The entire Paradisus experience was flawless, starting with check-in all the way through check-out. We were still getting out of our shuttle when we were welcomed and offered drinks: champagne for the adults and fancy virgin drinks for the kids. Check-in was smooth and quick. We were given our bracelets, which were classy and a big improvement from the plastic paper and/or plastic wrist bands in the past when the hotel was Melia Cabo Real. We've been back almost a week and I am still wearing my bracelet! It's a small wooden rectangle with the Paradisus logo etched on it, plus black satin cord (the kids' bracelets are red satin). The food was amazing. The drinks were amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. The service was impeccable. We loved the poolside service and the nightly visits at 9 pm from housekeeping offering us fresh towels and chocolates. I got sick on my last night there. I saw the resort doctor, then was transferred to the hospital in San Jose del Cabo. The staff was wonderful; concerned, friendly, and understanding. Check-out was quick and painless. I doubt it took even 5 minutes. The resort underwent major renovation since Hurricane Odile in 2014 and re-opened in late December 2016. It is gorgeous! It's a big improvement from the former Melia Cabo Real. We were treated like royalty and felt like rock stars. Can't wait to go back! It was truly the perfect vacation.
Everything in the hotel has been recently renovated and has a contemporary new look. It was pretty quiet overall, but did start to look busy as we were leaving. Staff was very attentive attentive.
More staff than guests. Food was OK. Loud spa music at pool bar all day long, it would have been nice to hear something else.
Would definitely return. Because we arrived on opening day, some of the facilities were not yet open (gym and kids club)
