GREAT hotel to stay at near London. Steps from train station which can take you into the city, lots of great pubs, restaurants and grocery shops a short walk away. Staff was great. Food/drink were great and priced well. The entire area is nice, but cheaper than in London proper. Really loved our stay. Very highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was in the perfect location for us. It was close to Greenwich and the DLR. There were many restaurants in Greenwich from which to choose. The included buffet breakfast was excellent. The only downside was the price. It was a bit higher than I would have liked but, this is London. London is a pretty expensive place to visit.

I picked Novotel London Greenwich because they offered a continental breakfast and they were the pick up spot for our European Tour that we were leaving for on Monday 27/7/15. We met another person doing the same tour while we were on our way to London, now we reserved a room for two, but after meeting this other traveler we asked if there was any way to add them to our room, because they hadn't set up accommodations. The young lady at the desk initially told us that there was no way possible to add another person to our room, unless they were under 18. Mainly because their rooms were only set up to accommodate two guests. That was fine, we then inquired as to how we could upgrade to a three person room, since we were already paying $250 usd for a night how much more could it be. Well there were no 3 person rooms, but there was a suite available, cost would have been $360 for the night. At this point we all decided that we could just leave and find another place to sleep, seeing as we would be checking out of the hotel at 7:00 am. When the lady at the desk was confronted with this she informed us that she could check with her manager to see if there was anything that could be done. (why not check with a manager in the first place?) We went up to the room we had and waited to hear what options were available to us. Once in the room, we realized there was a couch in the room, that could very easily accommodate our newly acquired 3rd person. The front desk called up and asked us to come down and they would explain what was available. Their option was to charge an additional $100 usd to allow our 3rd person to use the couch. As this was the easiest option for us, we decided to take the offer. We return back to the room, unpack and plug in our devices throw our water bottles into the fridge and leave to have dinner. Upon returning back to our room we find that our water bottles aren't cold and our devices hadn't charged. Why? because none of the outlets, devices (fridge t.v. alarm) work in the room. At this point it was late and we had to be awake early, why try getting somebody up there to fix it or to move us to another, unavailable, room. As I said our Monday was starting early so we packed up and headed down to check out and eat before getting onto our bus. Once at check out we dealt with someone different then at check in, we tried to explain our frustration, but each of our questions was just met with a question from them. did you know the outlets and fridge in the room don't work? -- so the outlets don't work in your room? Customer service was an absolute joke, as was communication within the Hotel. I decided it would easier to not waste any energy dealing with the front desk and just go enjoy the breakfast. well, in order for us to eat breakfast before 7:00 we would have needed to sign up for early breakfast. I'm pretty sure my reservation included early breakfast, however this is where the language barrier came into play. (I was unaware there would be one being from the US and Being in London) Basically we had to go three rounds before being able to sit down and eat off of the buffet that was set up for the early breakfast, nobody was there - the food was just sitting. Regardless of what comes from this, I will find it very hard for me to keep all of my bad opinions of this hotel off of the travel blogs and forums.

It was ok for me because my businesses were right around Greenwich. The hotel is right next to the Greenwich station if that's your target location. I wouldn't stay at this location if I was travelling with family on holidays, a little too off from all the fun family stuff.

When I checked in, they said they had a quiet room for me – on the street side. I'm a train fan, so I said I'd rather have a room on the other side, not far from the Docklands rail line. That was probably a good move, because I'm sure there's some road noise all night long (although it's not a very busy thoroughfare). Meanwhile, there are no trains from shortly after midnight until dawn or so – and they're not loud, in any case.

Terrific experience. Convenient to rail station, Cutty Sark, Maritime Museum, and Naval Observatory. Staff was outstanding!

Good hotel but no A/C and no free wi-fi. Friendly staff. Good if you need to stay in Greenwich. Too far from central London.

The room had an extremely comfortable double bed and surprisingly comfortable fold-out couchbed. There was a shower and a deep tub and a separate toilet, which worked well for two females sharing this room. Although there were plenty of hand and bath towels, no washcloths were provided, so for American visitors, bring your own.
