Novotel Southampton

The Novotel is a modern property, close to shopping and across the street from the train station. Very convenient for our stay before embarking on our Atlantic crossing. The breakfast offers good choices of both hot and cold foods. Our room had a unique feature: The toilet was separate from the shower/bath/sink. There's a free internet terminal in the lobby which was convenient.

Very friendly staff. Big rooms. Clean pool and sauna. But most important is 3 min walk from dock 10 cruise ship terminal 5 min walk from train station.

Just seemed the hotel needed a thorough cleaning and refurbishing. Staff was very pleasant and helpful which is the best asset of hotel. Location good.

Nice clean hotel, exceptional location (for me), only a couple minutes walk from Southampton Central train station and the MCA HQ.

Very helpful staff. Room was fine but the internet was an extra charge.

Booked the Hotel as the embarkation point for a cruise.

The staff at the Novotel are very gracious and helpful, and the accommodations quite nice. It was unseasonably warm for early May, and while it was impossible for the desk staff to fire up the air conditioning (I guess they have it), they did bring us up a fan, very quickly. The hotel is an easy walk from the train station, even pulling a bag. It CAN be walked from the port, as well. Breakfast was included in our first stay, and it was quite nice. It was not included in our second stay, and it was not quite good enough that we were willing to pay over 13 pounds @ for it. MacDonald's and TGI Friday's are almost in the parking lot, and plenty of shopping is nearby. A very good place to stay pre- or post-cruise.

Wonderful, clean room, excelent restaurant for dinner and breakfast! A real bargain.

very convenient for simple overnight stay, clean and welcoming.

I cruise a lot out of Southampton and have stayed regularly at this hotel. Nothing really fancy about it, but it's always clean, has comfortable beds and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to the passenger terminals in Southampton and even within walking distance from the train station and the shopping mall in Southampton.
