At arrival we were very disappointed. I booked this resort because the reviews were very good and what we saw and experienced made us question the review process.... We expected a very family friendly resort with many activities for our kids and my family to enjoy for our 8 day vacation, after all it was said to be a 4.5+ star place and was on the higher spectrum of price and luxury. During check in we were told all the restaurants were full with reservations and our only option was the buffet which was small and only had a few selections which did not cater at all to children or people with seafood allergies. The night life was not existent as well with no activities past pool time except small bands at 9:30 which no one seemed to attend so we didn’t either. By the end of our first night and being there only 8 hours, we were dreading the remainer of our stay. We spent $500 on family concierge but by the end of day 2, nothing was done for our kids and it was later refunded. The family activities is ONLY a Kid Zone in the back of the resort that you can check your kids into like a day care but it was filthy. I didn’t bring my kids to be in daycare, I wanted them to have fun at the pool with activities. However, We decided to give it the best we could and we enjoyed the sun & relaxation. The privacy of the resort and the swimmable beach was nice. As long as you tip well, you get drinks and service. We took Uber’s into town for dinners 4 of 7 days. We enjoyed our trip overall

It was perfect! We had an amazing time. We reserved different restaurants every night. The customer service was incredible!

The property is gorgeous-- incredible views, sophisticated interior design, and impeccably clean. The staff is unfailingly friendly-- though, speed of service from some of the restaurants and bar staff will be impacted by whether or not you're tipping. The food is above average for all-inclusives. Dishes in most restaurants are well conceived and composed, though quality was inconsistent. It's best to set up restaurant reservations for your stay as soon as you get there; I saw a handful of people get turned away from a mostly empty restaurant because they hadn't booked in advance. The availability of 24-hour room service is a nice luxury and we took advantage of it at least once daily. The Family Concierge, David, took great care of us, surprising our kid with balloon animals and special snacks in the room. Our room, the Oceanfront Master Suite, was larger than any home I lived in until I was in my mid-30s-- the closet itself was bigger than some bedrooms in my house. The resort didn't offer a ton in terms of entertainment, which was fine for us, but should be noted if you expect to have a full itinerary of on-resort activities. Everyone on staff was bilingual English/Spanish, so I never had to rely too much on my weak Spanish. Good to know: though Uber isn't technically legal (there's a vote in March), we used it a few times to get to/from San Jose del Cabo and it was basically no different than the experience I have with it in the US. It's a fraction of the cost of taxis.

Modern, spacious, and had the culture of Mexico. Staff was friendly. Beautiful views all led to the ocean.

Wow did we as a family of four (6 month old and 2 year old) enjoy our stay at Paradisus by Melia, from check in to check out it was a place to relax and just rest. (not that you can with two little girls but we did:) We want to come back again as a family with kids because they are kid friendly, you can actually swim at the beach - kids or adults and the amenities and food are just incredible. We visited last week of January so the weather wasn't extremely hot but perfect to tan and soak in the 78-80 degree sun. Food was great, loved it and was surprised by the quality and taste, stakes, salmon, breakfast and dinner, 7 restaurants gives you plenty of choices. I can go on an on but point is, we are coming back and thank you staff for taking care of us so well.

Stayed 6 nights did the royal service. Upon arrival they knew we had gotten the royal service and took us to a lounge and offered us a drink while we waited for our butler, we did not have to check in at the front. Our butler Ramon explained everything to us, showed us the royal service lounge and took care of the check in process. He told us about the amenities and restaurants and asked if we had any food allergies. The Room- I requested an ocean view with balcony which we got but the balcony did not have a glass rail like some of the pictures so the view was partly obstructed, if you want a nicer view make sure to request a glass balcony which are available on higher floors. The room does not have screen doors for the balcony which was a huge bummer since I like to hear the ocean and keep the critters out. It also meant that at night we had to sleep with the fan on or AC to get airflow otherwise the room felt stuffy. Overall decor and cleanliness of the room and bathroom were great. Robes and slippers were provided as well as a safe, mini bar, and pod coffee maker. Restaurants- make reservations. They will ask you if you have any food allergies and pass the info to your waiter. Our favs were the breakfast buffet, buffet or Gabi for lunch and The market for dinner, the food is above average. Service- adults only pool service was not good, we got better service by the beach. Butlers were amazing! Staff is top notch. Beach- beach is swimmable but sand is coarse

Excellent !! My top pick for Baja !! After traveling to many places of the world, this ranks with some of the highest.

