The location was good for what we needed it for, it was close to the beach. The staff was great

It was okay. Staff was never available at the front desk in the mornings.

check in was very simple and unproblematic, very sweet staff

I chose ABVI because it was listed as 'pet friendly'. My two dogs each weigh just under 60lbs and i was charged for them accordingly. [Charging by weight seems to be a standard practice when it comes to pets] I would have spent the same amount to board them ($20 per dog, per night), but the whole point of my beach getaway was to spend it with my two faithful companions. The A/C worked great and, although small, the room suited my purposes/needs for the three of us. It was close to the beach, which is also what i wanted. All told, i spent a bit more than what i'd anticipated for two nights, but i enjoyed myself. In the final analysis, i guess that's all that matters. Free coffee (but nothing else) was available in the morning. Again, that was fine with me.

It was a nice place to stay and a great location .

staff was awesome and friendly hotel was clean and always changed daily good experience

You go to Port A to spend time on the beach, fishing etc. so all you really need is a decent place to sleep. Therefore I do not expect a lot when I book a 2 star hotel. I do expect that the door will open fully, the floor of the room will be relatively flat, there will be soap in the bathroom, and the coffee maker will have some instant coffee and condiments. You should not expect any of these at this establishment. The door only opened just wide enough to get in the room due to one of the rooms interesting and undulating floor features. The microwave on top of the mini fridge listed noticeably to the right. The towels were so coarse that they could be referred to them as exfoliating towels. This is a one star hotel at best in my opinion.

This hotel is awesome in terms of location and quality. The beach, good restaurants and good stores are all a stone's throw away, and the rooms are very comfortable. I was also able to reserve my room for the weekend on short notice for a very reasonable price.

Exterior of motel was very old and needed painting and general repair. Interior room had electrical wires that needed to be covered. Plumbing/tile work needed repair in kitchnette area - very old and outdated. For the money, it was disappointing.

Husband and I went for a couple days to do some fishing. The pictures make it look okay, but it is far from it. First of all the bathroom and the TV were very tiny. We had left to fish and got back around 3 in the morning, ready to bathe and go to sleep but when we walked in the room had not been cleaned, bed was messed up and to make matters worse we had no clean towels.........I was fuming hot!! We went to the window and rang the bell two or three times but no one ever came. Thank goodness we had bought two beach towels earlier that day so we used them but if we hadn't had those it would not have been good at all. Then the next morning I go to the office to ask for clean towels and the man asked for the used towels first so I had to walk back to my room get my dirty towels and swap them out for clean ones, that is crazy!! I understand some people may take them so they are keeping up with inventory but it is an inconveince. For the money I had paid for this room I would except someone to clean the room and leave clean towels. If you are looking for a room that has breakfast in the morning, there is none here! I would never ever go back to this place again!! A few good things was the air conditioner worked well, and the fridge was clean other than that, YUK!!
