This is the first time back in Cabo in 10 years and we picked a winner of an all inclusive resort. The Hacienda Encantada was perfect. It is a quiet location away from the Marina but not too far that you could not take a taxi/shuttle to get there. The many pools allows you variety of where you can relax and listen to the waves crashing on the shore. Food and service exceeded our expectation throughout the property. Would definitely return here for another stay.

This was our first family vacation, the resort was beautiful however on our first family dinner at Los Riscos I ordered the pasta for my 2 year old which we found a rubber band in her food. She could've very well choked on it had we not been careful and paid attention. We informed the waiter and the chef and they were defensive that they have a perfect system and tried to blame us. When I spoke to the front desk they apologized and said someone would get back to me, I still haven't heard back from anyone. Also in the same restaurant a lady next to us fell, one of the legs from her chair broke and she was pretty petite. Not all of the lighting in our room worked and our fridge was leaking. On our last day we had to carry all of our luggages down because the elevator was broken. I'm not sure if I'll be going back as my experience wasn't all that great for it being a luxury resort.

This is a 5 star All-Inclusive property with amazing views, food and a friendly staff. Roberto made sure we were comfortable by the adult pool and patio/bar/cafe. We stayed in an ocean view studio room that had a king size bed.and a balcony with nice cushioned chairs and a small table. This room was very large and had a small refrigerator that was stocked daily with water, beer, sodas. The only con about this room (#2350) was that is was on the end of the hallway and next door outside the building there was residence construction going on. This didn't affect our sleep and we were out of our room most days, however, to spend much time on our balcony without noise from the sawing and dust from the sawing was sometimes difficult. This All-Inclusive also allowed us to eat at several other restaurants in the Cabo marina. We did try a couple of them and they were all good and upscale in the area.This was a real plus too! We would definately recommend this resort to anyone! sidenote: There is a beach, but not a swimming beach.

We travelled to Los Cabos in Feb/March and stayed at two very different resorts (Hacienda Encantada and Hyatt Ziva). We had all inclusive at both. The HE had these very amazing views towards the ocean and Los arcos. The food was very good. The coconut shrimp at lunch were the best. The shuttle into town to eat at Jack’s and Baja Lobster was a nice feature. The service throughout the resort was great, especially José Luis C (server phase 3 pool), Elizabeth (hostess Las Maria’s) and Karla (Las Maria’s). The resort is quite hilly hence the great views but they have shuttle golf carts that provide good transportation. Not much of a beach area, but the pools were great. We would come again.

This is a huge resort. We had some problems with the hot water the first night, and they came to fix it fairly quickly. Staff were all great. A special should out to the activity coordinator Fernan Antonez. He did a great job with our kids, and us too. It's a hilly resort, and requires walking up hill to get to the dining room. They have guys driving golf carts around to help. But we didn't end up using one All in all, a great time.

We stayed from 2/12 - 2/17 and the weather was beautiful! Ever more beautiful was this resort. There are many restaurants to eat at with a wide variety of food. The service is excellent. I highly suggest the fish tacos from El Forno. My only complaint was our room smelled like a fart and I believe they use Splenda to sweeten their mixed drinks.