Best hotel experience, stay in the royal suite and ask for Alexis the Butler

Much improvement over last visit condition and food. There was no activities in the pool or pool side. It’s all just lay around. No fun and probably not come by again. Going somewhere fun next visit to Cabo.

This resort was very nice and great for families with younger children. The pool was big and you could always find a chair. The food was ok and the buffet was hit or miss. Gabi’s always good. We would return to this hotel if we were looking for a quiet relaxing vacation.

We came the day after a large tropical storm so the hotel itself was a bit disheveled, however within hours the staff had cleaned and put it back together so nicely you couldn't even tell there had been a major event the day before. The rooms are medium sized but very clean and nice. Staff was exceptional, they took special care in every little detail. The food was better than most all inclusive resorts I have been to. We were hoping for a bit more liveliness in the evening times, but were told it was a bit more laid back due to the recent storm. the resort is about 10 minutes from downtown San Jose which is an up and coming art and foodie scene. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would recommend this location.

Rooms were very well cleaned up everyday. Good variety of food. Friendly staff.

Everything was great. The food, the pool, the bar, the entertainment. The Gabby restaurant we felt a little rushed and then ignored. But all other restaurants were great. The service everywhere (besides Gabby resturant) was amazing.

We were blown away. This hotel and resort was everything we were looking for and my wife and I are both on the boujie side of things when it comes down to resorts and vacations. Our room was very modern and sheek and very 2018. The resort itself was beautiful, clean, and very relaxing. With the the multiple restaurants and bars to go to, it was definitely better, than staying near the loud and noisy Medano Beach/Cabo San Lucas port area. We needed to get away and unwind for our anniversary and we did that, the staff was so courteous and I would def. recommend this resort as we are planning to revist this area yearly going forward.

Everything about this resort is amazing . The food , the waiter service at the pool, rooms, grounds. Only thing that I didn’t love was that the ocean is too rough to swim , the sand is extremely course on the feet but it is still beautiful.

Awesome stay! Modern and convenient amenities. The staff was attentive and the meals were great. The beach had a swimable area which isn’t common for Cabo. There was ample shade and the bars were stocked with top shelf booze. My friend and I had a very relaxing and enjoyable week in Mexico thanks to our comfortable accommodations.

Visited July, 2017. They truly treat you like royalty here. Shuttle pulled up to the resort, we were greeted by friendly smiles, escorted to the bar, drink orders taken, walked up to Royal Service lounge asked if we had already had dinner. Wife & I were starving, were immediately given menus and dinner order taken. Ate delicious chef-presented dinner, concierge came over to our table, said we were now checked in and our bags are in our room. It was that easy! After dinner, we were given a tour of resort, introduced to our butler, and given a cell phone to reach her 24/7. Seemed like a good idea, but it didn't work out. I called butler once on 2nd day, turned out to be her day off. I apologized and told her I could wait til next day. I called her the next day but she didn't answer. Left her two voice mails in the next couple days. Never received a call back. Stopped trying after that. I didn't let that affect our stay. The resort is beautiful, the staff is awesome, so friendly. We had a swim up room so it was hard to get get pool waiters to notice us to order drinks. I went out to the hall and ran into Alan who from that point on made sure we were well taken care of. Tip hotel staff well, they all work so hard. The beach is private we hardly saw anyone there. You can't swim in the ocean, just wet your feet. But it's beautiful. Overall had an awesome time at Paradisus. You should go too!
