I used Tripadvisor reviews to book this hotel and they were right on. You won't find a more comfortable, clean and friendly hotel. The moment my husband dropped me off at the front door I noticed that the doors sparkled. Not a fingerprint on all the glass doors. When we entered the lobby it was also spotless and we were greeted very warmly. We had a King room on the third floor and it also was just spotless and clean and very quiet. The bed and the pillows were so comfy after a 15 hr drive. It is very obvious that management takes great pride in this hotel. Search no further. We had such a pleasant stay.
We arrived at the Comfort Inn about 8:30 PM, during a torrential rainstorm, and with no reservation. We were tired, wet, anxious from driving in the storm, and just generally stressed out. Yvette at the desk was wonderful! We were able to get a double room with a mini fridge, which was exactly what we needed, at a reasonable rate. The hotel was very clean and attractive. Our spotless room was well appointed, with everything that we could have needed. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and we were able to get a much needed, good night's sleep. We were extremely pleased and will stay again if we have another need anywhere near the Knoxville area.
Very helpful, non-intrusive staff. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. We found everything we needed for the 3-night stay within walking distance or in the hotel. The bedding here is wonderful, and we got some of the best sleep in months!
Where do I begin??!! My husband and I literally LIVED in this hotel for 9 MONTHS, following a fire that destroyed our home. The first few weeks following the fire were very stressful. But, the owner of this hotel, Shashi Patel, was kind, calming and encouraging; which really helped us to better cope with the situation. I can’t begin to tell you the many, many ways in which he accommodated our needs. From the first day here, we felt like we were staying with friends. The entire staff of the hotel was concerned for our wellbeing, sympathetic to our situation, and respectful of our privacy. They all paid attention to our erratic schedules and went out of their way to clean our room while we were out. One morning, I encountered our usual housekeeper in the hallway. She said, “don’t you have a conference call in a few minutes?” I laughed out loud. I had totally forgotten about the call. You know you’ve been in a hotel too long when the housekeeper knows your schedule better than you do! During the preparation of our new home, I can’t tell you how much mud we tracked into the hotel. We had to come straight from the construction site back to our room to clean up. The hotel was our home, our office, our construction planning hub and our mud room. Never, did anyone say a word about all the mess we brought into the hotel. The staff promptly cleaned up behind us, and did it with a smile. I’ve read lots of excellent reviews about the hotel. I concur that this place is absolutely outstanding! Should you have dropped in at a time when several people were trying to check in simultaneously, or immediately after we had tracked mud through the lobby, into the elevator and down the hallway, you might not get the best first impression. But, after living here for so long, I can say I’ve had a “first” impression, a second, a third……a 200th……. The owner and staff here define the word HOSPITALITY! The hotel owner genuinely cares about his hotel, his guests and his staff. I’ve witnessed so many acts of kindness during my stay here that I can’t begin to count them all. When we moved into the hotel, it felt like we were staying with “FRIENDS.” We finally moved out of the hotel, just a few days ago. Although we are ecstatic about getting into our new place, it feels like we left “FAMILY” behind! We LOVE these people!!! We will always remember their kindness and will remain eternally grateful. They were truly a blessing to us in a very difficult time. ****Travelers**** This hotel is only 30 minutes from Knoxville. It’s well worth the drive!
Stayed at the comfort inn in Harriman tn in August of this year, booked on hotwire.friendly receptionist, clean room no complaints, great fresh breakfast with good choice, hot coffee in reception, I would recommend this hotel
The owner and manager of this hotel comes across as a man of personal integrity and high standards. His staff all seemed friendly and hard-working, making for a comfortable, family-like atmosphere. The decor struck me as extremely artistic, yet simple. I was relieved to learn that they do NOT accept pets. For the eclipse, we had a room at normal rates. Because of my carelessness in packing to go home, we ended up giving them greater than normal trouble. When I contacted them about a forgotten library book, they mailed it back immediately, along with a cane, which I had not yet missed! Next time we pass through Knoxville, this is where we will stay again!
Because of a cancellation we were lucky to get a room for the day of the eclipse. The hotel has modern décor and the art work is outstanding. Mr. Patel was very friendly and accommodated our special requests like early check in. We knew the hotel was full but we did not notice. Mr. Patel still found time for a chat. All the staff was very friendly, from the server in the breakfast room to the cleaning ladies. The pool offers a great view of the Tennessee landscape. The nearby Roane County Park is well worth a visit. It is free and offers a large swimming area in the river and a splash pad.
We enjoyed our stay at Comfort Inn, Harriman. The hotel was clean, our room was awesome and the staff friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom roomy and clean. The breakfast buffet had enough variety to suit different moods and tastes. There is a train track and moderately busy train activity directly across from the front of the hotel. We had a room on the front of the hotel and barely noticed the noise. We will definitely stay again if we're ever in the area again.
We stayed one night and found the facility to be very clean and quite comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was certainly ample. We had an minor issue with room assignment. We were given keys to a particular room, but assigned in the computer to another room. That was not a problem until another couple was assigned the room we were in, after checking in late, and tried to use their key card to get into the room after midnight. waking us up. Unfortunately, after that we did notice noise from trains running along the railroad tracks immediately across the highway from the hotel. Overall, except for that problem, we had a good stay.
This hotel has always been good, but last night the check in lady was VERY kind, quick and helpful. The rooms are always clean, up to date and the breakfast is well above average. I stay here 2-4 times a year.
