Upon checking in we walked into a room that smelled terrible with food left in the fridge and microwave, had prints on the mirror and was overall filthy. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive to the situation so they relocated us to a suite on the 3rd floor (room 304). However, this was the nastiest room I've ever seen. It smelled like a dog pee, dog hair was embedded in the carpets which appeared to have never been washed, dust piled on surfaces, uncomfortable sofa bed, bathroom floors and shower walls were clearly left unattended to as well. An outdated space is the least of their worries, honestly.Customers should be made aware of these conditions prior to booking. I would never stay here again. In fact, a refund should be issued.

This place was a nightmare. After moving to three different rooms we settled for the least dirty room which was still nasty and smelled horrible.

Less than expected
The room itself was decent and clean. The bathroom needs alot of updating. The toilet was way too low to the floor and the bathtub was old and needs updating. The outside of the hotel needs alot of renovation. It is very old, rusty and dirty. The breakfast was less than expected with the only hot items being eggs and biscuit and gravy. They did have waffles available. Not a delicious breakfast we have been used to at other LaQuinta hotels we have stayed at.

It was the cheapest hotel in the area for a reason... on the surface it was clean enough in the room. The area is really sketchy and you access your room from the outside so that was a little nerve wracking with the fam.

After getting key to room we walked by a fair amount of what looked like homeless people. Upon entering room we noticed someone had obviously been on the bed and pillows were askew. The we change on the dresser and empty drink container on counter. Soap in bathroom was out and had been used. I assume someone has been in there since the cleaning. We went back to get a new room. With the extra time we missed out train to be on time for an event. Overall was not happy
