Went here with visitors for a business dinner on 17th July 17. The place is lovely, and the staff polite and attentive. However the food was very disappointing, especially for the above average prices. I took the wood pigeon starter and beef main. Both were very small plates of food... not grounds to be discontent, but also both were very tough to both cut and to eat. Unfortunately one of the worst meals I've had for a while. Some of my colleagues had the Stone Bass which was over cooked and cold. I won't be going back 😞

We recently held my daughter's wedding reception in a marquee in the grounds of Holmwood Park for 120 guests and we had sole use of the hotel with all the bedrooms for our guests. After a few problems with staff changes with the wedding planner leaving 6 weeks before our wedding and some uncertainty who would be in charge, the day was a fantastic success! The staff worked so well as a team and were experienced. A special thankyou to Stefan who is a good team leader and always remained calm and had a smile on his face! The gardeners had the grounds looking wonderful, with freshly planted tubs and beds by the terrace and the lawns cut the afternoon before. I had liased with Ben one of the gardeners so many thanks to him and to the other grounds staff. It was an exceptionally hot day but everything felt under control. My daughter and son in law had been a little disappointed when they went for their food tasting but on the day it was much better than anticipated. Many guests mentioned that the lamb was exceptional and I was very iimpressed that the spinach cooked for those numbers was perfect! The bedrooms and suites were enjoyed by all with many comments about the comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms. We had an absolutely amazing time so thankyou again to all the staff and Ian the manager for all their hard work .

This hotel is in a lovely close to Bath. We had a very quiet stay in a room overlooking the garden. We paid quite a bit of money for one night Saturday B & B so were expecting a high standard. The room was nice and big with a 4 poster bed. Attention to detail was not quite there as the shower gel bottle provided was empty and the very nice glass biscuit jar with the tea and coffee only had 1 biscuit in it. We did not eat at hotel as the price was very high instead we went to the Bathwick Boathouse restaurant in Bath which was exceptional you need to book well in advance for a Saturday night. The breakfast at hotel was very nice. The Spa was very nice with a lovely hot tub and the pool was refreshing as it is outside. Overall relaxing

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary. Upon arrival, the receptionist was friendly and we were shown to our room by another member of staff. The room was clean and well decorated, yet quite small. It was also very hot with only a small window to let some cool air in. Our room also faced onto the main road which took away the quiet and peaceful feel for the area. The shower starts out strong for about 5 seconds and then looses a lot of pressure which was a little bit frustrating. The Spa area was nice and clean. The pool however is out doors and could possibly benefit from a canopy as it was raining when we stayed. Breakfast was nice, but over priced if you have not booked it with the room. You get 1 piece of bacon, 1 sausage, egg, mushrooms and back pudding and some toast. On the 2nd morning we were also a bit forgotten and took ages for them to take our order. WIFI is free and easy to connect to. The grounds are also lovely We paid about £300 for the 2 nights. It was lovely and clean, but compared to some other places we have stayed, it is a little over priced. My husband also requested a morning paper which he never got.

Mum and I came here for afternoon tea and overnight stay..unfortunately we did have a slight problem when we checked in as my mum had spoken to someone previously a few days before we arrived to ask whether it would be ok for my mum and I to have a room downstairs as she has not long had a replacement . Unfortunately there was no rooms downstairs ..however this issue was sorted but the communication between the staff needs to be more sufficient. The room was nice with lovely views . The food was good and the waiters were really friendly and welcoming. The head of the receptionist however, was not as welcoming and as friendly! The afternoon tea was lovely however, it was also a big let down as the garden chairs and tables are cheap and looks awful. Which is a shame as the hotel has beautiful gardens..

This was our 3rd or 4th visit over several years. Small bits of renovation and updating but the attractive quirkiness retained. Beautiful expansive gardens, totally relaxing chill atmosphere. I had booked a 2xnight deal as a surprise for my wife's birthday. The offer was for one up from entry level Room, breakfast and a 2xcourse dinner from either menu for £155.00 per night. Clearly, additions to the menu, booze, coffees, Spa treatments all extra. Seemed very decent deal and so it proved. Check in fine. Room spacious, great view across the front gardens, absolutely wonderful super super King bed, and so comfortable. Bathroom not that well laid out, a little tired and the shower not brilliant but acceptable. Dinner absolutely superb. Portion sizes perhaps a tad minimalistic. Breakfasts, combination of buffet style cold plus usual hot suspects. All well presented, tasty and fresh. The scrambled eggs were exceptional !! Staff all friendly helpful and competent, and service very good. Pool welcoming and gently warmed. Garden surrounding a wonderful sun trap. Bubbles , steam etc all available. The place as said earlier very much has it's own quirky style. Not everyone's taste perhaps, but certainly works still for us. Very relaxing, would recommend and will return.

We live locally in Bath and decided to have a mini weekend getaway at Homewood Park. We booked a deluxe room and it was beautiful. Stunning views and a huge superking bed. The spa was lovely and very relaxing. When we arrived they also had a two-for-one cocktail offer at the bar, which was a great way to spend the afternoon after a spa session! Dinner was delicious and filling. There was a slightly delay in our mains being brought out so they gave us a free glass of prosecco each, which was a lovely thought. I say a slight delay, as we didn't notice until they gave their apologies! Great customer service from all the staff. Thanks Homewood Park.

Prompt service at reception. Led to a good sized deluxe room overlooking the large gardens with a grand four poster bed. Elemis toiletries and homemade melt in the mouth biscuits in room. Arrived on a hot day and relaxed on sunbeds at the outdoor pool and used the large indoor jacuzzi in the attractive spa. Evening meal was excellent with a good selection of wines. Good morning breakfast. Wished we could have stayed another night! We will definately be back!

Without realising I've visited the hotel twice on completely different occasions and different trips. First trip was with my sister about 4 years ago, which we absolutely loved and had a great memories of! We had a full use of the spa facilities, massage, 3 course dinner and breakfast the next day. The room was one of the one upstairs and was stunning with a great view of the gardens. We just couldn't fault anything, all was perfect for what we were paying. Second trip was our friends wedding who had their reception there. All was good but it seem to me the first trip was somehow better.. it should be the other way around though, no? The room (one of the downstairs at the back, still great views of the gardens) interior looked a bit tired, toilet paper holder was hanging loose and there was somebody else's hair. The food for the wedding lunch was tasty and nice, but the nibbles at the champagne reception and buffet later weren't anything special, a bit disappointing actually. The staff were polite, but could do with a bit more friendly smiles, after all, my friends were spending thousands in there.. We had a nice use of the pool and spa the next day as the weather was great, so the whole ending of the weekend was lovely but I think they could do with a freshening up of the whole interior as it's loosing it's magic a bit.

Wonderful stay at Homewood park a beautiful old building set in the countryside with wonderful gardens. When we first arrived staff were very helpful and gave us a good welcome. Room was clean and very big and has everything you need to have a peaceful and relaxing stay. Spa was very relaxing clean and also has a sauna and steam room to unwind and chill. Dinner was cooked to perfection had a great variety on the menu and service was good. Overall a wonderful peaceful relaxing stay at this little gem of a hotel and spa. Thanks Ian and staff
