The walkways and parking lot were pretty dirty and with small pieces of trash. The toilet was broken, though functional. The faucet in the bathtub was leaking, and the bathtub did not look very clean. The general condition of this property was not up to Motel 6 standards. I stay at Motel 6's almost always because they allow pets. We were not traveling with pets on this occasion, but I still try to patronize Motel 6's. So I have seen many of them around this country and Canada. While they are a budget chain, they are generally very clean and predictable. This one was not so nice.
The property is gross. Smells like smoke from all the people smoking, the room had roaches. One towel and shower was disgusting.

Dirty room, smelled like pot, neighbors were out of control, but staff was exceptional and they accommodated our pets as we were moving across the country.
Poor furnishings. End table was rotted out on bottom. Lighting too poor for us to read. Room was nice size but mattress needs replacing. Towels were poor quality and stained.
Terrible conditions. Cockroaches forced us to "nap" with the lights on all night. We left our belongings in the vehicle and slept on top of a blanket we trashed the following morning. I would not recommend this place to a friend...an enemy yes but not a friend.
We spent the night near Knoxville and this hotel had a good rate. Bed was very comfy and the internet was good. Overall it was pretty basic.
We found a roach when we first got in. The staff offered to let us switch rooms. We thought that if one room has them then the all would and it was only one so we let it go. Over the course of the night, I killed about 6 roaches. On the surface, the room looked clean. However, if you look further it was not. The lining under the sheets was dirty. It was like someone slept on it with boots on and they didn't bother to change it. The comforter had cigarette burn holes. The corners and edges of the room were dirty. There were errant hairs. The tub to shower junctions were so gross. There was graffiti on the back of the bathroom door and wall. I've stayed at a lot of hotels in all price points, but I've never stayed at one this bad. I assumed that the price I paid was because of demand due to the eclipse. But, on the back of the bathroom door, it said that the regular bathroom price was $200! This hotel has no business charging anywhere close to that.

Night staff scary. Police summoned during the night and circling the lot. Possible drug deals. Cientele questionable. You'll fear for your life. I didn't sleep. Inexpensive but not worth the danger even if you're on a budget. Checked out early. Day staff accommodating. Stay at your own risk.
