Our family of 5 stayed here for a week in April 2018 and had a wonderful 10th floor room. The hotel, it seems is a regular Marriott for the first 8 floors and then floors 9 through 12 are set up as apartments. This worked for my family and our place had a nice spacious walk in area, a nice living area, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a working kitchen. You don't get daily maid service, but we knew this and if you need something, for example, more towels, the staff provides them, no problem. There are washer/dryers on floors 9, 11 and 12. The area is nice it is in the London financial district and was busier during the work week and quiet on the weekends. There is a underground station nearby (Canary Wharf) and we found traveling around London no issue at all. There is more than enough nearby restaurants if you wanted to stay close to home. Our kids are avid soccer fans, and if it matters, it seems as though all the professional soccer teams that are playing in the London area use this hotel prior to their games, so our boys met some of the players. The hotel has a nice lobby, nice bar area and a restaurant that we did not go to, but it appeared nice. We enjoyed our stay and would return if we head back to London.
My daughter suddenly fell uncomfortable at breakfast due to a bad cough and she puked all what she ate. But the hotel staff were so kind and at hand to make her comfortable. Not stopping there they called after an hour to check after her and offered support as well. This is so touching and made me comfortable to take care of her till my wife return after business meetings.
This is a well situated Marriott. It has an excellent executive lounge. Also, the steak restaurant is quite good. I have stayed here three times after first trying the Hilton. This is much better. Will stay again.
We stayed at the 2 bedroom apartment. We were 5 persons and they added an extra bed when requested. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. We arrived at 10am but our check in time was 3pm but they Immediately checked us in upon arrival which was very helpful as we had a long flight. Thanks Marriott!! Great management and great service at all levels. Keep it up. Highly recommend to stay. Nearby many restaurants. Great place to stay. Will definitely stay next time.
Nicely presented hotel. Great steak restaurant at the bottom. The exec lounge is well equipped BT not that big. Nice and spacious inside and good location. I will use the hotel again. Check out the bars outside
Excellent location at the heart of docklands. Easy access to city or central London.... but plenty to see and enjoy locally too. Great rooms, good value... get a room overlooking the quay. Parking nearby and lots to explore.
We found this hotel to have very friendly staff and the units are very spacious. The location is great, only 8 minutes by water taxi to the Tower Bridge. There are many great restaurants within walking distance and not too many tourists as this hotel is located in a business district. We had some trouble with our AC but Stuart from maintenance took no time to fix it. He was super friendly and gave us some good advise and what to see while visiting London. Elvis from guest services went out of his way to help us find our way around the city. All in all a great hotel, in a great location with great service.
We were traveling as a family for our first trip to London. We book this Marriott because it was convenient located next to the "Tube" (underground metro) next to Canary Wharf, major financial district and close to the Maritime British Museum. We received a very warm welcoming from the front desk, special thanks to Vera, Kormelia and Harold! Excelente hospitality skills! We were tired and we arrived early than the check in time, they were attentive to our needs and offers us water and alternative accommodation (lounge) until they were able to manage an early check in. Vera was very nice to give our daughter a small box with pass activities to make the time go fast. They manage to get us a room and we were able to early check-in. The hotel does not offer a pool, not a deal breaker since we did not care much for it. It has a fitness center, but we never used. The business center was nice and the staff nice as well! The lounge bar was nice too and the staff was great! I do not recommend this place with multiple kids under 8, since this is more of a business oriented hotel, but who know you can change that. There are a few nice restaurants and Pubs, this is a Marriott Apt. so some of the rooms offers a Kitchenette (which it was in our case) we safe good money with the breakfast and there was a grocery in a walking distance of the hotel by the Canary Square shopping Mall. We want to give many, many thank for the housekeeping staff! Thank you very! The Lay Family.
For what you get at the price you pay there are better options in central London. Price is reflective of location. Saying this the hotel is comfortable, I have stayed in over 100 hotels in London so I can be a bit picky as I know what's good and what's not. You won't be disappointed and you won't be overly impressed. Prices at the bar are extreme, again based on location. Right near DLR then one stop to Canary Wharf tube station. Day ticket on tube for zones 1-6 is about £12, pretty reasonable. Some lovely restaurants nearby.
Friendly staff, good food and what was an outstanding bar made this a good stay. These hotels all tend to be similar but this one is well run, clean and the room service is very good. Rooms are also comfortable and clean.
