Stayed here for a Friday and Saturday night and all in all in was a nice hotel at a great price. Location was fantastic, minutes away from lots of shops, restaurants and bars. Staff at check in were great, very friendly and helpful and we even got in our room early which was much appreciated. The downstairs area looked lovely, nice bar looking reception, bar and restaurant. Our room was nice, big enough for us and most importantly it was clean, it was also quiet. The only slight issues we had were the air con in the room was not very good and the room was very hot, also the pillows in the room were far to soft for my liking and these to things combined led to a poor nights sleep for me. Also the TV picture was very poor but probably just a connection issue and not a problem for us as we didn't really have much time for TV. The Travelodge is over the road from this hotel and I would recommend this over the Travelodge and I would stay here again.
Moved rooms 4 times in 1 week until I got a quiet room. Road noise is amplified, music all night can be heard in the rooms on first floor (110 atleast), curtains do not fit and are broken in all rooms so awoken by day light at 6am, mouldy windows due to extreme condensation, wood window sils completly waterloged amd expanded, single duvets on kingsize beds, tvs inputs broken in all rooms so why offer them, tv remotes barely work, taps sputter due to air in the system, if you dont drink the free water on the fist day it is taken away so use it or lose it. 2 nights i had terrible sleep had to complain multipul times till i was lucky enough to get an adequate room on the 4th attempt and was told that i was given bad rooms as they were fully booked as if this was some kind of appology or was suppused to make it all ok. Honestly the worst week in a hotel i have had. Dreaded going back to that hotel every day and the only good point was checking out knowing i never had to go back again.
Walking distance from railway station in about 10 minutes, staff behind checking very helpful and couldn't do enough for you, bar and reception are huge and not used on the 1st night which was a Fri anyway, drinks are very expensive and restaurant food which was probably why not a soul in the restaurant while we were sat in the bar, if food and drink were cheaper with maybe a bar snack menu it would be busier, rooms were compact but clean and functional, didn't sleep well with noise coming from outside and inside hotel in the early hours, wouldn't stay again, plus side is its right in the heart of shops and restaurants
The reception and bar area looks fab and the rooms are modern and clean. I went to the restaurant for dinner and got there I think at the best time at 7pm and it got busier, it didn’t feel like there was enough staff on and people were waiting a while to order. Myself included, it took 25 minutes for my dessert to arrive. The staff were so friendly though just very busy! I then had a terrible nights sleep as the room was ridiculously warm and the air con unit just blew out really hot air and I was unable to open the window so let any air in it was very uncomfortable. I was advised that they have support 24/7 when checking out. They were accommodating to allocate me a quiet room when I asked upon checking in.
Spent just three nights here but the room was far too small to unpack. Negligible storage spare with open rail wardrobe. Breakfast was nice. Bar is cosy though fires aren't real. Twin beds and bedding aren't the comfiest. Nevertheless, the location is excellent, the cost is very reasonable and the staff are extremely polite and courteous.
Modern. Stylish. Welcoming. Relaxed atmosphere. Quiet. Liked everything about it. Would certainly stay here again and at any other hotel in the chain. Clean. One of the most comfortable beds have ever slept in.
The breakfast is good, staff is very kind. The room was okay, clean and modern. Though the wifi is bloody slow. One night the firealarm went around midnight when quite some people were already sleeping. We went down to the assembly point, turned out somebody was fooling around. It was quite a shocking experience, but at least the stuff was kind.
Very expensive but a good hotel with good facilities, food and service. Nice rooms but had a broken shower first night which was disappointing. Fixed quickly though. Conference room was average and the facilities and drinks were quite a way away from the room. Had a broken projector too.
Live locally and pop in from time to time for drinks when in town. Jakob on the bar and Weronika on the front desk are always so genuinely lovely and friendly to everyone they meet, as is Fiona on the front desk who is just great. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. We will be back.
Hotel was in a good location staff were helpful and readily available, food was good but expensive as nothing was included with main course. Gym was ok but no leg machines available so limited workout available. Rooms were ok but pillows awful and beds rock hard which did not promote a good nights sleep.
