she said I know because of covid situations we gave kits of problems sorry that you are not happy with our hotel and that was her help we are not happy at all with this hotel and our stay and I will not recommend this hotel to anyone

Hotel is in a very convenient location. The rooms are extremely small, and the beds feel worn out and old. Lobby is pretty but no nice touches like coffee/water in the lobby. Be prepared to be put on hold for awhile if you call for a copy of your invoice - if you book through Orbitz, the Sofitel won’t automatically send you one because they “don’t have your email address.” Our stay was fine, but this is not a “5 star” hotel.
The staff are wonderful and very knowledgeable about the city and it's events. The service was wonderful! This is my go to hotel when I visit Montreal. I first visited her during the opening year. I will be back!! Best location!!!
Very comfortable beds, spacious room. I did not like that we could not use the refrigerator because it was a mini bar and you are automatically charged if you took anything out so I had no cold water and it was hot out!!!

The staff is exceptional on every level. Don’t like the house restaurant too expensive to have a regular meal for breakfast or lunch. Didn’t eat there at all during my trip due to price.
The room had a fabulous view of the bustling city. Sparkling clean. Pillows, bed and towels were all fresh and fluffy. I liked everything about it.