I cannot say enough good things about his Resort. I have been here three times now and each time I think gets better. This trip we stayed in a one bedroom premium suite in the Encanto building with all inclusive. Upon a Saturday arrival, check in was easy even though the outside lobby was buzzing with people. Opening the door to our room we were surprised with a major leak in the living area ceiling (from the plunge pool above we were told). I called the front desk and within a short period of time, they had us moved to a room just down the hall -- same amenities, same views. We were thrilled with treatment we received. Having gone to Mexico many times, I sometimes have come to expect the "manana" attitude. Not here. The staff cater to everyone with cheerful smiles and willingness to help. As far as the all inclusive -- it really can't be beat. Breakfast can be buffet or by the menu. I would suggest trying both during your stay. Some of the menu items can't be found during the buffet (my fav - chilequiles) so taking a peek at the menu was surprising. The pool food is fantastic and I'm a sucker for pool fries and these are great! We also experienced coconut shrimp, tacos (of all meats/fish), salads. Each pool had similar food items, but every pool seemed to have some items not offered elsewhere so again I would suggest checking them all out. The biggest impression for me was the free transportation (with all inclusive) to the sister resort at the marina where there were multitudes of dining options from sushi, to steaks and seafood and of course mexican. As far as the grounds, they were impeccably maintained and since we were there in Feburary, they had many of the trees on the grounds lighted with red glass hearts which made evening walks around the property beautiful. We used the gym a number of times. I would say that this is the resorts biggest downfall. It was lacking in amenities. It did the job but was very crowded every time we were there. They are building another building, and I didn't tour the facility so maybe they will be making a bigger gym for that building -- they are aslo building a much bigger onsite market -- which will be good since a lot of the suites have kitchens for cooking and the current market is limited in its stock (we didn't really need anything since we were AI). They were just finishing up a sand volleyball court and I heard they were also putting in a putt-putt golf area. Add the existing tennis, basketball, and paddle ball courts, there truly is something for everyone. Make a reservation as soon as you get there for the free horseback riding and the temazcal treatment. DKTravler wrote an amazing review which really sums up our experience as well. The pictures of the rooms provided on Trip Advisor are very accurate as to what to expect. We want to stay in the residences next time so we can experience the other part of this wonderful resort. I'm happy to answer any specific questions -- just ask!

We loved everything about our visit from the first experience of calling Antonio in reservations. He was amazing and found us exactly the perfect villa to fit our needs. Giovanni waited on us at the pool and the taco bar. He was our favorite. I wish he was our butler. Please promote him. He is so amazing with guest services.

What we were looking for: 
A nice all inclusive with good quality food & sleep comfort. A relaxing vacation. 

General location: 
Very good. Waterfront. Where the corridor meets Cabo, a 15 minute drive to Cabo.

The room was very clean. The grounds & amenities were well manicured and very clean.

The Rooms: 
The room was spacious. Nice sized shower and bathroom. The shower was missing a few accent tiles, not a big deal to me. Countertop & mirror in bathroom were higher than most other hotels, which was strange. Considering the size of the room, 2 more chairs would have been nice. A table with a couple of chairs would have made the room more functional for things like coffee and a laptop. Minibar was well stocked. We had to call once to restock. It was dealt with immediately and we received a follow up call to make sure our request was handled. Impressive. Air conditioner compressor was very noisy with a loud bang regularly. Perhaps a faulty compressor? Outside temperature was 70’s-80’s, so we simply used the ceiling fan, it did the trick.
I mentioned it at check out time. I feel that if I would have mentioned it earlier I am certain that they would have fixed it as their service was very good. 
Sleep and bed comfort
: Super comfy beds & pillows. Top points here. 

: Gym, very good. Lots of pools and places to eat. Business centre was fine. WIFI was OK most of the time. Pathways were clean, golf carts are available to taxi you around the resort. We only used the golf cart service with luggage, other than that we were happy to walk around the resort and get a bit of exercise. There is a small store on resort which carries everything. There is an activity schedule. A nice man named Fernand is the activity guy. We only got the schedule a few days in. I don’t know why we were not given an activity schedule at check in, we may have taken part in a few more activities. We took part in the ceviche cooking class & sweat hut. A previous reviewer had complained about private transport not having access to the resort. Our transport service had full access, no problems. Uber is not allowed on the property. Plan accordingly. Pools for the most had plenty of towels and loungers.

