Hyatt Regency McCormick Place

Chicago auto show stay

I chose the Hyatt because of 4 things. 1. The rate was a great value. 2. Considering the amount other hotels were charging for the parking, the combined price of the room and parking made the price a bargain. 3. This is a 4 star hotel and the quality of the room was excellent. 4. The hotel is attached to the convention center and the convenience of not having to drive to the auto show was very relaxing. The hotel put a notice under the door the evening before check out that there was a large number of check outs the next morning and to please observe the 12:00 check out time and use online or in room check out if possible. Bit, they let you know on this notice to hold onto your room key and if parked in the garage, you could remain parked there at no additional charge until 8:00pm. This worked out great for me as I didn't have to worry about moving my car until I left Chicago to head home. Excellent stay.

Great views, great location, easy stay

My 8 year old daughter and I had a quick one night stay here, and found the whole experience clean, easy, and delightful. The views from our room were fantastic! The location was perfect and very convenient for us. My daughter loved it, and we had a great stay.

Extended Stay America - Chicago - O'Hare

Satisfactory but plan to get your own breakfast.

I only stayed here one night. It is close to O'Hare and the price was right. If you're planning to stay for a long time, I assume you'd prepare your own food. BUT the listing said that there is a "continental breakfast" and there is not. There is a cart with coffee and granola bars. That's it. Those two things. There are not tables where you can sit down. Typically, a hotel with a continental breakfast at least has juice, some rolls, jam, fruit, coffee, and a place to sit. In other words, even though it's not a big breakfast, it'll tide you over for several hours. The television was also unimpressive if that's important to you. Anyway, the place is fine and you should stay there. Just leave time to forage for food.
