My single room was a little small but as I had left the cat at home, there was no issue about swinging it. Police cells are larger but the linen is not so clean ! The room was very fresh and tidy, if a little warm. I didn't find the temperature control until the morning and had to have the window open all night as a result - which led to noise from passing drunks. For reference, the radiator had a control on it, so that's my mistake. The only disconcerting thing was the cockroach trap under the bed but, as I saw no cockroaches, it clearly works. The small basement Shisha bar closes bang on 11 but appears pleasant, if your not stopping the staff from closing up as we were. There is no facility for breakfast here, other than the nice toffees on the reception desk. There is a 10% discount for residents crossing the road to another hotel - my review of which is to follow. It is well worth the walk across the road - even in pyjamas !
Friendly, welcoming staff. Clean rooms and VERY comfortable beds. Nice array of toiletries. Lovely little bar/garden under the hotel but oh my goodness those wide angle shots are VERY mis-leading! The 6 rooms we saw were tiny and the bathrooms miniscule. Barely enough room to turn around!! My husband knees were actually knocking against the wall when he sat on the loo and he had to sit sideways! This is a lovely little hotel for anyone under 6 foot tall! Extra charge for using AMEX.
This is a comfortable 3 star hotel in a great location. Staff were very nice. I stayed here for 3 nights with my partner. Bed and room were comfortable and spacious. The only issue we had was noise. We could hear people walking upstairs and other guests taking showers. There is a pub at the rear of the hotel, and we were disturbed by noise coming from the pub in addition to the wind rattling the sash window in our room.
Do not waste your money staying here the manager is a disgrace she is so unhelpful and RUDE she clearly looks down her nose at everyone I have never been made to feel so unwelcome by anyone as I have by her I feel so sorry for anyone that has to work with her the hotel is cheap lookin for not cheap prices the Travelodge is much better
Stayed here on a mid week night. The room was upgraded for free for us which was nice and had a large bed and small shower room. The decor is dated and in need of freshening up and the floorboards were incredibly noisy. You can also hear noise from the adjoining rooms due to the thin walls. Having said this the staff on reception were friendly and polite. We didn't have breakfast so I am unable to comment on this. Parking could be an issue. There is parking on the streets nearby by it is permit only between 9-5pm. The hotel provides limited parking which was full when we arrived and meant an early wake up to move the car. Not the most relaxing!
The staff are very friendly and professional and are always there to help. Because of their hospitality, you are made to feel welcome at all times. The rooms are cosy and comfortable. Location of the hotel is fantastic and you will be able to travel around Bristol without any problems. The only minor issue is parking for cars, but a part from that, cannot complain.
Very friendly staff and good clean room. Good location near no 8 bus to Bristol centre, not far from Clifton village and suspension bridge. Parking could be a problem but hotel does have some spaces and they made an effort to find us a space on their forecourt. Breakfast not inspiring but adequate.. Note it is a listed building and does not have lift - but we (old crocks!) were given a ground floor room. Would use the Regency again
I had a bad experience staying at this hotel as the bed was not comfortable at all. I asked for an extra pillow which was not given. This is really over priced for bed and breakfast as you can get 4 star hotel for this price.
Staff are excellent. Your maid to feel welcome. A professional presents of a hardworking class of its own. I'd definitely stay there again There a nice bar over the road , great food and drink. Room was perfect. A great nights sleep. Thank you AndyROB
Got a bargi off booking.com very spur if the moment and was pleasantly surprised. Parking is limited but we managed to gwt the last space, if you're not so lucky there is plenty of on street parking available. Couldn't fault the room the shower was amazing and the bed extremely comfy. Staff were extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome from check in to check out. Would happily recommend.
