Stayed here while going to a ladies night.. The check was quite slow but good. The room was your average Novotel but a little dated, the air con hardly existed so had to open windows so the room was then filled with noise from the main road outside.. Went down to the bar for a drink which was expensive 2 cocktails for £22.. The bed was very hard and one of the room lights would not work...
My wife and I stayed here with some friends on the weekend of the 17th June. As far as hotels go, it's pretty standard but it was comfortable and clean, and the staff were courteous and helpful. It's centrally located if you're looking to see Bristol city so for that for that reason I'd recommend it
Good size Executive room. Well equipped and very comfortable bed. Check in slow and was made to wait while another customer was being assisted with an IT problem. Not slick although a quiet room was found for me. Staff courteous. Very close to rail links.
The room was nice and large, with everything in it you'd like to see. However there were a couple of things that weren't great, and would make us consider other options of hotels in the future. There was thumping music being played at 6am from somewhere, also there were only two very small towels in the room, almost hand towels, instead of bath towels. We requested a travel cot for our son, but it was very shoddy and one of the sides kept coming down. Also, when I got back to my room, my key wasn't working, but this was sorted straight away. Overall a good stay, but a few things lacked attention.
Stayed at this hotel for a team building and meetings. The rooms were clean and had all you needed for a short stay. The meeting rooms were well equipped and both lunch and breakfast was really nice, good quality.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is functional in design although does have its quirks and faults. Main issues are the food, the gym being used out of hours and disturbed nights sleep. The restaurant has the potential to provide great food but the execution lets the quality down and hence the food is average. The gym is located in the top floor and has specific hours of usage but some guests decide that don't have to abide by these hours. The hotel don't seem to be bothered about preventing this. The gym should be lock to prevent out of hours usage. The constant door banging and gym usage out of hours mean ear plugs or alcohol are a must unless you like a few hours sleep a night.
I was here for 3 days on a business trip, And as the title says really even though I was only there for a short stay I can't fault the place, The room was good, Bed was comfy and I enjoyed the breakfast and dinner I had, Only downside was I had a fire alarm ring off at 23:15 in the evening on the night before a meeting at 9am so it kept me awake, But the staff on reception were very apologetic about it. The hotel itself is based within walking distance of most shops and the city centre, I used the car park mostly which can be quite costly, If you're staying here make sure to budget that in your plan.
I've stayed in a few Novotels, generally having had good experiences. We booked the room online and arrived quite late, greeted (if you call it that) by the rude, arrogant Ben - night receptionist. He rudely judged us on how we looked, point blank ignoring our questions regarding the facilities and other general enquiries. Room and stay , faultless as usual. However, we left feeling disgruntled due to how we were treated by Ben. Being a face for the company, he definitely let Novotel down. Customers tell 1 -2 people regarding good experience - on the flip 5- 6 people regarding they're bad experience. DONT JUDGE YOUR CUSTOMERS! !
Helpful and efficient staff, excellent breakfast, perfectly clean room and bathroom, bit sterile in decor. Easy parking. Only real irritation was the absence of a little free bottle of water in the room fridge, reception told me I would have to pay for that. I think that is a very stingy and mean approach to customer service. A free bottle of water is available in so many hotels of this standard, why not here?
Nice hotel, rooms clean and standard Novotel. Good parking facilities under the hotel. It is well priced and in a reasonable location. Everything good, only down side is that it totally lacks atmosphere. We stayed there a few times and it is always quiet and it always feels like you are pretty much the only people in the hotel. Nice place though and would recommend.
