The only thing that was negative was the breakfast. I was disappointed with the scrambled eggs... I don't think they use real eggs. Must be some sort of frozen product. Also there was no fruit or yogurt. everything else was fine. The staff was friendly and it was right off the highway.
Hotel was very clean and the staff attentive to my needs
1. free breakfast but limited. Only hard boiled eggs (non scrambled). Only apples (no choice in fruit). Waffles (but not whole wheat bread). Ok but not special. 2. three pieces of equipment in gym, all need repairs. No weights. 3. easy access to highway
Recently updated and good location. Need to work on the beds. Ours was soft and wife felt it every time I moved.
The gal that checked us in insisted on taking my credit card although we had prepaid. It is NOT this hotel group's policy to do so. (As I was told by hotel staff for use in Orbitz pre-pays.) Before we had arrived, the afternoon staffer had enrolled me in the Holiday Inn preferred points program -- something I neither wanted nor requested. Upon being told that I didn't want it, she replied, "Well it's too late now because you're in it." At 4:30 a.m. in the morning, new, very noisy (singing) neighbors checked into the room next to ours. Nobody slept after that. Not long after, I took our express check out notice to the desk. We had a balance due even though we were prepaid through Orbitz. It showed that I lived in Chicago and used a MasterCard. I do neither. It took the day desk manager to straighten the mess out which took until she clocked in at 7:00 a.m. or so. In the mean time, I was counseled to call my credit card company and tell them that my card might have been compromised. Very inconvenient as our trip was only about 2/3 done. I am still waiting for my replacement card. In short: 1.) the afternoon staffer was a less than optimal emplployee 2.) the beds were soft, the room nice 3.) there was little done to check that noisy, new guests were not placed next to already existing guests 4.) the morning staff worked like dogs to clean up the mess. 5.) the continental breakfast wasn't bad.
