This is a great hotel. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. I always enjoy my stay here!
We chose thiis hotel due to its proximity to the casino and other attractions. Although the staff was friendly and the room was clean, the lobby and the room itself were dated in terms of decor and the amenities offered were limited. There was a huge HVAC unit in the room which was quite noisy and took up a good deal of the window space. The unit leaked condensate all over the floor while we were sleeping, so we woke up to a very damp floor. A parking garage is available but it is self-park only. Finally, we were required to sign a credit card authorization for double the price of our one-night stay to cover “potential damages.” I understand the need for collecting an authorization, but the amount required seemed excessive. Overall, this is a fine hotel if you’re traveling on a budget, but I would recommend spending an extra $50-$85 and getting something more upscale if that’s an option for you.
Great hotel environment. Easy to walk anywhere downtown. Check in was easy.
Rather old but good enough for the price. It smells in the hallway but no smell in the room.
We had very high hopes for this hotel when we saw the pictures online, but it was rather depressing and disappointing once we got there. First, since ambience does mean everything, the hotel is located in what appears to be a rather drab and depressing part of Montreal. There's almost no green space or parks in the vicinity of the hotel. It looks like a big overgrown concrete jungle around there. The bathroom was rather dirty and we had to ask the hotel staff to come in and clean it again, so that my wife could give our 3 year-old daughter a bath. The real kicker, though, is that the lifeguard on hand did not allow me and my three year old son to swim in the swimming pool because we did not have "proper swimsuits". Despite it being the last half-hour of the pool being open, she just would not budge on this. I've never heard of such a rule being enforced. Its quite ridiculous if you ask me! If you want to have a happy experience in an aesthetically pleasing environment, this hotel is not the place where you want to be.
Here for a 2-night business trip, comfortable, clean, quiet room. Didn’t try breakfast or pool / gym.
Nice hotel close to Crescent St. Large rooms with hardwood floors
Awesome and recommend it. Very nice and clean hotel. Very closr to downtown
Loved the room and the staff. The buffet breakfast was not that good. It was cold and not much of a selection so I would recommend to eat elsewhere. We stayed in the Junior Suite which was very nice, felt like a small apartment. The hotel is very close to things to do in the area and the Bell Center.
Old renovated hotel. Clean room. Comfortable bed. But you can not increase the temperature more than 23 Celsius so consider other option if you are traveling in wintertime. I think the parking is cheaper than many others in downtown montreal
I found the hotel just a little odd in its atmosphere and quite expensive for the location and services. A little further out of the way than I thought. Coffee machine didn't work and only coffee that was there was all espresso level. No options for milder coffee. Room was comfortable though and check in and check out was easy. I think maybe all hotel prices have skyrocketed in Montreal.
