The other reviews says it all. It was perfect overall. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. Resort is well maintained and beautiful. The bathroom in the room lacks privacy and the service at Italian/French restaurants can be slow, that would be my only 'complaints'. Staff was also honest: I lost my wallet the first night at the Japanese Restaurant and Laeticia (our waitress) returned it to lost and found with all the money in it! I was so thankful and appreciative. Also, please dont forget to tip the waiters, they work hard and they deserve it :-)

Check-in: We arrived early & were unable to check-in for 4 hours! We didn't get a room until 4:30pm & we arrived at 12:30pm. They didn't offer any real options (spa coupons, free bottle of wine, discounts at the gift shop, or offer us or a discount for our very long wait). They didn’t even say they were sorry for the inconvenience. Room: Great view, 5th floor in 2nd building. Clean. Food: A lot of options - Very nice. French, Spanish, Asian, Steakhouse, Italian, Buffet, Coffee Shop, Taco/Snack Place, & 24-hour Deli. Seating: Fire pits on the water - Very neat & nice as it was cooler & breezy in the evenings. Service: Overall was okay, but not everyone shared the "friendly" vibe. Service in the mornings in the 2 buffet locations was fair. The service at the Steakhouse was also fair-poor. Great service at French & Italian restaurants.

Staff was so friendly and helpful. Our room was bigger than I expected and well layed out with an incredible view. We brought our two boys (3 & 6) and they loved it - especially the kids pool with water slides. Ziva was really kid friendly without it being a totally kid-centered place so we, as adults really enjoyed it too. I was also very pleasantly surprised how good the food and drinks were. We will definitely go back!!

When you first walk up the stairs into the lobby you are greeted with warm smiles and an amazing view of the pools and ocean! The staff (all of the staff) are kind and have a genuine desire to make your stay pleasurable. My family and I enjoyed our stay so much! We will go back and stay at the Hiatt Ziva again!

We stayed at this fabulous all-inclusive resort on the beach in Los Cabos for one of my wife's major birthdays. It was the perfect choice with beautiful views of the ocean, including an excellent sand beach. We stayed in a balcony room that's perfect for relaxing after a long day of fun. Of course there are many pools including an adults-only and a kids splash park on opposite sides of the resort. The restaurants were top notch, including mimosas at the breakfast buffet and lobsters the size of Mexico at the beachside grill (small extra charge). We also had Italian one night at the other beachside restaurant with excellent dishes (I had the catch of the day which was sea bass) with a beautiful sea breeze, ocean waves crashing and tiki lights that made the night magical. The hotel staff is very friendly and attentive. We've stayed at some places that are all-inclusive where the staff didn't really like their jobs, but everyone here had a smile on their face and wanted to be ever so helpful. Here's the best part - we stayed during the first week of March Madness basketball and the Sports Bar was great. There are many huge screen tv's, plenty of comfy chairs, pool tables and of course free drinks; i.e. heaven. We plan to go back to this great resort in the near future. I promise you'll enjoy it too.

Orbitz reservation indicated three people per room, but listed only two guests, which we did not realize until we checked in. It took 3 hours of phone call with Orbitz to get a room for 3 people. The shower door does not seal so water leaks out to the bathroom floor when taking a shower; which was very dangerous and uncomfortable for us (87 years old). The front room was uncomfortably cold and I came down with a cold midway during the stay. We informed the front desk several times about the problems, but the problem was not resolved. One of the agent commented that the room was obtained on line, implying that rooms thru Orbitz are not given the same service or clients are given lower priority rooms

The resort was beautiful, meticulously maintained. All of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The dining options had a wide variety and all food was very good. We never had to wait at any restaurant. The pools were big and the heated ones were always occupied, but never felt crowded. Our room was always stocked and linens refreshed. We will definitely return!

We stayed here for a week and didn't want to leave. The view from the lobby over the pools and to the sparkling sea is lovely. It is a big resort located on a long stretch of beach. We ran into a cold spell but still enjoyed the sunshine. The beach is not good for swimming because of the waves, but is a perfect place to watch sunrise and sting rays swimming and jumping. 1. Staff were universally friendly and kind. This hotel clearly makes thoughtful hires. Just to cite a few names, we met the manager Silvester and executive chef Ruben at one point, and both made us feel like royalty. Our waiter at the French restaurant Alexandro was very sweet and attentive. Our waitress at the Spanish restaurant Araceli made us feel welcome, and made exceptional Spanish coffee for us. The coffee shop girls, like Vanessa, were all nice. Margarita was a kind lady who rotates among the restaurants and it was beautiful to see her hug kids. 2. There were multiple pools and plenty of chairs, though the front rows are taken up early. There's a place for you whether you like to sun bathe or lie under shade. The grounds were kept very clean. 3. The fire pits at night were special. They were great romantic places to get warm, as well as meet other people. 4. There were many restaurants and food choices. Breakfast was plentiful with so many varieties that we couldn't try every single thing. French and Spanish were our favorites. Wished room sound insulation was better.

Beautiful resort! Food was good. Rooms were HUGE and clean!

This hotel was pretty fantastic as an all-around resort. Other resorts might focus on one thing and do it better (i.e. including free scuba or others have more of a party scene), but this hotel does everything very well and there's not much to complain about at all. We stayed at the beginning of November, the weather was great and the hotel was half empty, which means less lines, less people bothering you and more attention from staff. All of the restaurants were fantastic (except the French restaurant, very disappointing), even the buffet was great (usually buffets are garbage). The room was very clean, very nicely appointed. Minor complaints - Not enough chairs around the pool. You aren't allowed in the ocean due to the current. The air conditioner was all or nothing - molten lava or igloo. The bathroom didn't have much privacy, so if you're dropping a deuce, I hope your partner is at the pool. Activities people were lackluster and almost non-existent. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

went over the thanksgiving holiday and it never once felt crowded.

Beautiful grounds, clean and comfy rooms, amazing staff, delicious food and drinks...would definitely recommend for couples or families!!

OCEAN VIEW ALLOWED US TO VIEW THE OCEAN AND THE POOL. ROOM AND BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE.

The hotel is a great option for family travel with great pool area and fairly decent food, considering it's an all inclusive. The staff is just tops in friendliness!!

We loved this hotel. Staff is awsome. They help you out on everything. Food is excellent. They have so many restaurants.

Very clean, great location overlooking the main pool with a view of the ocean. The room was exceptionally clean everyday by the staff as was the hotel. The food was great we did not use room service so I can not report on that. The buffet was the best I have had at an all inclusive resort. The alacarte resturants were were great also. The staff is what makes this hotel. The staff make sure all your needs are met, very freindly and great to chat with. The Spanish tapas resturant was great, Daniel and Nelson were our waiters they were unbelievable great service and talked us through the entire menu. Will be back and recommend hyatt ziva to all.

This was our first time traveling outside of the US. It was a destination wedding and we had a great time! The room was great, beds were awesome, staff was friendly, accommodating and overall made our trip a great experience. Whatever you wanted or needed, they were there!

The people's are excellent , they do anything to make you happy

Awesome resort. Great attentive service from your arrival until your last day of check out. Good restaurants and great cocktails, a variety of premium liquor and great beer and tequila choices. Margarita, Jesus, Francisco, Antonio, Juan, ezequiel, Mariel, Alberto, Erik, Guadalupe, etc. Thank you all for your services. We will see you all soon.
