The location is really key. In a city of less than 150,000 this is a great hotel with a great location. My room was a king suite with full kitchen and laundry! For the price this was a sweet deal. It is close to a grocery store, restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and really all the key amenities in a city this size. The staff were friendly, thank you Meaghan K. for your great service! If you are going to Abbortsford definitely consider this hotel.
This location is very nice. The staff is wonderful, very attentive, helpful and friendly. I stay here for business about once a month and this is always the location I prefer. Kaman the manager is wonderful as well and very helpful .
Our outside sales team always request to stay at this location when in Abbotsford, great location and excellent accommodations. Very quiet, rooms are very spacious with all the amenities at home. Restaurants near by.
Stayed at this hotel for over a week for business purpose. The beds are so comfortable, i wish i had stayed there longer. PErsonnel is friendly, the restaurant is so,so. Dennys. But at least the breakfast are good. parking is easy and the hotel is close to the shopping mall, 2 min away.
I stayed here in an king suite and really enjoyed it.The room had a separate bedroom,a very nice living room and a kitchen. The room was spotless and noise free. The front desk were very professional and friendly, Thanks for a great one night stay !! It's very clean, modern, and a very good value. I would stay here again.
We were in Abbotsford for the weekend and needed a place to stay overnight. We booked a suite and we were delighted by the quality of the accommodation. The suite had a full living room and well equipped kitchen. The bedroom and ensuite bathroom were well maintained and equipped. We had a pleasant stay at this hotel.
Had to book two rooms due to this weekend's power outage in Abbotsford. Pleasantly surprised at how spacious the suites are and the beds extremely comfortable. My elderly parents normally not able to sleep well outside of their home, but they had no trouble sleeping at Sandman. Front duty manager Corey very professional and friendly and above all empathetic of the situation. Next day, checked out thinking the power would return - was wrong. Called Corey to see if rooms available but sold out - however, he took the effort to suggest options - transferred me to other Sandman (Airport location which had power outage, but possibly restored) to see if rooms available and put my name on Sandman Abbotsford's waitlist in event rooms open up. His assurance that his colleague Megan would follow up was proven sincere - Megan called as soon as there was availability. This is great service and going the extra mile to help a guest in need.
Nice place. Easy efficient check in/out. Quiet. Convenient nearby restaurant options. I was put into a suite with a stack washer and dryer - great rooms can be found here! Every once in a while you encounter accommodations that you can recommend - this is one of those!
I stay here for business often and I’m always impressed with the staff, cleanliness of the room and location. Having the Denny’s open 24hrs attached to the hotel and the moxies in the parking lot is very conveneient not to mention the superstore across the street and the mall around the corner. I will stay here again.
We stayed here for 2 nights with a hockey team. There were about 5 hockey teams and at least 1 basketball team staying at the hotel this weekend so it was very busy with kids around. The good -- the room is large and is an equipped apartment. When travelling with sports team this is great! We had a living room to sit and relax in, a kitchen to cook healthy meals in, a place to sit and eat, a washer dryer to handle the stinky clothes and an extra room/closet where we could hide the gear. Nice to have a balcony as well. A king sized bed in the room was also nice. The suite was well equipped and super comfortable. The location was also excellent with grocery stores within walking distance, two restaurants in the parking lot, a mall across the street etc. Great location and easy in and out of the hotel. Lots of easy and free parking. The Bad --- All of the rooms that our team received only had 1 bed -- this is a major problem with a sporting team travelling as a family. We received 2 blow up air mattresses for the kids. both of them were deflated when the boys woke in the morning. We had them blown up again for the second night and one child decided to sleep on the couch instead and the other again woke up with the mattress deflated and sleeping partially on the floor. Yes they are kids, but they are athletes and sleeping on the floor is not ideal for them. Second flaw of this hotel is there is no where for people to sit and mingle, no rooms where parents could sit and chat etc, we don't necessarily want to leave the hotel to go restaurant/bar to chat when the kids are in bed. Having a room available for parents even just an open area where they are allowed to sit and chat would have been welcome. We would stay here again if we were able to have a room with more than one bed, we would not stay here again as a family if the air mattress was the only option. When we booked we did ask if there was any other options for rooms and were told that we were not able to book anything different due to our group reservation, I gladly would have paid extra for my kids to have a bed. We were required to stay at this hotel by the tournament.
