Really nice room & service
Upon arrival was informed by manager that credit card hadn't processed correctly so no room was available even though Orbitz charged my card and thru email told me all was well.
We just wanted a basic clean room, and that's just what we found. The owners are paying attention to detail.
Room was blah, fridge was defrosted ,turned off, wirh a wet towel in it.. Cabinets were ols and broken ... Smelled like wet dog
When we booked the 2 rooms, we specifically booked 2 rooms adjoined, and was told there was no need to re-confirm our reservation. When we arrived they did not have adjoining rooms, but we could get two rooms close together, not at the price we booked for at $50 a room, but for $60 a room. We excepted this, but was not happy!!! When we tried to get in the rooms, one of the cards would not permit us to get in, so we went back down to the lobby and told the desk clerk, and she recommended we push harder on the door, so we did. Someone in the room, screams at us that this room is occupied!!!! We go back down to the lobby and tell the desk clerk, and she looks at us like we are crazy, and says are you sure???? When we assured her there was someone in the room, she gives us another room to try, which was on the other side of the other room we booked that was suppose to be adjoined! We get into that room and it completely stunk of cigarette smoke ughhhhhhhhhhh, Specifically asked for 2 non-smoking adjoining rooms. The hotel, area around, and the people in the hotel made our family feel uncomfortable. Some woman from the hotel came up to our car and told us she was being sexually harassed by some people at the hotel. She was high on something???? We just wanted to get out of there, but we were so tired and needed a nights sleep.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room and premises appeared clean, the bathroom was clean everything was very good EXCEPT I got between 2 and 3 dozen bed bug bites. (Got pictures) I think it was the pillow. Staff volunteered to move me to another room, but the damage was done after I went to sleep, about 11:00 and woke up at 1:00 or so. I turned in the pillows and got other ones and it seemed better. But I was swollen and itched for several days and was lethargic for a week. My son in the other bed and my daughter and her two children in the next room had no problems. Don't know what could be done to prevent this problem.
When I checked in to my room the lady at the counter said you reserved a King but you are getting a Queen. When I got to my room it smelled really bad and the sheets were dirty on both beds. I had to force them to give me a new room. In the new room the shower was broken, the looking hole in the front door was missing and all they had was a napkin taped over it and I killed a cockroach. I have been to alot of inexpensive hotels in the area that are friendly and actually clean the rooms. I will never go back!
There was nothing good about this hotel. The door wouldn't close all the way, so you could see outside through the crack. Not one, but both of the lamps in the room were broken. There were several cigarette burns on the bedspread (of the non-smoking room). Overall the room was filthy and the manager was rude. Avoid this place at all costs!
The check-in was a special event as the host worked to get me a room with better accommodations. Activities abound in this area and can be reached readily from this convenient location. The natural beauty can be seen from this location with little effort. I plan to stay here repeatedly.
For the money it was a decent place to stay. It is very convenient for places to eat and shop. Just right off the interstate as well. We would stay again.
Good employees, nice, clean, friendly. An OK continental AM bar.
The room was ok.Nothing great. The bed was comfy, the room didnt smell so it was ok. The breakfast was a joke. The person at the desk was hard to understand. Might and might not stay there again, not sure
