The room are nice and housekeeping does a great job cleaning. The bathroom could use little TLC ie repair the shower door so that water doesn’t excessively leak out onto the floor. The food is overpriced if you’re not on the all inclusive plan. We venture out to try new things through Cabo and surrounding city but we did 2 pools days at the resort. And, I have to say $5 us per taco is bit too much. It’s US prices and sometimes a little more. The location is nice you can walk into town in about 10 min

The staff was very pleasant and nice. The entertainment team was excellent and always kept the guests happy

Beautiful property, I would recommend it.

The property was very convenient to downtown shopping, dining, the harbor and all tours. Very clean and the staff is well trained and courteous.

Great place to stay, adult infinity pool was nice. Just wish it stayed open a little longer at night.

Great property to stay that is close to down town. Rooms were large.

Checking into the property was easy, but then they get you by making you listen to a hostess badger you into a timeshare presentation in order to get keys for the pool towels. After I decided to sign up for the presentation that was to be 90 mins long, it ended up over 4 hours of time since the property was a half hour away. The spa was amazing but the on-site restaurants were so-so. Pool hours for the adult only pool was until 9pm. I’ve never been to resort where the hours were so short. And the pool swim up bar cut their hours for food early too.

On April 25th I checked in to Playa Grande and I was so excited. I drove in to beautiful manicured grounds with views of pools and ocean. I was then aggressively asked to sit in a timeshare presentation. I finally agreed to 90 minutes. This 90 minutes wasn’t close to 90 minutes it was 5 hours and I had to ask to leave at that point, they would have aggressively kept going for a lot longer. When I got back I had a cockroach in my room. I opened up a report they offered to fumigate. I asked to speak to a manager and he wasn’t available to talk to me, I let them fumigate and went downtown to enjoy the rest of my day. I got back, I asked if it was safe to go back into my room because of fumigation and I asked to speak to the manager again. The manager, Edgar, said in Cabo this is normal that’s why we fumigate all the time. Ok back to my room and to the beautiful pool. Drinks were great, I ordered drinks and a pepperoni pizza. They told me the kitchen was closed that day at 5:30 and it was 5:33. I could only get drinks. Ok ordered drinks. Pool closes at 9 to me this is early especially since there is still music going that’s loud so this couldn’t be for noise. Then I go to shower for dinner, I done have hot water. I go to open a report about the hot water and they send someone to look at it. The next day no hot water. So two days of cold showers. I also found a dirty, seemingly stained due to moisture on my bed.

We liked the exclusivity while also being close to the marina area for walking/dining. The grounds were beautiful and the specialty nights were lots of fun. The kids loved the pools. My only gripe from the kids was that the mini golf should get some new greens

Great property and location. Food and service were excellent. No complaints.

One of the nicest placecs i have ever stayed!! Thank you!

The property sits along the Pacific Ocean with homes sitting atop mountain formations. It’s impossible to take a bad picture around here. The Grand Solmar is a touch fancier (same owners just next door), however this is more then enough for everyone except the fanciest of travelers. The rooms are clean but not fancy but the location is great. We ventured off the property for food and it was great. However, the resort hired great local cooks because the best tacos we had was right at pool side. The shrimp, pork chop and beef ones were excellent.

The room was great and views are great. Best showers I’ve ever had in a hotel. Food was pretty bad though. All inclusive was confusing. Staff, mostly bar tenders, will snob you out and it’s obvious that you are being targeted.

Very beautiful resort , every single staff member was very friendly and going out their way to make sure we were good. Truly enjoyed our stay. Definitely coming back.

The property is absolutely beautiful, a real treasure, sitting between the pacific ocean and the sea of cortez: you literally are overlook both of them when you go to the upper pool area on the ridge. The beach is beautiful and the kids loved playing on the edge of the waves. Rooms are spacious and luxurious. Staff was always friendly and hospitible. Food was mostly excellent, room service food and ridge food were best, seaside grill around main pool good. : Only poor food is at the main "Calima" restaurant. Breadfast is ok, but avoid Italian night buffet and stuff like that at Calima - super low quality, minimal choices. Still this property is really a gem and we had a great time.
