First time in Cabo, and decided to use an associate to my Timeshare due to the cost. It was affordable, but had we not rent a car, it would have been absolutely miserable. CONS: No Wifi in the rooms, mosquitos (I heard it's the season), outdated rooms, loud neighbors, expensive prices for food and drinks, far from downtown and far from the beach, One bar, One restaurant, Small outdoor area/pool. No free transportation. PROS: On a golf course so it's decent for getting in mileage if you're a runner. Day one: My husband thought, "we don't need to lock our car, there's nothing valuable we're leaving in it." Well, we left our iPhone charger in it and of course, it was missing the next morning. I can make speculations, you can make speculations, but at the end of the day, some loser stole it. Also day one: Pushy timeshare sales people. C'mon, this place sucks and I'm not looking for free shows to get a free week here again. I would not stay here again.
For the sake of a few of the staff who are superb and did a great job I wish I could've given a good review. We didn't get the room we signed up for online. We were switched to a less appealing room by the staff. We were told that Airbnb guests only get certain rooms. They also said they were overbooked and couldn't put us in the room we paid for. There is no Wifi in the rooms. The only wifi available is by the pool and outlets are scarce. Staff blamed the outage on a tropical storm that hit 6 months earlier. Why it couldn't have been fixed by now I don't know. On another occasion we were told it was Airbnb's fault if that makes any sense. Every morning thousands of mosquitos perched in our breezeway ready to make entry into our room when the cleaning lady leaves the door open. The room does come with a complimentary bottle of raid. We found that if you get up early and spray the entryway it will greatly reduce the number of mosquitos in your room for that day. We had to buy a fly swatter. Don't expect the smeared mosquito carcasses to be cleaned off the walls and mirrors by the cleaning service either. The coffee pot was old and seasoned with stains. We had to clean dead mosquitos out of the tank and pot. We noticed that when you tried pouring coffee it made a mess. Upon closer examination we found a small horizontal crack in the pot. We brought it to the attention of the cleaning lady who replaced it with an equally disgusting coffee pot. The grand finale was when we were checking out and they charged us $22.50 for a new coffee pot. I talked to the manager about it and he said he would get back with me which he never did. I even tried calling him. I also was never able to get a hold of Sarah. I tried calling her twice before we even left.
we traveled march 9 through march 16 2018. we had perfect 80 degree weather. we would spend the day at medano beach... which was loaded with people and unwelcome vendors. the sea of cortez is beautiful, but we were so thankful for the atmosphere of this resort when we would return.it is located on a golf course..with an awesome range. the staff is friendly and accommodating. the party of 5 i traveled with all agreed to stay here again in a heartbeat.
This place is beautiful to have a nice calm quiet time in Cabo. Loved our room but there was NO wifi in the room as advertised on my Airbnb. The breakfast was delicious and service was amazing. Loved that there was free mimosa and coffee included :)
The Los Cabos Golf resort is certainly a winner. It has a nice Mexican motif that imparts the sense of being in Mexico. Big Spacious rooms all with nice balconies or courtyards on the main floor. Daily house keeping is a huge plus. They do such a great job. Nice restaurant the has breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at reasonable prices. Bar by the pool with 2 X 1 after 1 pm. 2 nice pools. The one by the Bar is heated to about 90 degrees, a bit too warm for me. I like it about 80 - 85. The other pool was about 70. The big Jacuzzi pool holds about 10 people and is about 105. Great to soak those tired bones in. The Walmart shopping center can be walked to from this resort. We just go in the back way thru an adjacent lot, and also walk or taxi back($10) if we get a lot of groceries. There is a putting green thats fun to use. Washer Dryer on site in Bldg B. The resort has a Small gym that will disappoint, and of course there is a timeshare pitch as at ALL resorts. Less pressure at this one. The Golf Course front nine is still intact after the Tropical Storm. The Back nine suffered greatly. Only 2 holes remain. To play 18 you play 1 thru 9 and then 1-7 with 17 & 18. They are working hard to repair this back nine. Its hard to imagine it would be ready by this time Next Year ! With that they (Tounge in Cheek) are planning to build a 9 hole Par 3 course along the entrance to the resort. Again Plans are great, but I cant see how they will rebuild the main course and also do this Par 3 anytime in the near future. This resort is about a 1 1/2 miles from the beach. $15 taxi ride to Medano beach.
This is where i went for my Honeymoon and it was such a lovely place and lovely people working there. The room was clean and fancy with a mini kitchen and balcony and the bathroom was lovely. The pool area was nice and i loved all the flowers around and the trees, very quite place, also had a open bar in the pool area. The food in the resort was so delicious that we only ate there, and it wasn't all exclusive because we used time share and was very fordable. We had a rental car, so the beach was 5 min away, and the Famous Arch view was visible form one of the balconies there. The area around is nice and the local bars. There is a lot of attraction to do in Cabo, they also arrange shuttles for you to take to different attraction places. I can't wait to go back .
This hotel makes sure that every customer is a valued customer, soon as you let them know how much you appreciate their efforts, it seems they double the effort! Concierge Norma, Ricardo and Georgina at the front desk, and especially the bar staff, are all terrific! The housekeepers are doing a fantastic job of maintaining and cleanliness here is next to godliness... A smile and a friendly Ola from everyone who works here, including the re-paving stone street employees. Highly recommend this property, as it's small and personal, and away from traffic and "vendor" characters.
