Holiday Inn London Camden Lock

We booked this as part of a package and got an extremely low price, so didn’t feel too bothered to complain. The folks at the front desk are nice, but this is definitely a tourist, high-turnover type of place. Our room was well worn to say the least: dresser top drawer broken, safe didn’t have working batteries and had to call in to have it fixed, brown mold on shower curtain, white water stains on bathroom door, mildew dark in the sink drain, gum on the carpet, heavy scratches on the wardrobe door. I would put this all on management. For how quickly rooms are turning over, the cleaning staff have to be exhausted. Management should institute more frequent room checks for deep cleaning and repairs.

Very clean, friendly hotel. A stone's throw from the madness of Camden Town or a 5 minute walk to the tranquil surroundings of Primrose Hill. You can’t get more central than this place. A very tasty breakfast too

I'll start by confessing that London has never appealed to me as I've always thought of it as being unfriendly and overcrowded. However, this place won me over and proved me wrong. Beds are super comfy (I took note of the brand of mattress for future reference) and staff are both friendly, professional and helpful. There's many cafes and restaurants nearby, plus the awesome Cambden market with its food stalls. Other parts of London are also easy to access from here and a taxi to Paddington station costs about £13. I could have easily spent more time here to explore what's in the area and it will definitely be my future go to place when staying in London. :)

Family of 4 (2 teenagers). Booked a family room (2 double beds) via lastminute.com as a ‘secret’ hotel deal. Got the room when we arrived at 10.30am as it was ready, really helpful pleasant staff on reception. Room was clean, warm and well equipped...even a phone you can take out and about with you with free 4g/calls and lots of local info on. On request they provided us with an additional duvet so the children had one each. We had breakfast which was buffet style and nice, not sure the staff there enjoyed their jobs that much though, not much smiling. Free luggage storage for the day was really useful after we had checked out. Location was great for Camden Lock, just over a little bridge, and only a 5/10 minute walk to the tube station. We would use the hotel again.

We were on the 4th floor, opened the door to 2 twin double beds which were very comfortable. Fabulous pillows for a great sleep. Room was very clean and well appointed. Only minor grumble, my usual no makeup mirror. And the shower over the bath is not my favourite, but minor issues I guess. We didn't have a view but we were only there for one night. The room was a vit too hot but we opened the window and it was nice and cool when we got back. Only grumble was awoken during the night to cigarette smoke which made me cough (I have asthma) otherwise a great room would stay again

My daughter and I booked to stay at the Holiday Inn as we had tickets to the HIM Gig at the Roundhouse and I had just had with hip replacement, so we decided to stay in London overnight. We were greeted by really friendly Reception staff, we were given a choice of twin or double beds. The room was spotless, there was tea and coffee making facilities, plenty of toiletries and towels. The beds were so comfortable, with a choice of pillows. We had breakfast booked, which was absolutely lovely. There was plenty of choice, full English, pastries, cheese and meats, cereals and more. When we checked out the lady on reception booked a taxi for us. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Now had many stays at the Holiday Inn Camden. Each time the hotel has hit expectations, whether a business trip, fun weekend or family break....Room are spacious and well appointed, staff are friendly and helpful, but above all location is exceptional. Looking forward to many more stays!

Stayed for one night, as a birthday treat for my 16 year old son. The staff were lovely and the rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. We were given a voucher for two complimentary drinks too! Things went a bit wrong, when a group of blokes came back to their room next door at 3.40am......they were very drunk and very loud. We left it for a bit, to see if they would just fall asleep, but after half an hour, I called reception to complain. They came up immediately and asked the group to keep the noise down, which they did, for about ten minutes. This carried on until about 5.30am, when it all went quiet, then they were up and just as loud at 8.30am, in time for breakfast. Needless to say, we were absolutely shattered and it spoiled our second day.......in fairness to the guys, it was only festive high spirits, but the walls are so thin, they may as well have been in our room. Very tiring trip.

Stayed here for one night for a concert. It's a few minutes' walk from Camden Town tube and is easy to find (and about 10 mins on foot from the Roundhouse). It's worth paying the extra to get a room with a view over Camden Lock, although there was some residual noise at night. We paid about £150 for a lock view with breakfast, Room was well fitted out - not sure of the need for the desk/Alan Sugar type work chair though! Most of the staff on the front desk and at breakfast were eastern Europeans, all very friendly and efficient. We had a really nice stay here, thank you,

Great hotel at a great price. It's right near Camden Lock & shops and the tube station. I flew on the overnight flight and was able to check in early and take a nap. Staff was on top of everything all weekend and the hotel is well maintained. There is a little bar and coffee shop in the lobby which is convenient. I would definitely stay here again.
