Very impressive modern hotel in excellent situation wonderful staff nice room with excellent bathroom open plan lobby with all day dining evening food slightly pricey but probably not untoward for central Manchester.really brilliant breakfast one of very best I've had in a holiday inn.have stayed in many ihg group hotels in Manchester area and this is easily the best

I really wish I would have got the young ladies name that checked me in August 22 at 10:45am. She was so pleasant and told me she would go over the map with me since it was my first time in Manchester. I was going to talk to her more when I went back down to get food, but she was gone for the day and I didn’t see her anymore while I was there. The guy that was at the desk when I went back was not interested in helping me. He pretty much just told me that if I just walked down the block everything was right there. NOT HELPFUL! I am glad that I started my stay in Manchester at this hotel though because it was a great place to get my feet wet. It was right near the Piccadilly train station which is the main railway station in Manchester. The Piccadilly Gardens, Arndale Shopping Center, Gay Village are all nearby. I just happened to be in town for pride unknowingly, so it was pleasant to be able to walk over and see the area come alive for the celebration. The room and the bed was comfortable. I loved that chair. It was a great place to relax. I enjoyed the view and the natural light that came into the room.

My friend and I have had the best afternoon tea at the Holiday Inn today (10th Oct) the staff were all lovely and service was excellent. I purchased the rustic afternoon tea through Groupon, so different to the usual sandwiches and cakes. We had mini beef burgers, fish goujon ciabatta with potato wedges, sausage rolls, warm scones with jam and clotted cream and also cheese and biscuits served with a latte, pot of tea and 2 generous glasses of wine. Presentation of the food was really nice and the whole afternoon tea was perfect. I did manage to tell I think he was head chef my review of the visit and he said he would pass on our compliments to the rest of the team. We will definitely be returning to the Holiday Inn in the near future. Thank you.

We found the staff to be helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to help The breakfast was quite good. The rooms are small but well laid out so you don’t miss the space. A quick walk to the train stations. I would stay here again.

Arriving late in the evening after 36 hours without sleep, I was not best pleased to learn that there wasn’t an available room in the category that had been booked for me. But wonderful Rob at the front desk moved so quickly that before I knew it, I was ensconced in a penthouse suite with a shower bigger than my own apartment and an extremely comfortable bed! I didn’t want to leave! The hotel is spotlessly clean, the Nespresso machine was a nice touch in the room, the different choices of pillow much appreciated. The staff are all delightful and extremely helpful. It’s in a super location minutes from the station and I’d definitely stay there again if visiting Manchester. Thank you!

Just 5 minutes walk from Piccadilly Station, this Holiday Inn provides very comfortable accomodation and offers a great value stay. I have stayed at this hotel on several occasion and always had an excellent Check-in/out is speedy & efficient and if you are an IHG member you can normally have an extended check out time. The nicely appointed air conditioned rooms are well equipped with a comfortable bed, wall mounted TV, safe, work station , tea & coffee facilities, iron & ironing board, adequate storage. The bathroom has good lighting, anti-mist mirror, a large shower & good quality towels. The buffet breakfast is very good offering an extensive choice of fruit, juices, cereals, hot & cold selection, breads (including gluten free section), tea & coffee and is excellent value at £10 per person. The breakfast staff are always friendly and efficient

We stayed here last weekend for our anniversary, booked through the IHG App as a member. I called ahead and advised the hotel that we were booked for our anniversary and the receptionist made a note. To our total surprise when we entered our room we had been upgraded and had a beautiful gift from the hotel. It was such a lovely touch and much appreciated. It really helped us celebrate in style. Well done Holiday Inn. BTW, the breakfast included was lovely.

Went for a "rustic afternoon tea" a different take on the usual tea. The food was very good and the portions were good too. The friendly staff made this experience even better Leigh was especially good. They made sure we had everything we wanted. Alltogether a great experience at a very good price.

This is a comfortable hotel very conveniently adjacent to Piccadilly Station. What makes it stand out for me on my frequent visits is the care of the staff, who remember what you like, share a joke and just give you the sense that they want you to be happy with your stay. And a special mention for the breakfast staff who are always so helpful.

Nice big room, bed, helpful reception staff. Typical Holiday Inn, ticks all the boxes. Many food and entertainment options nearby, and a few minutes walk to the station, car rental, tram stops, free bus service. Really convenient. Smoking terrace, which was important for me. Would stay again.
