This is our 4th time we have stayed at Casa Dorada in the last 5 years. It is well maintained and close to the marina and other restaurants in town. They have a nice roped off beach with room to stay away from the souvenir sales people. This is the only place we would stay due to the location. Hotel staff is very nice. The only issues some may have is getting the perfect room location. Not every room view is perfect (3rd floor and up is probably better) nor is it good to be too close to the Mango Deck because of noise. The gym will hopefully be moved back to the original location because I do enjoy working out. When cruise ship people come to the resort, they do make the beach experience a little less appealing because they pack them in and they get in your space. These are not deal breakers but prefer the best view, less noise, no cruise ship people and want the gym back in the original place.
Great view, great beach, great service and great food
Wonderful hotel on a beautiful swimable beach, 10 minute walk to the marina, water taxis are available on the beach right outside the hotel to visit lovers/Divorce Beach, right next door to a really fun restaurant. Hotel was clean, beautiful, clean, extremely safe. Hotel staff was remarkable. Hotel food and drinks were delicious but a little bit pricey. Greeted with a tropical cocktail. We forgot our passports in the room safe and didn't realize it until we got to the airport. I called the hotel and they immediately sent security to grab them for us and delivered them to the airport safely and soundly just in time for us to make our flight.
Super close to town, great restaurants ,fantastic views on UPPER floors . Noisy on right side due to Mango restaurant but quiet after 10:30 pm. Too much sales pressure but take the sales pitch to get the free sunset boat trip and great price for the 5 hour fishing. We didn't buy a week and they could not believe it.
hotel was beautiful staff was extremely pleasant, room was clean, towels at teh pool were plush, water was pristine. right outside town and a 5 minute drive from supermarkets (we prefer to cook ourselves) such as wal mart or costco (take your costco id with you) beach was noisy and water full of gas from all the boats but it is not a private beach the next time we are in Cabos I will definitely return there
I came to casa dorada with my husband and 2 1/2 year old daughter. The hotel accommodated us very well, and even gave us a free room upgrade! Our fight was cancelled and we were late arriving by a day and they kindly gave us a $100 credit to use anywhere at the hotel. I was very pleased with my experience and would highly recommend Casa Dorada!
We had a great time relaxing at Casa Dorada! The view at the pool is breathtaking! Easy walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping! We will definitely stay here again!
Great place to vacation, near the beach and restaurants. Great staff and clean and comfortable rooms.
This hotel is directly on a beautiful beach with calm, rolling waves. The hotel is immaculate and the hotel staff was wonderful. There are several restaurants on the property and two adjacent to the property that all have superb food. The hotel is also in close proximity to Puerto Parisio shopping mall, Luxury Avenue and the marina for lots of shopping and food.
Beautiful hotel in the heart of Cabo San Lucas, right on the beach. Great hotel and restaurant staff, particularly loved Luis, the lifeguard on the beach. He is a precious sole who cared for everyone out there, He goes above and beyond his job daily. We enjoyed beautiful dinners at the restaurant as well as several breakfasts. My son reeled in a 9ft Marlin on a deep sea fishing trip on the boat "Reel Medicine" and they prepared it for us in a beautiful dinner at the hotel restaurant. Great swim up bar with tasty drinks for kids and adults! Easy walk to the marina or a short water taxi ride. My whole family enjoyed Cabo and Casa Dorado emensly and look forward to returning someday soon!
I've stayed here a number of time, over 10 since they've opened. This time it was down-season and maybe 40% occupied. The location is second to none and you have two large pools (more on this later) and swimmable beach access. Recently they did an update to rooms which was great - except that they no longer provide you with paper towels for kitchen. Want to eat in? Use a towel. Fridge is now full with drinks but it's a mini bar, which is fine. The downstairs dining area is great for breakfast and recently remodeled. Wonderful, and food is still great. The pools, this is where my main disappointment is. This is the main reason we come is for our kids. There is a great art booth (Rosa is wonderful with your kids) and of course ice cream and poolside chicken fingers and fries. Kids will be happy. Where the disappointment was, actually disgust was the pools. Tons and tons of insects, garbage, hair and trash in the pool. I thought maybe since we checked in on a Saturday afternoon it was a "tough" first day. Sunday comes, I see them vacuum the pool, scrape the walls at 8 AM. We arrive at 9 am and dip in with the kids - the pool water is disgusting. Again. We head to the beach, which was fine. We established some great relationships over the years at Casa Dorada with staff and they've echoed our concerns and opinions. Casa Dorada is too focused on timeshare sales and less on the staff and amenities. Like the pools - should be a #1 concern. Instead they were just disgusting.
Great experience. Would definitely stay again. This vacation was without the kids but seemed kid friendly
Loved this hotel.Has great beach views from all over the hotel. The rooms are super spacious, they kept all the areas super clean. The hotel staff was super friendly and accommodating.the only thing i'll work on would be the room service. They have a limited menu and made some mistakes in our orders.Ouside of that i loved my experience staying here.I'll come back again for sure
Excellent I would recommend to other people The staff was very nice
I have stayed in Cabo 22 times and at many resorts. I have to say Casa Dorada exceeds all expectations and any other resorts in Cabo. Would not consider staying anywhere else. They have a wonderful staff working there and go above and beyond to please there guests. Jesus, at the front desk truly cares that you have a great time. You are truly treated as a V.I.P. you will not find that kind of hospitality anywhere else in Cabo. Looking forward to our next trip.
Love the hotel love the staff great vacation can't wait to go back
This hotel is great. It is clean, the staff is wonderful and so friendly. Location is perfect. Rooms are beautiful and spacious. The beach is little busy during the day with vendors but it is walking distance to many places.
I took my girlfriend (now fiance) to Cabo where I proposed and she was absolutely in love with Casa Dorada. Our Junior Suite was so spacious and words can't express how beautiful the view was from our balcony. Not once did we miss the morning sunrise. We even ordered breakfast/roomservice, which arrived in a timely manner. The staff was very friendly, but I was quite surprised that not one person on their staff offered us any info about any timeshare, special offers of free breakfast, excursions, etc. Nonetheless it didn't bother us much. The location is perfect and makes it walking distance to everything! Mango Deck is located right in front of Casa Dorada and is a very fun and lively place to be. However, I think they should relocate and move to the west of the beach because I think they obstruct the front section of the hotel. Casa Dorada can use that space to offer more amenities along the beach!
Great facilities, great service, amazing views from the room. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Only negative was that we rented a car and on the last day after we left the hotel, I noticed a small crack in the front windshield that wasn't there before. However, since I left the hotel property and noticed the crack after, the hotel wouldn't take responsibility. It ended up not being a big deal when I returned the car. Word to the wise, make the valet inspect your car with you when you drop off and pick up your car to protect yourself. Overall, highly recommend this hotel and will return.
The hotel is great, but for $330/night (including the 29 taxes) + no breakfast + no wi-fi it is too pricey. On top of this, someone from the staff stole my wife's swimming suit (go figure...). We only got here because Pueblo Bonito Blanco did not recognize our reservation....and Casa Dorada was the only short term choice.
