The room was just perfect. The staff is really helpful and nice. I would like to thank José at the check-in and Maryenn at check out for the special care with our luggages, including my sister’s guitar. They booked a table for us at the restaurant El Gato Negro. Best recommendation ever.
Just stayed for two nights last weekend. Got a great deal on Secret escapes and a very lovely and helpful reception from the charming Concierge and reception. This converted warehouse along the river in Salford is really nice and perfectly situated for awalk into the city centre past Spinningfields where all the bars and restaurants are and into the city centre. Also you are a short walk from the Alberts Shed (restaurant) area and close enough to pop to Cloud 23 at the Hilton which is fab (delicious if not expensive cocktails). I would stay here again without a doubt. All of the staff were delightful and the bar was really lovely and breakfast was good. The view 'at the moment' is of a building site across the river but it will be lovely when finished i'm sure. The building was wooden beamed throughout and obviously has a long industrial history which it would have been interesting to have read about with photos etc, especially for the many American visitors. Manchester is a lovely, friendly and clean city and i'd definitely recommend staying here.
Ashley and Martin took care of our jet lagged team vet well. Very comfortable bar setting after a long journey and ahead of a long conference. The Marriott Victoria and Albert is a classic of in Manchester
As soon as you drive up to the entrance, Babychen comes to greet you and makes you feel so welcome. He will valet park your car and his willingness to assist in making your stay special is second to none. Once inside, check in is quick and efficient and everyone is friendly. In fact the staff everywhere are too. Breakfast is the usual Marriott fayre, which is always delicious. My only slight criticism is tgat it has no gym, swim or executive lounge, but the staff make up for that!
Fantastic New Year’s Eve in Manchester, full of love, laugh and many more! One of the memories that can’t be repeated soon! It’s a recommended places for people who are looking for something special and adorable 🥃😀
Marriott platinum. Check in check out was good and efficient with professional staff. Breakfast the next day was really good. My room however was very dated and need a facelift. Stains on couch, spiderwebs in some corners, and the bathtub had that brown residue leftover from where there was a slip pad. Like I said before, the staff is good, but it would do the hotel some real good updating the rooms.
I can't really say anything but 4/5. I'll include some pics. I didn't try the food so I can't say. The room was ok and it's an impressive building. A mill conversion I would think. Some sort of old industrial building I think. Let down at the last in that they refused to refund my breakfast charge because I had to leave at 5.30am. It's not as if they'd cooked it at that point.... or can claim they've employed extra staff. The guy on reception seemed terrified of what his manager would say. I had a rate that included breakfast. More caution needed with regard to standing on ceremony about policy. I was tempted with a 3/5.
Hotel seemed a bit dated though location was fine. Close enough walk to some of the central area but not exactly a great view. Staff was great, very friendly and willing to help out with any questions.
I was surprised with this stay for my birthday. Check in was a very slow process, however it looked as though the young man was being trained. I absolutely loved the design of this hotel, the room was perfect. I had the best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time !! Breakfast was lovely, however when we went back to get something else, the waitress had already cleared our table which was slightly awkward. However, all the staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay again !!
On arrival at the hotel we we weren't sure where we should be. No one greeted us on arrival, the bar area was very busy with conference guests and no staff to be seen. Finally we were assisted by an older male staff member, though friendly, his uniform made us think he may have been a handyman! We eventually ordered our choice of tea and after noon tea.Service was very slow. We waited almost 25 minutes for our food, in which time our tea pots were empty. We asked for re fills, which we got. We had to ask for jam to go with our scones, which along with our waitress were covered in icing sugar! We would have liked a clean plate for our sweets, but no staff around again. Sadly the scones were very very crispy. I struggled to cut it with a normal knife and only ate 1 of the 2. We almost felt like we were being ignored as we were using a groupon voucher!
