Beautiful hotel, amazing location, top notch pool and gym compared to other hotels in Chicago. This is one of my favorite places to stay in Chicago! The rooms are small but that is about the only thing I could say could be better. Complementary upgrades on low occupancy days would be a good idea. over come the room sizes. occupancy

Rude staff! Old not rennovated as told! Charged us for beverages we didnt use so we had to fight them to get our money back! The good thing was breakfast and excellent location!

Location was nice. Some staff were excellent, but others seemed overworked and not knowledgeable about the area. Several times the concierge desk had a “back in 30 minutes sign” when we had a question, and the front desk wasn’t helpful in answering questions. The Grand Tower only has 4 elevators for over 20 floors, so each morning we would wait 10+ minutes while each elevator that stopped was completely full. Usually it took 5-6 elevators stopping at our floor for one to have enough room for us to get on.

Lack of communication from the staff. Also an odd encounter about a charge from the mini bar. It was charged to me prior to me checking out???

The places is old and needs updated . Location is great .

Very clean, good service, nice room, however the elevators take a while. but overall, great stay and wonderful location. right on Michigan Ave.

Hotel was in the heart of the city. Close to many activities and great places to eat in the hotel and around the area. Hotel employees were helpful and very friendly! We were only in Chicago for the weekend and the hotel location was perfect! GREAT experience!

Two resort fees were charged to my account and I stayed less than 24 hours ..when I questioned by text was informed everyone has to pay them

Perfect location. Expensive but I thought it would be worth it. My aunt and her family flew in from NY for her 60th birthday. Her ONLY request was a hotel with a pool. I specifically picked this place because of the pool. When they showed up, it was unavailable. It was about 50% more expensive just for this place - places without a pool were much cheaper in the same area-ish. I called Orbitz and asked to switch hotels - they instead gave us a room upgrade and access to a pool at an alternate hotel which they said was a 5 min walk. There was a horrible snowstorm that weekend and the walk was 20 plus minutes even whiteout snow. Extremely upset that the pool closure was not listed and that Orbitz did not just completely place us in an alternate hotel.

Nice location. Check in took forever as they only had one staff member at the desk.

Great location at the south end of the Magnificent Mile. Hotel staff were exceptionally friendly.
