Arrived at 2:30 , room ready ,but no access till 3:000. Booked 4 nights with Expedia in Canada. Given a large suite overlooking the parking area,in the back .This hotel is on a cliff overlooking spectacular views.But our rate did not qualify for a view.???Later speaking to other guests ,they were on. 3 night stay that included breakfast (excellent) and one evening meal. .We complained, first told this deal was posted if you booked directly with hotel??Not possible from Canada. After much waiting speaking to staff who were not helpful,we reached the Manager.He arranged for breakfast and a meal .on our last two nights. A beautiful old hotel,once a very grand place, that hosted royalty,and nobility.

First impressions are not good as the hotel sign is missing the H in The Imperial. The hotel looks very shabby from the outside but once inside the foyer the grandeur of the hotel is apparent. The insider the hotel is clean and well kept. The check in staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room, on the second floor, was large, well appointed with a very comfortable king size bed. The room was clean as was the bathroom, the balcony could have been cleaner. The view from the balcony was wonderful. The breakfast was excellent with a very good choice of hot and cold food which was continually being restocked.

Lovely 4 night break.

Check in was slow and tedious. But got there eventually. Room as expected. Large, perfect balcony bay view. Clean and fresh. Good bathroom. Nice robes and slippers. Staff friendly and attentive. In all agreat break. Food good too.

When we first walked into our room we were delighted to see such a lovely view, but this was spoiled by the extremely dirty windows. We understand this was partly due to the fact it was the end of the summer season, plus repair work going on. The room was comfortable with plenty of storage space. There was an excellent selection for breakfast, all fresh and tasty. We enjoyed the pool and the garden. The outdoor car park wasn't the easiest to negotiate. Altogether we had a lovely week staying in The Imperial.
