Holiday Inn Knoxville Downtown

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

The Holiday Inn is very conveniently located and within walking distance to the University and Downtown. We have stayed here on a number of occasions over the past two months and each time have been very pleased with the friendliness of the staff.

Nice place. Close to everything you'd want to do in Knoxville.

Had to go to Knoxville for an early appointment. Stayed at the Holiday Inn. Very nice staff and clean room. My stay was brief, so I didn't get to enjoy the area. The only thing that really stuck out was the bed. It seemed as if was sinking in the middle or leaning to one side, so it made it difficult to get comfortable.

I participated in the Senior Adult Spelling Bee at the Knoxville Convention Center. Since this was my first trip to the city, I chose this hotel right across the street. Close to Market Square, I did not need my car for sightseeing and dining. The registration staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and accomadating. The room lacked a microwave and mini fridge and come to find out, there is only one microwave in the whole hotel. The night I stayed was a Sunday night and the noise from the rooms next door was terrible, as if there were paper thin walls. My room was on the 4th floor and you could hear the street traffic perfectly. The topper for me was when at about midnight the dog next door began barking. That is when I requested to be moved to another room. So if you dont mind staying up half the night then this is a nice hotel, but if you need a good night's sleep before an early start to a busy day, then I would go elsewhere.

Great hotel/location. Woman at the front desk wasn't so polite, but over all visit awesome!

This recently renovated hotel was full of staff begging to make our stay more enjoyable. That paired with a small but nice indoor pool, small fitness center, in-house convenience store, expensive, but nice restaurant and lounge (breakfast for 2 was over $30.00) and a killer location (Walk right out the door into the World Fair Park) makes this a great place to stay. The only draw back and it was a big one, was the bed. We stayed in room 315 which was a single king and the mattress was terrible. Both mornings there we each woke up with a painful back ache. While I should have complained about the bed and ask to be moved I figured all of the bed's would be the same. I would have given this location and overall 5 if it wasn't for the bed and a good night's sleep for us is major. If fact it is so major that I probably would not book at this hotel again until they fix the problem. What a shame, because they have everything else right!

Excellent stay, Friendly customer service and great dinner recommendation! We even extended our stay a second night!

Great staff. Clean comfortable rooms this location is great. Free bottled water at check in

My friends and I were in town for our other friends' wedding. We didn't realize that Knoxville has about three total private taxis to service the entire city. So, we were stuck waiting for a taxi for two hours. The hotel staff was great and ended up taking us in a shuttle van, free of charge, to the reception!

Wow! I'd heard that the Holiday Inn World's Fair Site had undergone a renovation and they did a terrific job! Beautiful lobby and lovely, comfy room. Very pleasant front desk personnel. It was even better since I was able to pay for half of it with Orbucks! Nice perk for a last minute rendezvous!

Room was very nice and comfortable. The staff was very helpful, recommended a good restaurant and suggested we take the hotel shuttle bus. Since it was a very cold night we welcomed the free ride. The hotel is very convenient to Market Square for shopping and/or dining. Would stay again.

Within walk-able distance to campus and Market Place. Very nice for the price.

No problems other than the charge for Internet service. We carry our own MiFi for just this reason. Wish Holiday Inn would catch up with the Hilltons and offer free WiFi to reward members.

Clean room. Extremely nice staff. Restraunt in lobby was great also. Good place to stay for game day

Location was great. We could walk to the University and also to the many good downtown restaurants. The Vol trolley (free) was outside the door as well as free hotel shuttle service if needed. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and the staff was helpful and friendly. This was my third trip to Knoxville, but the first at this hotel. If in Knoxville again, this would be my first choice.

Room service was terrible, we ordered room service 3 times and in those 3 times once the food was cold and the 2nd time they forgot half of the food. the beds were fine but the pillows were terrible not comfortable at all. The area was great center of all things , market square was great , food and shopping as well as trails to follow

Wedding weekend; hotel very convenient to Worlds Fair Park, and a short walk from Market. Room was fine (wish it had a refrigerator).

I've stayed here lots of times. This is just a great, professional hotel. Went for UT gameday and everything was perfect as usual.

Location is the best feature of this hotel! Staff was great!
