This hotel is situated in the heart of Camden overlooking the lock and across the canal from the fabulous market. It was clean with friendly with very helpful staff. Would definitely return despite the fact that it's quite expensive.

Our family had 3 rooms for 6-8 days in late July-ea Aug. 2 penthouse rooms and a family room. The penthouse rooms are worth a bit more expense if you can afford them -- we enjoyed the view and terrace immensely! The staff were so friendly and helpful. We really appreciated their friendly attitude and assistance in many matters. Another big perk of this hotel is the kid-friendly atmosphere. Our kids were thrilled to receive wrist bands identifying them as VIK's (very important kids) for which they could use to redeem treats! Also, kids under 12 eat free. Stepping out into the Camden Markets was also a great deal of fun for kids and adults alike. We used the nearby tube and car service (recommended by staff) to explore London. Terrific stay, terrific trip!

A great hotel with a great location overlooking Camden Lock a less than a minute to walk to Camden markets and the High Street. 5 minutes away from Camden underground station means it is ideally located to access central London in less than 15 minutes. The staff are well trained, efficient and friendly with some lovely touches on arrival such as complimentary fruit and water. IHG Rewards club initiatives are always followed including upgrades. Hotel is very clean throughout and the service and food in the bar are excellent. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Stayed in a family room with husband and 2 children. The room was ok beds very comfy bathroom clean. Carpets were bit gruby looking. The reception staff were really friendly my children especially enjoyed their 3 wishes which was a really lovely touch !! Breakfast was great ! Would stay again, easy access to tube !!

I stayed at this hotel with friends for a 'couples weekend' and it didn't disappoint. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to look after us. The rooms were lovely and had everything we needed. We will definately return. Special shout out to Melissa and her colleague whose name escapes me - sorry!

My husband and I stayed here with our 13 year old son for a couple of days recently and found it to be a perfect choice for sightseeing in London. We wanted somewhere offering easy access around the city and being only 2 stops from Euston was ideal. The surrounding area of Camden Lock is full of energy and vibrancy with all sorts of eclectic shops and stalls, a great selection of eateries from fabulous street food through to upmarket restaurants, and friendly bars offering live music. Our son absolutely loved it. The hotel was great value for money providing a spacious room with great air conditioning, tea and coffee, hairdryer and an iron, ironing board and trouser press. Breakfast was included and was fantastic, offering a great range of high quality food and even a pancake station. The decor around the hotel is funky and modern and perfect for kids. Best of all though, and the reason for my top rating, was the customer service. Every single member of staff was exceptional. On arrival the only room available was on the 1st floor and the receptionist wanted to give us a quieter room on a higher floor. This meant a short wait so she arranged for us all to have free drinks in the bar while we waited. She didn't need to do this but, having just travelled that morning from central Paris we really appreciated the large glasses of wine! Next the two ladies serving in the bar. Both were charming but the young, dark haired English lady was one of the warmest, friendliest people I have met. Finally at breakfast was a blonde lady, perhaps Eastern European, who went out of her way to look after us, making fresh pancakes for my son, even though we were late and breakfast was nearly over. The difference that these people made to our stay was immeasurable and was the main reason Imwill certainly stay at this hotel again, and have recommended it widely to friends and family.

The hotel is well located in Camden and easy to get to via public transport being less than 5 minutes walk from the main Tube station. It is just off the main drag as well and has nice views overlooking the lock so quite near the stables market. We stayed for 5 nights room, there are many options for breakfast nearby. The rooms were quiet and reasonably clean. The staff were okay. Our experience was soured though when we returned from exploring London on our 2nd day to discover the bathroom vanity area and floor was covered with smelly water (fish smell meant i had to throw away an Estee lauder makeup bag that I had been given as a gift). We were moved to a lower grade room for that night as no rooms were available in our chosen category and £50 was knocked off our total bill and we had the larger room again for our last 2 nights. The management were apologetic when I reviewed the hotel on their own site after our was unfortunate but it did ruin the experience of staying in the hotel. I might consider a return stay if we specifically wanted to stay in Camden but this is not likely. The area of Camden would appeal to me when I was 20 but as I get older I prefer a less gritty and more central location!

Funky and fun local right next to camden lock and historic bohemian market. Attentive international staff who all made a fuss of my children. Very kid friendly - the VIK (very important kid) bands were a great touch. We had a family room (without a view) and it was comfortable and spacious enough for the four of us. No complaints.

Stayed here with my family that includes two teenagers. We got a family room, but that was still very small and too tight for four people. It did offer in-room coffee and tea plus a safe and plenty of closet storage. There is a good space to hang out in the lobby, along with a Starbucks. We bought the breakfast vouchers and it was a decent breakfast buffet with plenty of seating. It featured a moderate offering of hot and cold dishes, including pancakes, eggs and sausages. The hotel staff was very helpful and professional and the hotel was clean and tidy. Even though it was very lively outside, the hotel itself was very quiet. I'd not stay here again, but not because of the hotel. The Camden area is fine, but not my favorite part of London. It's a great place if you are looking for an alternate and gritty vibe, but to us it felt dirty and run-down. The worst was the crowds, which made it very unpleasant to walk down the street. Again, if you're into hanging out in a popular place packed with shops, bars and people, this might be perfect for you. We'd have preferred a more low-key part of London. If you know that Camden is your cup of tea (so to speak), then this is a fine choice for a hotel. Nothing fancy, but a good, basic, reliable choice that will likely result in a pleasant stay.
