Friendly staff, poor maintenance

Good price, friendly staff, good location. Room was small and dimly lit, and maintenance was woefully neglected. Two of the three lamps in the room were broken, as was the door handle of the tiny closet. One of the two elevators was out of service throughout our stay, and the other was broken for half a day.

I enjoyed the property decor and I appreciated that they allowed me to check in earlier. I made some friends which is always a highlight to staying in hostels. The location was central and I loved that! However the cleanliness needs major attention. The house keepers are doing their best with the amount of work on their hands. Hire more people. The room was extremely dusty and the AC was not working. The bed furniture and room furniture requires cleaning. There is garbage tucked into the of the bed frames.

We had a decent stay. It was convenient for walking, shops and dining. The property was clean. The atmosphere was amazing. The shaker bar has the best vibes. Our room the bed was comfy, clean, soft pillows and blankets, working ac, there was a toenail on the bathroom floor kind of unsightly but overall just a basic king bed room, clean and tidy. We had no issues or concerns. We enjoyed our stay :)
Shaker bar loved the vibe

really great place to stay for the price. I had a private room, and I loved the lounge and bar area in the hotel -- very cool looking for what is a hostel -- it looks more like an Ace Hotel "lite"
