Chicago South Loop Hotel

nice hotel in south loop area.

I appreciated the spacious (older but well maintained) rooms. clean. good beds. fridge and coffee maker, desk etc. functional business office with free printer. neighborhood seems fine during daylight hours. night is a greater concern. local italian restaruant 0.4 miles away. not much else around there. stayed there attending a meeting in the area and was a good choice for me.

Jaslin Hotel

Nice and clean.

I don’t know why some people came Trying to push themselves into my room. They had been assigned my room; meaning that someone at the desk did not do their job well. But they called me immediately to apologize and fixed it.

AC Hotels by Marriott Chicago Downtown

Not worth the price

When we went to check-in, we had waited 20 minutes b/c the staff was having conversation and taking pictures with another guest. From there the guy couldn't find my reservation, due to my last name, however he said he had searched first and last. I had to look for my confirmation number, but the Internet reception sucked and it took forever to load. Once I finally got my room key, we went up to to the room, only to find that it was not serviced from the previous guests. When I went back to the front desk and told them, they asked me if I was serious? As if I was trying to get over on them. I had taken pictures and shown them, in which case they gave me a new room and sent me on my way. An apology would have been more appropriate... from there we changed and went out passing by the desk, they ignored us,as we were going to ask for places to eat. On check-out the desk guy asked, what card I wanted to pay with, I told him that I had already pre-paid in which he looked confused and then double checked. He then said ok your good to go and I left. The location was great and the room itself was good. The breakfast was ok, but for $25 you can find much better options, considering that I dont eat pork, I had very few choices. Overall I feel that the customer service is severly lacking and that makes for a very poor experience. I personally would not recommend and would not go back.

Sheraton Grand Chicago

Great location

Great hotel. Perfect location (less than a mile away from Millennium Park, Magnificent Mile, Navy Pier, etc., awesome breakfast (if your room includes it). Worth the money. Wi-fi was not included with my room but the receptionist gave me complimentary access for the entire stay. Great experience!
