We were very unhappy with our stay. It started when we called to make our reservation. They answered the phone Famous Dave's. That should have been my first clue. I called back to add a day to our stay and was put on hold for several minutes which is a common practice at this hotel. I ended up hanging up and not extending my stay. My room had ants in the kitchen area. I had to find the maintenance man because there was no one at the front desk. I was over charged and it took a week to get credited back. I was put on hold many times. The customer service was poor. Bottom line they didn't listen which resulted in more problems. So disappointed.

After driving 7 hours to get to Clarksville from Chicago, we were so ready to have a long night of sleep. Well the room was cozy, of course we checked out everything when we entered the room, one bed was squeaky, pillows had stains on some of them. The ice maker did not work! But just some minor things. During the middle of night was woke up by a dog barking. So of course, that peaceful rest was interrupted, but all in all, still a decent stay! The room did include a small kitchenette,

Let me start off on a good note. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is being rebranded. Lots of construction stuff around. One end of the parking lot was blocked off for the first 3 days of my stay. The garbage disposal did not work, bathroom exhaust fan was separated/hanging from ceiling, bathtub had cracks with poor repair job, and shower curtain rod was loose and sagging. Better Business Bureau sticker was about 3 years expired. Smoking area was right out front door, cig butts everywhere on ground.

My mother and I stayed here Saturday night at a cost of $104. Our room had a mini kitchen with a full sized refrigerator and a dishwasher and anything you would need to prepare food. The room was big and clean! The bed felt good and the top quality sheets were perfect. However, our room #106 was directly next door to housekeeping and at 9:00 pm (same time we went to bed) the washing machine started up, very loud I may add. I called front desk and asked how long should we expect to hear that and she said it would stop as soon as cycle completed and it did! Would stay here again but not in this room.

There was nothing exceptional about this hotel. The room was very roomy and clean. I love the set up with a separate room for the bedroom. The kitchen area was nice and pretty stocked with the things you may need for an extended stay. The pantry area was nice too. Our bed was comfortable also. There was some remodeling being done, as I read on the signs posted throughout the hallways. Some of my issues were that there wasn't a breakfast. They offered a 10% discount at Shoneys around the corner. The walls were very thin. I believe there was a herd of elephants staying in the room above us. We investigated to see if that's maybe where they were remodeling and doing some work but it wasn't. It was a little munchkin running back and forth rolling a chair also. I didn't have a huge issue with that because I was also traveling with a future track star and I was afraid it was going to disturb the people below us. Service was just okay. Overall, I could have spent the same amount of money at a different hotel with a complimentary breakfast, but we are pretty loyal IHG guests so our options were limited.

This hotel has an outstanding location!! 45 minutes from Opry and close to numerous restaurants and shops. TV in room is small for the size of the room. Our room had some humidity issues. Staff was very friendly.

The beds and chairs were comfy, and the people in the lobby were nice. It was close to local stores, and had a "lending locker" which was very helpful. The location was very convenient. Finally, the mini store inside was also convenient, equipped with hair brushes, shower caps, and snacks etc... In conclusion our stay at Candlewood Suites was great.

Plenty of outlets, most in the right place. Bed very comfortable. Unfortunately, the person in an adjacent room started playing loud music around 5:30 AM. Mentioned to staff when we checked out and they said we should have called desk. We just weren't sure which room and it was too late to go back to sleep. Only one luggage cart visible when we checked in and checked out. May be a problem for those with lots of suitcases.

We stayed here for only one night. We checked in, left and got something to eat and then returned to the room. My wife, who has very strong problems with odors noticed right away the room smelled very musty, as soon as we turned off the A/C it was a bit better. Only problem was this was July and it was HOT!. I went down to the desk and asked if someone could at least come change the filter in the unit. I was told yes they could do that and a form was filled out for maintenance. I returned to the room and we waited for 3 hours and decided no one was coming. Went to go to bed and there was hair on the sheets. I decided it was too late and easier to just sleep on top of the bed on our own blanket. Then when I went to take a shower my towel had brown spots on it, I used a hand towel that looked clean to dry off. The next day at check out when they asked me how my stay was I told them the whole story. No one was aware of the smell problem that we had or that we slept with the air off all night. There of course was nothing they could do for us but give us some points on our account.I could tell the ownership, did not allow them to help us more.Strange enough when I got back to the room, we were not quite ready to leave when I went down to pay, they called and asked if we were still there and that they wanted to bring me a letter and refund, I could not understand exactly what she said on the phone. We were leaving so I did not open the letter until we were on the rode. The letter was a letter of apology from the manager in charge and a very strange $45 dollars in cash refund on a $170.00 room. Later i assumed maybe that was from the manager personally. I have had issues with Candlewood hotels in the past but let them go but this time was just too much, never again will I stay at a Candlewood, too many other options out there.

This was my first stay a Candlewood Hotel but this is what my company’s travel agent reserved for us. Located of Exit 4 off of I24 (known locally just as Exit 4) this hotel is well placed near a commercial area that has a mall and plenty of restaurants. However for my extended stay it sure was nice to make my own simple meals in my well-equipped suite. My total stay was 7 days. The Staff was fabulous and very real in their friendliness. Check in was quick and a nice briefing was given explain some of the cool stuff they had there. While I am talking about staff not only were the front desk folks fabulous but housekeepers always had time to answer a question or just give you a friendly greeting of the day. The room was well set up. I had a two nice queens beds and my favorite the recliner. A nice size dining and work area and an adequate TV. If I had to make a grip is would be the TV as connecting to your hdmi cable was not made very easy and the remote did not include a way to change inputs. You had to change inputs manually on the side of the TV. But is that really a grip? Loan closet: I brought my own coffee grinder and coffee beans from home. The loan closet had an actual full size drip coffee maker! Life suddenly got great. Check out their loan closet it is pretty cool. The Candlewood Cupboard is the best with everything they could squeeze into it. There is also coffee always on in there and it is free. You can pay cash or charge items to your room so it very convenient. The Laundry has plenty of washing machines and dryers to me your needs. If you need detergent, bleach, or anti-static sheets go to the Cupboard and purchase some. One not here in the dryers before you load your cloths check that the lint screen is clean some folks for get to do the when the finish. There is an awesome Outdoor Gazebo Grill behind the hotel. Makes for some good cooking going on back there. I don’t know if it is because the staff is so friendly but the guest are just as friendly! The seating out at the Gazebo is all a social area and many a stranger have become friends there. But all the guest seemed to have a “Good Morning” or “How are doing”. How good was my stay at Candlewood? So good I am writing this from another Candlewood.
