Candlewood Suites Clarksville

Right off interstate 24, in Clarksville. Kitchens in each room. Full refrigerator, mini stove, sink, microwave, dishwasher. Same price we paid night before with a lot of extras. Had a small table, recliner and plenty of room. If you needed to stay for a week or longer, this would work.

My wife and I own a business in Cape Coral, FL and with the Hurricane Irma on its way, we needed to find a place far enough away to continue to operate our business with our computer and business phone. So we chose to drive to Clarksville Tn and found Candlewood Suites online. We had to bring our German Shepherd and cat with us, so a pet friendly hotel was required. We picked the perfect hotel! In short, our stay was perfect. The staff was wonderful and friendly. We stayed for a week in a studio suite and it was great for our business needs. I gave the survey mostly 10's in all questions, so that should tell you how we felt about our stay. I am an early riser, and I loved the 24/7 free coffee available! The free laundry machines were there right on site. Full size frig, stove, micro let us cook almost every night. However, there are so many food choices within minutes of the hotel that we did eat out on a few nights. I also want to thank the desk clerks as they changed my reservation to allow for me to extend my stay at the last minute, despite the fact that they had a full hotel. They were just great to help me out! I travel a lot with my business, however, this was the first time I have stayed at a Candlewood Suite, but it will not be my last. I need to mention that my dog also settled in right away and everyone including the staff always made a point to come and pet him whenever we went outside. My cat, well, its a cat. LOL. He was fine with the room also but I am not sure he even knew we were not still back home!

I made a reservation the day before we needed it. It was about the only pet friendly hotel in the area. I was shocked when I was informed of the pet charge but after a bit of talking it was lowered to a reasonable rate for a small cat. The beds were twin size which made it a bit uncomfortable for two people but we managed. I really needed three beds as along with me was my wife and my son and daughter. I liked the cleanliness and friendliness of the place but may need to find something nearby that can provide 2 queen beds and a fold out or roll away for our trip next year.

This is considered an "extended stay" hotel, so rooms have full kitchen (big fridge, microwave, dishes, 2 burner stovetop). No breakfast offered but little alcove off lobby sells a few food items if you do not want to bring own food. Room was quite large & comfortable. Bathroom is good sized. Free laundry facilities for guests on first floor with a few pieces of gym equipment in an adjacent area. Outdoor patio with grill. Many chain restaurants available nearby.

We were traveling through and stopped here after a long day of travel. The staff was welcoming, the room was room and clean, beat of all the beds were comfortable. We highly recommend you stay here if you're coming through.

We were very unhappy with our stay. It started when we called to make our reservation. They answered the phone Famous Dave's. That should have been my first clue. I called back to add a day to our stay and was put on hold for several minutes which is a common practice at this hotel. I ended up hanging up and not extending my stay. My room had ants in the kitchen area. I had to find the maintenance man because there was no one at the front desk. I was over charged and it took a week to get credited back. I was put on hold many times. The customer service was poor. Bottom line they didn't listen which resulted in more problems. So disappointed.

After driving 7 hours to get to Clarksville from Chicago, we were so ready to have a long night of sleep. Well the room was cozy, of course we checked out everything when we entered the room, one bed was squeaky, pillows had stains on some of them. The ice maker did not work! But just some minor things. During the middle of night was woke up by a dog barking. So of course, that peaceful rest was interrupted, but all in all, still a decent stay! The room did include a small kitchenette,

Let me start off on a good note. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is being rebranded. Lots of construction stuff around. One end of the parking lot was blocked off for the first 3 days of my stay. The garbage disposal did not work, bathroom exhaust fan was separated/hanging from ceiling, bathtub had cracks with poor repair job, and shower curtain rod was loose and sagging. Better Business Bureau sticker was about 3 years expired. Smoking area was right out front door, cig butts everywhere on ground.

My mother and I stayed here Saturday night at a cost of $104. Our room had a mini kitchen with a full sized refrigerator and a dishwasher and anything you would need to prepare food. The room was big and clean! The bed felt good and the top quality sheets were perfect. However, our room #106 was directly next door to housekeeping and at 9:00 pm (same time we went to bed) the washing machine started up, very loud I may add. I called front desk and asked how long should we expect to hear that and she said it would stop as soon as cycle completed and it did! Would stay here again but not in this room.

There was nothing exceptional about this hotel. The room was very roomy and clean. I love the set up with a separate room for the bedroom. The kitchen area was nice and pretty stocked with the things you may need for an extended stay. The pantry area was nice too. Our bed was comfortable also. There was some remodeling being done, as I read on the signs posted throughout the hallways. Some of my issues were that there wasn't a breakfast. They offered a 10% discount at Shoneys around the corner. The walls were very thin. I believe there was a herd of elephants staying in the room above us. We investigated to see if that's maybe where they were remodeling and doing some work but it wasn't. It was a little munchkin running back and forth rolling a chair also. I didn't have a huge issue with that because I was also traveling with a future track star and I was afraid it was going to disturb the people below us. Service was just okay. Overall, I could have spent the same amount of money at a different hotel with a complimentary breakfast, but we are pretty loyal IHG guests so our options were limited.
