Nice hotel, access to the beach, great food, clean rooms with modern bathroom.

Large complex with great view of lands end. The food was decent, cocktails were just ok and the pools were cold. The staff was friendly but you may have to ask for something more than once before getting it. As an all-inclusive resort, it's on par with others. If you're going to party and/or golf it is a good spot. If you're going to relax, I might suggest somewhere other than Cabo. Spa - massage was not that great and steam room didn't work. The gym is ok. The cardio room is tiny with only 3/5 machines working. Overall, for the price it was a decent value.

This resort is way too noisy, staff too noisy, pool area has music constantly blasting so loud you can't escape it even in your room. Staff constantly yelling on a microphone day and night. I went on vacation to get some rest and relaxation and that was not going to happen at the RIU Palace.

Hotel was great; they said it was renovated and you can certainly tell that it was. Most of the staff was great and courteous and attentive. This is our 3rd time going to Cabo but was first time at the Palace, we previously stayed at Santa Fe next door. We stayed in the suites with Jacuzzi in the room overlooking the ocean which was lovely; next time I would stay in the swim up rooms on ground level. The pools weren't crowded but the pool with swim up bar certainly was which is why I would prefer the rooms with swim up. NEGATIVE: The vendors on the beach who constantly approached us when we were sitting in the beach. They don't bother you if you are on hotel grounds as they are not allowed to; being that the beach is a public area they can do that. The other thing, in our room we moved the couch around to look at the wonderful view of the ocean and the arches, and noticed housekeeping missed to vacuum behind the couch because there was some dust balls and a marble. The mini fridge also had 2 opened bottles (a soda and water), so housekeeping also forgot to check the fridge. I requested 2 days in a row that a cake and bottle (which is courtesy of hotel) be sent to us for a bday, and it never was sent. Lastly, we tipped a bartender very well because of his service, and as we were leaving he said thanks to us and that his tip was going to be used towards scoring drugs! My husband told me to pick up my jaw and just keep walking; that honestly ruined my evening.

Hotel personnel stole $600 out of my room. If this had not occurred, it would have been a great trip. We will not return to Mexico for a while and, if we do, we will be more cautious about our affairs.

Perfect location! Great pools, never had hard time finding lounge chairs. Staff was excellent! Food- maybe if lucky it'll be warm. Most is cold. Same food over and over. Breakfast was the best meal of day by far! I got sick from the food along with MANY MANY more that traveled first week of April 2017. One bride had to postpone wedding two days as she had also eaten something bad! The year prior we stayed at Hyatt Ziva and would highly recommend going there and avoid this one as being sick/not good meals can ruin a vacation!

we stayed at the RIU palace for a week with their all inclusive package. was a great time. this is just a small review of our experience: First the good: The location of the hotel is great. just outside the crazy party scene, but close enough to downtown to partake all the festivities. The room was a bit underwhelming, but no complains. the pools are great, big and activities galore throughout the day. 2 pools with bars did get crowded at times, but the staff kept the drinks coming fast. Full points to the staff from the check in, to the buffet staff, the restaurant staff, the entertainment staff and ofcourse the tireless cleaning staff. always a smile on the face :) There were 5 restaurants on site and we tried most of them. The food was good in most and the KRYSTAL stands out for the experience and the food. the mexican one has the best location and some very good mexican food. The shows everyday were amazing and a lot more professional than i expected. Kudos to Alex and the gang for making sure the show always goes on. now for the parts that could use improvements: I dont expect an all inclusive cuisine to wow me consistently, but the resort would benefit greatly from raising the quality and taste of the food, especially the deserts (even in the restaurants). having a lot of choice is good, having less choice with amazing taste is even better. the bathroom needs a venting fan. The indian and the japanese restaurant could use a consultant to bring the menu together

Best food for all-Inclusive that I have experienced ! Grounds and room always kept clean and is only a short distance from town !! Vendors are kept at a distance but handy if want to purchase something !! If you stay at Palace you have full use of the 'huge' Sante Fe also.

Gorgeous resort on a piece of beach that makes you want to stay there forever. I have stayed at other Riu Palace resorts in Mexico and Caribbean and this particular one is the best. Location is perfect just a couple of miles from downtown, modern amenities and excellent guest service. Food is good, we tried a couple of restaurants but you're not going to go wrong with the buffet. We enjoyed the never ending caviar (real caviar) and delicious desserts. Overall, perfect destination!

What a great vacation. I would like to see Orbitz work out a transportation to and from the airport.

We had a terrific time--very enjoyable and relaxing! This is our 14th year in the Los Cabos area and 4th year at the RIU.

I went here with a large group of friends. We had a fantastic time, whether it was in the pools, the lobby bar, or one of several restaurants, it didn't matter. The nice thing about the Palace was that we were able to go to the Rui Sante Fe (the sister resort) next door and party with the spring breakers, but they were not allowed at the Palace so we could relax when we wanted to.

I can't really think of anything negative to say. Overall the staff was very friendly with a few minor exceptions which you are bound to have with the size of the resort and the amount of people it takes to run it. I would definitely return.

All I can say is excellent experience. From start to finish. The facilities, staff, and food were all amazing.

everything are perfect except sometime less restaurants are open if you are out of the time of regular eating time.

Our stay was all in all great. If I am to complain I would say that it would be nicer if the stuff , especialy the restaurant stuff. Majority of the time they would just node their head and leave , and you would wait for a while or even have to request something two or tree times before getting it. So , comparing to Moon Palce in Cancun where I stayed 2years ago , the restaurant service there is at 10+ , while this service I would rate 4. Other then that , clean, great beach for swimming or sunbading.Great proximity to the city , excelent program for all ages . We did spend most nights at Riu Santa Fe cause their program was great. Would definitely recomend it to anyone who is looking to relax and have a great time.

Our first time in Cabo. Great hotel for relaxing. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We were in town for a destination wedding so did not have the opportunity to try all the restaurants on the property. Enjoyed the breakfast every morning. Will return.

Room with a jacuzzi but not a good idea to have slippery tiles all around! Husband slipped and also no need for stairs in room! I fell and walked on crutches for a day! The view was Amazing & loved the staff !!! The AC could of been colder!!!

We stayed 12 days and the the 7 day I couldn't wait to come home! It was so hard to find staff to give us drinks by the pool, the rooms were dirty and things were not properly working or broken! We called to have them fixed more than once, but no one came!!! the sofa in the room was so disgustingly dirty I didn't even want to get near it or touch it!!! The staff weren't friendly, the almost deemed bothered when asked for something! We met a few families and not to my surprise they all felt the same way!!!! Total disappointment!!! What happened RIU? I've never really been disappointed with your resorts, but you've let me down this time for sure!!!! Wouldn't recommend, at all!!!!!

overall good stay

could have been great visit but...

great location- not so great food!
