Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel

good location - close to spinningfields but also near the ring road for accessibility into and out of the city. No more car parking spots to offer me however chappy on reception was helpful and advised me. Some building work going on outside was noisy. Rooms ok- bit dated and dark bit not too bad. Bathroom again abit dated and could have been a bit cleaner. Had room only. Would stay again as good location and if the £ was right but would look other options first.

We stayed in this hotel 7 days. Although the hotel is originally a warehouse, it's maintained very well and had all the luxury's of the Marriott 5 star hotel. Our spacious room was overlooking the creek, and each morning and afternoon, we were visited with lovely ducks and geese. Location is also very good and centered around the shopping and restaurants.

This is a very old property and rooms are totally outdated. Lot of the things were broken in the room - TV stand, mattress was completely bent, etc. Good restaurant and bar at the hotel. Location is good.

My wife and I visit Manchester 2 or 3 times a year and keep returning to the V&A. The building itself is a conversion of a Victorian warehouse and they have done an excellent job in retaining original features, notably the wooden beams and brickwork. We were upgraded to a suite facing the River Irwell (we always request river view) which was absolutely lovely. Hotel location is very convenient for the city centre being between Spinningfields and Castlefield, also a short walk to the Manchester Arena. The room was spotlessly clean and as usual the staff were courteous and professional. Many thanks to Sarah and Jessica for making our breakfasts so enjoyable and always managing to find us a table by the window overlooking the river.

Yet another excellent time at the Victoria and Albert Hotel. From the minute we arrived we were treat by staff as special guests. Our room was not ready when we arrived but we spent quality time in the bar while waiting. This was only about an hour before getting our room key. Anne Mary on reception was so helpful and pleasant to us and also said I think you will like your room. Our room was on the fourth floor and it was a complete and utter surprise to us it was one of the best rooms in the hotel. A duplex room lounge bathroom downstairs and large bedroom and shower room upstairs. This was us for two nights. Amazing. Thank you so much Victoria and Albert once again. VIP tickets for the theatre with VIP treatment at Victoria and Albert.

Booked as a deal through lastminute.com - the headline price was reasonable but the add on's made it a little pricey. Breakfast and car parking were not included in hotel room fee - completely get that breakfast is not included in budget hotels but this wasn't budget. That said, the hotel was very well decorated and interior design made it feel special. The staff welcoming and helpful. Our rooms were very comfortable with wood panelling and a good sized bed. It would have been preferable to have the adjoining room promised for our daughter but it wasn't the end of the world. The showers were ridiculous - I'm most definiely not tall and I could not stand under it without bending my knees! Breakfast was ok - pastries were not great quality and I quickly dropped the house coffee in preference for a special order. The location was great for getting into the city and sightseeing.

Stayed here with my son prior to the Man Utd game against Brighton. Arrived around 8pm, reception staff were very helpful as I was rushing to get to a restaurant nearby. Valet parking was simple and the room was spacious with two double beds. Breakfast was excellent and altogether a very good experience. Only 4 stars as the tv in the room wasn't working which was irritating!

I had a buffet breakfast in the hotel. Lovely Sarah was serving my table and she was super nice and helpful. She was very knowledgeable about the beverages they offer. She made sure I got a great cappuccino on the table. I also liked how chatty she is with customers while she was cleaning the tables. She creates very warm environment in the restaurant.

Very good first impression of the hotel, check in was efficient and receptionist lovely and welcoming. We had room 341 on the third floor, two huge extremely comfy beds ,pillows super fluffy! What a lovely old building too, the old beams everywhere and the furniture is chosen well, lots of leather sofas, velvet textures and teal and gold colours. We only wished to be staying longer! In the afternoon we had tapas and a bottle of wine in the bar, bar staff were pleasant and efficient and food was very nice. Breakfast on Wednesday morning sort of average but we were a bit later down. The two female staff at work were very friendly and pleasant. Highly recommend this as an ideal Hotel to stop at as it is a short walk into Manchester but primarily as all the staff we met were genuinely friendly. Just one complaint now, don't run out of hot chocolate in the bar for late night guests!!!

I have stayed at this hotel for one night and despite the reason of my trip was for business, it's been a very pleasant stay. The hotel was clean and nice, the room spacious with a perfect WI-FI connection. The staff has been friendly and professional since my arriving at the parking and thanks to Andreea, who works at the reception: she's been so kind to explain me how to reach the city center. So not only the quality of the hotel but also its close location to the center it's been a plus, for me.
