the hotel is under construction,it would have been nice if someone mentioned this to us they handed us a letter when we checked in and when we got to our room we were greeted by the sound of jackhammering !! it was so noisy, they said the work from 9 tp 5 but at 630 am we could hear the workers, the room we were in was so old the shower didn't work right and neither did the air conditioning we were so disappointed we asked for a newer room and they were booked, we paid a lot for this room and had i know i would never have booked!!!

Why stay here? Sorry casino. Room HORRIBLE. Casino may as well be at the Nugget. Over priced. Buffet was good one day of the 4 there, other day food was old. Seriously this was a motel 6 room at a 5 star price. Don't stay. Pay the extra 40 bucks and go to the MGM.

Would have been nice to know about the construction inside the hotel, specifically the floor above us. All of the drilling over our heads on top of the outside construction.

This hotel seem like it was really nice maybe 15 years ago. The rooms seem really old and out dated wont never stay here again.

This was my first stay at the Monte Carlo. I had high hopes, but after getting in to my room was immediately disappointed. The room lacked basic modern amenities like a coffee maker, pay per view options, or even any movie channels. Basic cable was the only thing on tv. The furniture in the room had clearly seen better days, as there were visible scuffs, scratches, and gouges on virtually every surface. Lastly, for the room itself, there was construction going on nearby and I very quickly could not ignore the drilling and cutting going on nearby. As for the resort itself, I think you would be hard pressed to justify the $30 daily resort fee. Yes, we did have access to the MGM and Mandalay Bay pool facilities, but having to either take a shuttle or walk a few blocks down the strip with all of your pool gear is a bit of an inconvenience.

no pool no poker room we where awaken by jackhammer noise by 8:00 am every morning

There was construction going in outside the hotel even through the night. I could hear the backup/reverse beeping from the equipment the crew was using, that is until I turned the tv on to help drown the noise as I slept. A poor trade off really.

Hotel is going under renovation so no facilities are working, and they still charge you 40$ resort fee per day. When I ask the Staff about it, no one knows what to respond. Add that to construction, noise, and renovations going on since 7 am, It's better to stay at any other hotel until they complete the renovations.

Only reasons I booked the hotel were for the price and we could use MGM and Mandalay Bay's pools which were excellent.

The line to check in was about an hour, my bathtub was leaking and when I showered, the water was stuck up to my ankles. Then there was construction that woke me up at 8am. Sounded like a drill next to my window.

Decent facility, decent staff, decent room, decent food at a decent rate. Pool was under construction.....VERY LOUD construction, that is. #teamnosleep.

We liked the seating outside the hotel us night and have a drink or something to munch on . We also liked how we were able to share the beach at Mandalal bay .

Construction going, loud very early in the morning, the bed also had stains when we came in, the hotel room just looks old.

Construction noise starts early and is LOUD. Staff could care less and says no noise on weekend. lots of loud noise on the weekend. Hotel is in poor conditions looks like they are in the middle of renovation. Unless the price is dirt cheap avoid. watch out for the resort charges they are also very high.

Poor service, unfriendly staff, uncleaned rooms, old, smelly, outdated casino facilities, dirty food court, tin walls (you could hear next door gust clearly), dirty windows, dust all over, loud nose/vibration from construction.

If you're not worried about a fancy room, go for it: though it was clean. Hotel pool was being renovated which was terrible.

If you like waking up to the sounds of remodeling construction in the rooms above you every morning, bathing in a shower with black mold, having mysterious red stains on the walls and having no washcloths then look no further! We called and asked for more towels and washcloths and were told they were out and waiting on a delivery. I had to go to the front desk two times to get parking corrected to only 3 days. Even after that, they still charged me for an extra day if parking. Oh, and enjoy paying the $35 daily resort fee when the pool is closed and you have to take a shuttle or walk quite a bit to enjoy a pool at a different hotel!

Picked partly because traveling with kids and the pool sounded good. On check-in found out pool is closed for renovation. Room very average Beds felt cheap/basic Buffet was terrible, decent variety but food varied from OK to bad. You'd do better in their food court.

First the pool is under maintenance ( they did offer use of neighboring pools) and will be great when complete yet 117 degree heat was unbearable, I has to make new reservations down the street to a location with easier pool access. The amenities in the lounge are typically good yet was lacking now a days and there is no longer wine service. The rooms are still very nice and spacious. I would still recommend the rooms when pool is in service.

We were out late return to the room late & hope able to sleep in the next morning at about 8:30am we heard banging so loud. It turns out there were contruction work banging on the wall. We were at the 19 floor. Called front desk report were on hold forever. Went to front desk complain nothing front desk can do for us. Finally at the end if the day they txt me said room is ready if we want to move. Its too late cuz we have kids with families to move everything to another room.