This resort was perfect for a week getaway. It's like a 30-minute ride from the airport. And the views and rooms were beautiful. Housekeeping, Arturial [sic], kept our room spotless. Building maintenance was quick when we reported a problem with the TV- he didn't bother trying to fix it in our room, just brought us a new one to replace it. Our room was on the second floor in Building E, had two full bathrooms-one had a tub, full kitchen with all amenities. There was an adjoining room if your traveling with children, but we didn't have any so the door stayed locked. Our friends' room was also in building E on the first floor. They had a patio, and we discovered an little alcove off one of the bathrooms. I recommend the second floor. Yeah, you might not like climbing those stairs after an evening of margaritas; but, to wake the morning and sip coffee on your balcony watching sun come up is well worth it! Had a putting green on property and the golf course was just down the rode. They offer a shuttle service shuttle service to the course. In fact, the shuttle will take you into town, about a ten minute drive and to the beach, about a ten minute drive. And come pick you up. It's right around the corner from a mini shopping mall which has a Walmart. Normally, on vacation I don't like to shop places I can at home, but this was so convenient for picking up snacks, bottled water, pop, and beer, and light groceries to last the week. (You'll really appreciate it after you realize you're paying anywhere from $3.50 to $7.00 for water...we were amazed that beer was way cheaper!) There's a spa onsite and while I didn't use it, our friends each had a massage which they said was great and that the masseuse was knowledge and skilled. There's a laundry onsite. There's no charge for washing and drying and you buy your detergent at the front desk. There's an exercise room with limited but adequate equipment, treadmill, elliptical, free weights, yoga room. And there are hammocks, if you want a chance to just lie and look at stars or just nap outside. The resort also has two full size pools, a jacuzzi-the jets didn't seem to stay on very long, and a private area, can't remember if it had a pool or was just for privacy. Best vacation we've had, no fuss!
They sold this membership to us and we have done everything what the salesmen explained to us, and when it was was time for us to collect monies because we sold back our week they did not come thru. WATCH IT!!!!!
Stayed at this resort for 2 weeks with friends through their vacation club. We had a 2 bedroom unit which consisted of a large room with a living room/dining room/kitchen on the first floor. A large screen tv, 1 chair, 1 large table, a dresser, and 2 nice couches that doubled as beds were in the living room area. The dining area consisted of a long table and 4 chairs. An open shelf unit separates the table from the kitchen, which has a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and all of the mains cooking and eating utensils (4 table settings.) No garbage disposal or dishwasher was in the unit. A large bathroom with a walk-in shower is beside the kitchen and a covered patio with a table and 4 chairs is just outside the living room. There are also other places for storage. The main bedroom has its own large bathroom with walk-in shower. There is a large kingsize bed and plenty of closet/dresser space. A covered patio is outside this room with a hammock. There is also a safe in the room. The second bedroom is a lockout unit. It has a small hallway to the main living space which has a mini refrigerator, small stove, microwave, and the same cooking/eating utensils (only 2 table settings) as the main kitchen. This room has a kingsize bed, large screen tv, safe, and plenty of closet/dresser space. An iron and ironing board was in this room also. The bathroom is large with a walk-in shower. There is a covered patio with a table and 2 chairs. The unit was clean and supplied with everything we needed. The beds were firm and comfortable. All of the bathrooms had soap and shampoo provided. The maid will come in daily, unless you use the "do not disturb" sign, and provide toilet paper, fresh towels and clean the unit. As far as the room is concerned, the one negative was that noise seems to echo throughout the unit. The resort grounds are vey nice and there are scenic views throughout. There are 2 pools, an upper and lower, the upper being heated and having a swim up bar, and a big hot tub. There were enough lounge chairs for the number of guests while we were there. Pool towels can be checked out at the main lobby desk. There is a covered restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and has pretty reasonable prices. Brick oven pizzas were also available most days. The staff is helpful and friendly. Waiters will remember you. Along one side of the resort is the golf country club. The resort and the golf course have nothing to do with each other although, according to the timeshare owners that I talked to and who bought a timeshare here in the late 90's, golf was a selling point and they get golf as part of their stay when they return each year. To golf in the morning is $169. The course still hasn't opened all holes due to the 30+ inches of rain last Sept. There is a restaurant at the course that many people go to from the resort. They also have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. When checking in, they put a $300 hold on our credit card (same with our friends), so we were able to charge all food and drink to our rooms. At the end of the stay they cancel the hold and then charge whatever you really wound up spending. Check-in (10 minutes) and checkout (5 min) were very easy. After check-in, a concierge will try to get you to commit to a presentation with several offers. As this was my friends deal, he bargained to get more for sitting through a presentation. We were along for the ride so we decided to do whatever he did. On the day we were supposed to do the presentation (and receive $150 cash, 15% discount off of resort bill, breakfast), a different person was in the lobby and gave my friend a different story making it sound as if he also worked for the resort. He offered a different deal, to which my friend bargained with him. Was told the resort (Diamante) they would (and did) give us a taxi ride to/and back was a sister resort to Los Cabos Golf Resort, which was not true and has no association. The time we gave was 2 1/2 hours, but we received a buffet breakfast, $200 cash per couple, and tickets to the Cabo Express 2 hr. fiesta night cruise from the Cabo San Lucas Marina. Walmart is a 20 minute walk taking the road into the resort. Saw someone walking through the fenced off area which probably takes 10 minutes off the walk. Also in the Walmart complex are some places to eat and shop. Downtown/the marina is about a 10 minute taxi ride($14.) Actually walked it one day, about 40 minutes one way. This resort is built for relaxing. There are no activities, although they do have a Monday night Mexican Buffet. If you're into walking, we felt very safe walking the roads that wind around the resort. Wouldn't hesitate to stay at this resort again.