Food and Drink: 
Drinks: Very good. We don’t do many all inclusive resorts, partly because the perception and reality can be that the quality can be sub -par. Not here. Drinks were great. Lots of selection and good enough quality for included drinks. Wine was Chilean. It was OK. Food: 5/5 on casual eats & breakfast. I found that where the resort really excelled was at “casual” meals like tacos, fish tacos, breakfasts, forno pizzas… Also very good was poolside food and the evening buffet at the special poolside entertainment event. All these options were excellent. We were very pleased. Where the food would get a 3/5 is on the high end. It is not easy for any resort to excel at high end. This is not a reason to avoid the resort, and not really a complaint. Simply adjust your expectations. Having access to the Cabo sister resort’s restaurants was a huge plus for us. It was a major reason we picked this resort and we took advantage of the perk on two occasions. Skybar, Baja Lobster & Jack’s were really good.

The Staff:
At the resort the staff were in general very kind, helpful and accommodating. Really nice people! While at the resort I felt that management and staff really wanted to ensure we had a great time. I appreciated that high level of professionalism. Example: We needed a lightbulb replacement, it was dealt with in 5 minutes. I doubt that many Canadian hotels would provide such a high level of speedy service. I was however disappointed in the “pre-trip” email communications. They were spotty at best and required continual follow up & reminders “did you get my last 2 re-sends?”. Poor communication is annoying, this could be improved greatly. A large disappointment was in trying to book horseback riding weeks in advance by email. My request was not acknowledged, nor was it administered. By time we arrived at the hotel “sorry senior, horseback riding is booked”. This was very disappointing because I had done all I could to be proactive and arrange this from home well in advance. I sent reminders, and proper action was not taken on the resort’s end. The result was no horseback riding, an activity we really enjoy and really wanted to do. 

The Crowd: 
Lots of Americans (Texans) some Canadians and a few Mexicans. Age ranging from late 20’s to many +50’s. Mostly adults, some children, but not overrun with children. For the most part a friendly decent crowd with manners. I came across only one instance with a snippety rude person barking at me to stay away from her large patch of reserved lounge chairs. The resort has signage and frowns (as do I) upon such behaviour.

The Vibe: 
Pretty good vibe, not pretentious. Different pools had different vibes. The adult pool was very social. Lots of people chatting and having fun. Surprisingly the least populated pool was the “activity pool” which is where kids activities and aqua games are. Music is going at all waking hours. We really would have liked if there was a “tranquility pool area” where there is zero music, zero kids, and only the sound of the ocean waves. The fact that this resort does not have such a place is the only reason we would question returning. We felt between the loud music (which I am ok with sometimes, just not ALL the time) and construction noise, we were not able to simply chill on our balcony & relax. 

Friendly & professional staff & location. Food & drink quality is very good. Having access to the sister resort in Cabo along with its restaurants is a huge plus that we really appreciated. Sleep comfort very good.

Have a “tranquility area” near the ocean. Improve email communication.

: A really good resort with a terrific staff. We had a small issue at a restaurant one night, the manager went over and above to acknowledge the problem. To me this is excellent customer service in acknowledging a problem and trying to do better. The resort gets major points for having a proper attitude in trying keep customers happy.

Upon arrival we were greeted & bags were taken care of before we checked in which was simple & pleasant. We arrived 2 hrs earlier & they attempted to have the room ready & said come back in 45 minutes (we had a bite to eat and came back) as promised. This is great after a long day of travel. We had the one bedroom suite & it was just as advertised. immaculate, spacious & had a breath taking view. We were able to see the sunset by the famous Arch which made for great photos. I liked the full menu when sitting by the pool side. The staff were pleasant & readily available. Since this was the off season, pools & restaurants were not crowded. We went to the Italian restaurant one night & had a pleasant meal outdoors overlooking the water. For breakfast there was only one restaurant choice, the buffet options changed daily but the essentials were there. They had a nice blend of US/CDN choices as well as Mexican cuisine. The resort itself is a decent size & we always had carts available to drive us around. Our last night, we experienced one of their theme nights. There was an outdoor buffet with a live Circus show. The food was exceptional & not food just made in bulk & put in serving trays. The person with me does not eat meat & enjoyed countless seafood alternatives. There are a total of 9 restaurants/bars, some off resort restaurant options (they honoured our all-inclusive package). We booked our excursion through them no issue there. I recommend this hotel.
