Beautiful resort close to town and marina.

My son was married on October 16 at Sandros Finisterra. The wedding was the most beautiful wedding I have ever attended. Saindos did an outstanding job and the food at the reception was awesome. My room did not have hot or even warm water. My son had already complained about something else, so I did not say anything. My room smelled horrible and I had to have the air conditioner on all the time. The food was okay—not great. The food at my son’s wedding was great—every day food not so. The concierge was MIA a lot. The venue is in a location that one is not able to go into the ocean. The service at the pool was very good. The drinks were extremely weak. I drank all day long and never felt the effects of alcohol. But that is probably a good thing. I put on a jumpsuit for dinner one night. The restroom was on the inside of a restaurant. When I pulled my jumpsuit back on, I noticed that the legs of my jumpsuit were wet (Yuchhh). Then I noticed the floor around the commode was very wet. The staff was nice and always had a smile on their faces—I really appreciated that.

The property is beautiful and in a great location to the marina and shopping. This is our second stay, this time with 70 others for a wedding. Service is on and off. Food is way below standard for lunch and dinner. Room service, poor. They always miss something. Numerous times we called with requests and no one ever called back or accommodated. Would I stay again, yes, IF THE PRICE WAS GREAT. I did find a few items we all liked at the Tortuga bar. ( We, several of us ordered multiple nights, 3-4 orders of the mini filet bites with a scoop of mash potatoes and gravy and mini plates of tasty edamames. Fish, shrimp, etc were so fishy no one could eat. Better quality food and a little touch to the room service menu and you will have an Excellent. But this was our second visit and nothing has changed from 2 years ago.

Perfect Location!

We like the proximity to the Marina for additional dining options. The waiter that we ask for everyday for breakfast and lunch was Artura who was outstanding. Customer service at the front desk was really lacking. We requested a room change on the morning of day 2 because our A/C wasn't working. There was a room 3 doors down that the staff was cleaning and we ask if we could move there. The desk said it wouldn't be ready until 3:30 that day but clearing is was ready that morning. When we got moved to the new room, the safe had been locked and we again ask for someone to come and unlock the safe so that we could go to dinner. It took 1.5 hours for that to happen. On day 3, house keeping had not cleaned our room, after calling the desk they said someone will be up to take care of that. No one came. Also, we ran out of the bottled water in the cooler, that was also ignored. Finally after going down to the desk a 2nd time, a bellman ask us what we needed. He got us water within 5 minutes. We still love the hotel, it was our 4th visit, just need either more staff or more attention to the customer's needs.

The location was awesome. Within walking distance to the marina and downtown areas. Great views lots of options to eat. Lots of activities and most importantly a very accommodating and hard working staff.

Everything was clean & beautiful & everyone was super friendly

The hot tubs at this hotel are not hot. The food is mediocre. The nightly entertainment is a joke.

We love Sandos Finisterra. We have stayed there twice and have had good experiences. Nikki does a great job and works hard. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Nice view form some rooms, other than that, very pour food, the people from hotel want to sell you time shares, and are very pushing even if you tell them NO. they do not honor what they advertise, they use they own exchange rate. the market was $21.40 Mexican pesos per Dollar the charge $17.50 so you have to pay them more dollars. every where they want tips, everything is over price, in the lobby store an small Red Bull cost $7. 50 dollars. totally unpleased stay.

Food was not good at any restaurant on site. The only thing we thought was decent were the desserts at the cafe. Mixed drinks were watered down. Housekeeping must have dropped my watch on tile as it was broken on counter when we came back to room. Several staff stopping you to pitch you excursions etc every time you walk into lobby. Grounds are beautiful but would suggest to book non inclusive hotel and eat/drink off site at marina and in town!

Very nice property and very friendly staff

I love everything about this property. The staff are friendly and the resort is as beautiful as pictured. The food are great. I was a little disappointed in the selection of the buffet during breakfast at Don Diego and I was under the impression that Don Diego was a steakhouse but didn't have any steak selection. But our favorite place is Tortuga and Emiliano. There's also pizza by the pool that serves sushi and it was delicious! The wait is a little long but worth it. Cupcake Café has the best coffee. Nelson is my favorite barista. He makes the perfect cup for me. I would definitely stay at Sandos Finisterra again. It's close to the marina (literally across the street) where there is plenty of shops, restaurants, and a better deal on excursions. I wouldn't book an excursion before my trip next time.

We had the best time at this resort!! We’re came for our 25th wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint! We were upgraded once we got there to my surprise and the room was wonderful! Carlos and Wendy were outstanding! They made sure we were always happy and taking care of! We will stay again!

We absolutely LOVED Santos!! The food, the property, the cleanliness, the staff...were all exceptional! Carlos and Wendy were especially fabulous and made sure we were well taken care of. Couldn't have asked for a better experience or a better place to spend our 20th wedding anniversary!

Every one was so helpful and organized

Very friendly, helpful, and clean. The Mexican and Italian food wasn’t good and when we booked this trip it didn’t advertise NO SWIMMING ON THE BEACH that was a bummer.

Extremely noisy room. We could not have a single night of quality sleep in our room. Very smelly and disgusting bathroom. Very small variety of foods. They wasted, at least, 3 hours of our time trying to sell us timeshare. Would never ever go to any Sandos resort.
