Pros: Great location, king bed available, generally helpful and friendly staff, lighted makeup mirror Negatives: : Somewhat dingy bathroom needing paint with cheap ceramic tile and porcelain bathtub/shower and sliding farm door, one of two elevators out of order all weekend, unhelpful general policy of no late checkouts (asked for two hours) unrelated to daily circumstances, room was small for this price range-room picture deceptive, noisy daily (including weekends) trash pickup outside room at 6 am

It was our 24th wedding anniversary and our first time in Charleston. The Mills House was the perfect location in the French Quarter. The hotel suprised us with champagne and chocolate strawberries!

the lobby was beautiful but the rooms were a little tired looking in areas and some of the beds were sunken in the middle

We walked the entire city as well as visiting Kiawah Island, Folly Beach and Isles of Palms Beach.

EXCELLENT experience here! The staff are so attentive! I would definitely stay here again.

Common areas of the hotel are very impressive. Location is ideal - restaurants and cafes are very close, and walking to the battery is easy. Rooms are a little small, but well furnished. Housekeeping was excellent.

Cant beat a hotel that you can walk to mostly everything in the city, including the best restaurants, tourist areas and shopping. The hotel was beautiful and clean and smelt amazing (weird but true). The staff was nice and accommodating. Would recommend to family and friends.

It was my birthday and the hotel staff sent a bottle of wine and fruit to my room free of charge.

Clean, great staff. Easy parking. You can walk to major attractions like the market & carriage rides. Lobby is pretty. Pool looked nice; stayed in December so it wasn't in use. Charleston is a nice city to explore & this hotel made it easy to so

Fantastic location, beautiful hotel, great restaurant, helpful staff and just perfect for our weekend getaway!

Beautiful hotel! The staff was very accominating and very friendly. I loved my stay and will definitely return to The Mills House.

no complaints, everything was very nice and the staff was excellent.

Beautiful hotel, bright and lovely. Nice pool area and facilities. In the heart of Charleston with great walking to the Battery, waterfronts, around the tip of the Peninsula, to restaurants, and of course, the historic housing districts. Main drawback-parking is a premium not included, but there is a hotel lot across the street and a city lot in back of the hotel, both extra charges to expect.

Lovely historic hotel! We have stayed several times and have enjoyed each visit.

Exellent hotel, centrally located in the historical center. We were very grateful for the warm hospitality we receive.

I stayed for three nights in Dec. of 2015. Great walking location to visit the French Quarter and all the really great restaurants. Beautiful, classy public areas and two wood paneled bars as well as a very private outdoor heated pool. I can recommend this hotel without exception,

Another great stay, but this time as a relaxing post-baby getaway. Wonderful location and the staff was great. Even though our check in was delayed, they provided us with some vouchers for drinks/breakfast.

The hotel as a whole was great. Room was great. Staff was polite. Located at a good location in Charleston.

We love this place, the hotel is beautiful and very well keep. Is in a excelent location, just walk outside and there are So many things to do and to see.
