Hotels.com is disappointing.

What bugs me isn't the hotel or the service, but the price requested to spend a thursday night after a long day. I saw the receipt and the price indicated was 172.32$CAD However, i got charged 221$CAD for the stay. Hotels.com isn't helping find afordable deals for it's consumer, this time it felt like abuse. Nothing against Hotel Chrome, but Hotels.com as become so greedy that i'm now planning to change my habits regarding hotel rental. Being a gold member is worth nothing if it means getting charged 50$ over the price requested by the hotel itself.

That was overall quite awful, the first night we were there, the lights did not work in the room and there was exposed wires in the light fixtures. When my wife went to turn on one of the bed side lamps, it sparked, I completely lost it when that happened, I really hope no one needs to stay there for any reason, the only good thing about it is the location, however, there was still plenty of noise, construction, garbage and police presence. Horrible hotel.

The rooms were nice and comfortable. Few things that I had like to call out: - No drinkable water so we had to order a pack of water bottle - No services or welcome goodies that you are notice at the hotel - You have to change garbage bins by yourself - The Wi-Fi was truly bad it didn't worked for me at all. There are few merits as well the space is available just right near the area where accessing China Town, Basilica Church, Old port or uptown Montreal which was definitely convenient for us. I think thats what I really paid for and not the services. There was an old guy at the frontend desk whom I found was truly rude person. I requested him about exchanging coins because the ATM machine didn't had any coins. At first, he agreed and in the next instance he said "I need to fix something in the computer so don't disturb me". So, helping guests at the hotel was not a priority for him. However, the girl receptionist who helped me at the check-in was exceptionally nice and even the guy at the checkout process was great.

Convenient location located about a 20 minute walk from Gare Centrale and near STM Metro stations and BIXI. Only minor complaint that I have is the powerbar outlets in my room felt loose and didn't make a good connection to my laptop charger. Everything else was fine and the room was comfortable for two nights while visiting the city during the day.

This hotel is located within walking distance of many places (I do walk a lot so that should be considered). About 10 minute walk to old port, older montreal, university area, etc. variety of food places from reasonable to fine dining. the beds were comfortable and had plenty of room. Do be careful in the shower, test the water. this is the hotest water I have ever had at a hotel. The staff was friendly and I always felt safe. There is a grocery store up the street, we picked up pastry and milk for breakfast. the room has a refrigerator so this was very convenient and affordable way to start the day. I would recommend if you are looking for a well located place to stay. Note there is no restaurant at the property so if you are interested in room service or eating/drinking at the hotel, this is not available in the hotel, it is a short walk away. As we found in other parts of Canada during this trip the cleaning service is every three days. We were fine with this, but if you like your room cleaned and freshened daily then this will be one of the places you should avoid. If I wanted to go back to montreal I would be very comfortable staying here again.

The hotel should had notified us that there was construction on the street which limited parking availability. We had to wait for someone to check out to get his parking space. As for the room. The tub was dirty, they only gave us one face cloth and hand towel for 3 night stay. Housekeeping didn’t come into the room at all. The desk had a crooked leg so it wasn’t safe to put anything on top. The curtains had a few off the links looking very sloppy. The icing on the cake was the bed my son was sleeping on, the headboard fell out of the wall and he was lucky it dropped down part way behind the bed otherwise it would have fallen on him.

Hallway smelt of urine. Room smelt of lemon pledge, then urine. Shower would not drain. Water pressure was hit or miss. Overall an absolutely terrible experience, i cut my 3 day trip short.

There was construction that woke us up at 7am, which wasn't mentioned at check in. Location was great. Easy to walk everywhere. Bed was comfortable, room was fine. Parking lot was full so we had to park a couple blocks away. I would stay here again if in Montreal.

The beds were clean and comfortable and has a mini fridge. No ice available and no coffee machine in room. No breakfast available-just coffee. It is very outdated, air conditioner is old/dirty and ceiling above was covered in a black exhaust like dust. Staff were very nice. I found it expensive for getting bare minimum amenities.

Dirty carpets & radiator no filter

The carpet was not clean full of dust & hair.Also the radiators that maintain the airflow had not been cleaned in a while. So you are breathing this black dust.
