Houston Marriott North

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Middle-aged Marriot with unenthusiastic staff. Bedding too soft for my taste, in room coffee and fridge pleasant. $15/night internet is abusive for an airport hotel. Stayed for days, and disappointed with staff's lack of engagement, shuttle van driver to the airport was of the "say the same thing louder over and over if they don't understand" variety, which, as an international airport hotel was pretty poor behavior. The Hilton staff four blocks away seemed better on all counts.

I was in Houston for a meeting and a single night stay. The Houston Marriott North was an excellent choice and worked out nicely for our entire business group.

It was a nice hotel however I could hear the people next door having sex and I was in a room with my children.... Needless to say it was uncomfortable....the staff was pretty accommodating though. They switched our rooms ( although the room was smaller :/...)

Nice, clean place to stay before heading to Bush International. Only 10 minutes to the airport. Decent food, clean rooms...

My hotel experience was a good one! The staff was friendly and the room was nice.

This hotel has good access to the tollway. The restaurant/bar area is very open and inviting and would be great for a business traveler that doesn't want to go out in the evening.

We could not get their shuttle at the airport arriving around midnight and realized that the hotel is several miles away after we took a cab. Booking was misleading as this an airport hotel, it is just close to the airport than downtown hotels. By the way there is another Marriot hotel at the airport which did not show during my search while booking. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was not big but was very clean and beds were very comfortable. AC is still the chunky wall/radiator unit so it is noisy even if it is off somehow. Our worst experience was the breakfast. It took them a good 25-30 minutes to bring it even if they took the children's order far ahead of time. Their buffet is not much of a buffet either. The waiter was also very rude. So either skip breakfast or prepare yourself to spend another half an hour. But hotel itself is nice and clean and the room does not get much of the highway noise.

THIS WEBSITEDOES NOT COMMUNICATE OR SPECIFY WITH THE HOTELS IF YOU NEED A DOUBLE OR SINGLE BEDS. ONE OF THE ROOMS WE STAYED IN ENDED UP BEING A HANDICAPPED ROOM THE HOTEL SUGGESTED WE BOOK DIRECTLY WITH THEM-WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

very updated & good food at the restaurant, staff very friendly

Kept hearing about how it was located in a high crime neighborhood by several of our friends that live in the same city. We felt safe in the hotel as you had to have a key to even access the elevator to our room. The hotel channel on the tv in our room repeatedly told us to only enter through the front door and to only stay in lit areas of the parking lot. Made us wonder what has happened there in the past...

Needed a hotel to stay overnight before flying back home. Hotel was close to the airport and price was good too.

Consistent - not outstanding. Above average experience.

Great breakfast, sparkling clean room, excellent decor, extremely attentive staff -- you will not be disappointed in this hotel.

We were in Houston to attend a wedding. We chose the hotel because of proximity to wedding venues. The signage from the airport was horrible, and the lobby area was being remodelled, so we had to use service elevators. But the staff, the pool, and the room were all better than average.

Room was redone and OK, but beds were small and the second day they did not replenish the towels at all. By the time I noticed (late in evening) it was too late to get more. A problem with three people and one leftover bath towel and one hand towel.

The hotel was great. It is going thru renovations but I was not disturbed.

your hotel was great.

Perfect location to restaurants, shopping mall, and fun things to do.

No complaints for the price I paid, but its hard to believe this is considered a 4 star hotel. This Marriott is older and currently undergoing renovation now (Dec. 2010) but it was not an issue. Furnishings were nice and I would consider the room small but cozy. Down comforter and pillows, Bath and Bodyworks soaps, but a dated tube TV. Internet is $12.99 per night and PPV movies were also $12.99.

We just basically rested and took in the areas attraction that we like the Movie Tavern which features dinner, movie and drinks if you like!
