We visited this hotel for a sunday birthday treat and although it was a Groupon deal, I personally had visited this hotel before albeit just for sandwiches and coffee but had thought it was excellent. How wrong I was that day !!! We were seated by a window overlooking a building site in a dark area of the restaurant and the food was abismal. My partner ordered sword fish and it was flaked sparingly into what can only be described as pudding rice. Gloopy , thick and stuck together . Shockingly bad, will not return
I've stayed many times in another of this group's properties in Manchester, and decided to try this place out. The staff are lovely and friendly. But although I love the warehouse conversion concept - and I'd been upgraded (as a Lifetime Platinum SPG / Marriott guest) - the room I was in was simply a bit dated and very ordinary. I have one more prepaid stay booked in here, but have swapped other bookings to Marriott's other nearby hotels. A shame...
Having spent many a night in a Marriott Hotel in the States I was attracted by this warehouse conversion and hoping for the same level of service that I had experienced stateside. The conversion has been sympathetically carried out and I think it is now a very nice space. My room was spacious and the bed very comfy. I thought the breakfast was especially good and the quality of the food was excellent. I did have a couple of issues with the room service but Katrina has discussed them with me and is going to make amends on my next visit, which I am already looking forward to.
Fantastic hotel, staff are very helpful, room was fantastic, parking was in front of the hotel. Fantastic breakfast was served in the hotel Restuarant. Brilliant customer service from Alex and Babychem 👌 5 Star ⭐️ Will be booking again
spent a night here and it was perfect location since it was near our activities.the hotel is clean, beautiful.the only problem was we had to go to another place for swimming as there was no swimming pool in the hotel building..its about 5 minutes walk.even the gym was a 5 mins walk!about the booking when you use the website there are hidden charges that you will only see when you are about to pay.
I parked my car in a space out front and checked in with my wife. We were staying for 3 nights while visiting friends. As I checked in, I was asked if I wanted to pre-pay for breakfast for the duration for the two of us. I did as I was informed this would be cheaper. When we got to our room we saw there was NO heating in the room except for a small oil filled radiator and an air conditioning unit built into the room. Despite turning up both to the highest, the room felt cold and damp. I spoke to the desk and they said all of the rooms were the same. So after 3 days of living like this, we checked out only to find that we'd been charged £25 a day for breakfast which it definitely wasn't worth this. Further to this I was changed £17 a day just for parking my car in their own car park. When I queried the latter, I was told by the abrupt lady behind the desk that it's a standard charge for ALL the residents who park their car.
Unfortunately this was the worse stay ever in my life in Marriott hotel's chain. In general, hotel is kind of decent and nice but only for a first sight, for second sight I was really unhappy there for a lot of reasons like: window which was broken and which wasn't possible to close properly (February), cold water in shower - (they said that's something had broken and they don't know how long it will take to repair it), very poor room service (found my coffee cup in a bath tube?!, dirty bad, leftovers from previous person, flush didn't work properly....) Hotel stuff wasn't professional at all starting with cleaning lady ending up with a guys on reception...If you are fast enough you would have all range of the food during the breakfast, if you come later, you can end up with a spoon of very dry mixed eggs...In general I was in Marriott in Germany, Spain, Italy, Czech republic, Houston, Dubai etc, and this one definitely the worse and think twice before you book this one
I booked this hotel as part of a package for a surprise trip for my husband. I really wasn't expecting the high standard I got at such a good price! The decor fits the city so well, the rooms are lovely and very comfortable, the staff are really friendly and helpful and the location is perfect, really close to everything you'd need. We enjoyed our first stay in April 2017 that we went back again in August 2017 and intend to return again.
Arrived on a Tuesday for two nights. I quite like Marriots as a chain because they are normally run well and this was no exception. Bar was ok for a quiet beer and some dinner which was fine. Room was clean and in good condition and bed comfortable. Good breakfast and good wifi. Will stay again when I next go to Manchester.
Rooms are clean and reception staff was warm and kind. They were very accomodating and patient in their interactions. Helpful and always willing to help. They placed an extra heater to keep room warm for comfort. Average amenities. Simple things sets them apart.
