This is our second time to this hotel and we were very happy with the whole experience. The people at the desk when we were checking in were both pleasant and friendly. They helped us and offered us an extra 100 points, promotion I guess for the day. Our check in time only took a few minutes. The room was clean, the beds are very comfortable and make for a perfect sleep. Bathroom was clean and spotless. The only negative about the whole stay would be that the privacy lock was broken, this is not the door lock but the one higher up on the door that allows you to open the door without opening the door all the way, it was broken. Also the windows to the outside were very dirty, but how much time do you stand at the window looking out, not much. Breakfast was good, there was no one there, the hotel was actually pretty empty, we were there during the very good weather. Food was fresh and hotel and quite tasty. I would recommend this hotel anytime and we will be staying there again whenever we go to Fargo. The pool looked very inviting, we did not use it as we did not bring any swimsuits, but will for sure next time.
Staff is great but the room/rooms were horrible. I checked in at 9:00pm. They put me in the first room 117. It smelled so bad of cigarette smoke. I tried to spray my perfume but it didn't work. I went to the front desk and asked for an air freshener. She said she could switch me suites and I said I didn't want to be a bother but she said it wasn't a problem. I checked into the new room, 115. This room smelled musty, the curtain was broken, the lamp was broken. There was no hair dryer but there was the hardware for it. Lol. I stayed the night as i just drove 8 hours but checked out in the morning. DO NOT stay here if you're looking for quality. I will submit pictures.
I have stayed here before with no issues HOWEVER this time was different. I called and made a phone reservation a week prior as it was Labour Day weekend and I wanted to make sure we had a place to stay. Got my confirmation number and everything. When we checked in, they said I had no reservation and when my confirmation number was put in, they said I didn't show for my August date, the date I made the reservation. Shika, the lady at the desk was very helpful and found a room with the special requests I had ie: main floor and with a fridge. I am sorry I didn't get the other gals name that went looking for a fridge for us. Just lucky that there was a room available. Was pretty upset that someone goofed this up. The manager was away for the whole long weekend and was unable to bring this to her attention. The room was fine, and clean. Did see a couple bugs in the bathroom, but that was it. Breakfast was good and hot. Maybe it was an off weekend for them. Not sure I would stay there again. Guess we will see.
This hotel was highly disappointing! We checked in at 4:00pm, an hour after check-in time. The door to our room was open, which was weird. I've never encountered that before anywhere. There were no towels in the bathroom, not even a washcloth! Went down to the front desk and they said they'd call. Never did. Went out for supper, when we came back we still had to ask for towels! And we only got two bath towels when we clearly reserved for three. Thats all they had! No pool towels either....so try keeping a child from being upset that the one reward for hours of road travel is not available! How are we to dry off, dry our hands, bath if needed. Pulled out the sofa bed for our daughter and there were no linens prepared or even on the shelf! (There was however a newspaper from April 28th! This did nothing to instill faith in cleanliness!) I can make a bed, thats no problem. But when we clearly reserved for three people and no linens in the room?! Had to go down and get linens and forgot to specifically ask for a blanket....seriously Needless to say my Husband took the sofa bed because my daughter was just so upset by the first few hours of our experience here. The WIFI was terrible as well, patchy and slow. I figured this hotel would be on par with a Super 8 or the like, this hotel wasn't even in that class. Spend wisely, splurge on the Super8!
Our stay started off with getting a room with a door that didnt lock. We only found this out after dropping our luggage in the room and going right out. When we returned the door was ajar. When we brought this to their attention they didnt seem shocked!! They moved us from a King suite to a standard Queen room. This rooms toilet didnt work properly but of course that was our last option. At this point we were furious but because we booked through a service we had to deal with them. We were offered a third room for our second day. This final room was actually what we ordered and the only issue was the smoke that came through the bathroom vent. The free breakfast included was a complete joke. The first morning when it was booked solid we showed up right in the middle at 9 AM. There was absolutely nothing available. We were told the eggs were being prepared but after waiting 40 minutes they still werent. There was no milk for cereal. No butter or margarine for toast or waffles. No cream for coffee. We have stayed at several places that provide breakfast and you always see at least one person working to fill the items. Here no one came out in 40 minutes. It was like they had given up completely.
Checked in at 3pm. Staff was great. Room seemed pretty clean. Everything was in order. I left for 4 hours to see the grandkids and when I returned someone had been in the room and took a shower. The towel was hung over the shower curtain and was soaking wet. There was a half used bar of soap in the shower and the shower was still wet. It was an oversized towel not one supplied by the motel. None of that was there when I checked in. I spoke to the front desk and she said she would get ahold of the manager but I never heard back. I was traveling alone so didn't bother me to much but if my wife (who is a motel GM in another city) had been along there would have been some harsh words. This situation left me skeptical about this property. I would put it low on my list of places to stay in Fargo. We travel there about once a month.
This EconoLodge has very comfortable beds, nice and plush. The room itself is not bad for the price you pay for it. It is clean for the most part. There were a few stains on the bed spread and sheets. The toilet and the shower were the areas that were the least pleasing, dirty toilet and hair in the shower. Sarah at the front desk is wonderful. Breakfast was finished and nothing left but she offered to bring out some more for us. We told her about the things wrong with the room and she apologized and said that the manager would be getting in touch with us to offer us some sort of a rebate for the way the room was. One of the biggest things I did notice was how dirty the outside of the hotel is. Cigarette butts everywhere, trash blowing around, there should be someone going around to pickup this everyday. Overall we would stay here again.
We stayed here in Oct 2016 for a girls get away /shopping trip !! Very handy , clean , never a problem finding parking & well lit parking lot Stayed on main floor as stairs would be an issue for us. Will be staying here again for sure!! Reasonably priced also
We came to check in and the hotel was full but right at that moment someone canceled. We were working with Jacala Short the GM and she took wonderful care of us and went over and above to get us settled into a room. Had a few bugs to work out but it was minor and the stay was very pleasant. Thanks Jacala for the Great Stay, we really appreciated it!
I went to the front desk to see if I could get a late checkout. My motor blew on my vehicle just outside of Econo Lodge West so with the bitter cold we get a room there last night. Today, Jacala Short was the GM on duty and couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful.
